I am currently 67 years young and had a young girl who works there, tell me what fish I can and can not have in my tank. Mine you, that I have had everything from a 2.5 gallon tank to a 75 gallon tank over the years. Anyway, this young lady spoke to me as if I had no clue as to taking care of a fish tank. Unfortunately, after this experience I will probably never return back there. Sorry, but you just lost a loyal customer of 2 years.

I have interacted with him daily, gave him treats, sing and whistle to him, but he's still terrified of hands because of whatever these people did to him. When I called to voice these concerns I was originally put on hold for near an hour, then when I finally reached the manager she just deflected and denied, even tried to tell me they don't have male employees when I mentioned that he's more scared of males but the kicker is a male employee sold me the bird! So not only do they mislabel and possibly abuse their animals, but they'll lie to your face about it! She offered me a refund if I brought the bird back but I didn't want him to go back into the hands of his abuser. EDIT: I feel like I should also state that they didn't even know the age or gender of the bird when I purchased it. They just had it labeled as a hand fed Cockatiel which in retrospect should have been the red flag to not purchase from these horrid people.

It felt like we were an inconvenience to her by being there, from the second we walked in. Looked at us like she had no clue why we were there. My husband had questions about keeping fish as we're both new to this, and she treated him like he was an idiot for even asking anything. Another employee, a younger man, came and helped us later and I can't say enough good things about him! He was incredibly friendly, offered plenty of knowledge, and helped us get exactly what we needed. Honestly if he hadn't came over and helped us, we were about ready to walk out without buying a single thing. Thanks to him, we made a purchase. Most likely wouldn't go back again specifically because of how rude the lady was. As a customer, I have no desire to be treated like I'm a problem for coming in to spend money at your store.

Not to mention all of the staff are energetic, friendly, and ready to help you how they can. What more could you ask for? Being this is a new store, I'm here to try to get the word out that this is the place to be for all pet owners! I'm giving Pet Supplies Plus 5 Stars out of 5 Stars! EDIT: Alright, I understand fully that this is an independently owned store. But after paying another visit to the store today, I have to address the one major issue with this place. The prices for the product are a bit more expensive than what you could be paying to get the same product elsewhere.... like Walmart for example. Maybe the prices will go down as the business grows, but regrettably, in the interest of fairness I have to revise my review to only 4 stars. If something changes in the future, I'll edit again to give it 5 stars.
