We used them during our Spring Break trip to Scottsdale for airport pickup/drop off as well as an all day trip. We had a late arrival and had our daughter in tow, I was very pleased to land and immediately get a text from the driver that they were there and ready when we were. The communication was very good and we grabbed our bags and met them at the door. Heather was our driver and she was such a joy. She's also a parent and I think she recognized that it had been a long day. She interacted with our five year old during the 30 minute ride to our hotel and we were really grateful for that. She also picked us up when our trip ended and remembered our daughters name and that she needed a booster seat. We also had a driver for a jeep tour that we did and had them for about 7 hours. Our driver was Sam and he was very kind and helpful. When we arrived for our tour it was a little confusing where we needed to be and Sam hopped out and went to figure it out for us. He also helped us with finding a place to eat. We didn't expect the tour to run as late as it did and while we were out he researched some places we could quickly get into without a reservation. That was such a great help and unexpected. There was a lot of driving involved and we ended up keeping Sam for longer than expected but it was all handled smoothly and it was so great that we could relax and let him handled getting us around. We later learned that he had purchased a booster seat for his vehicle when he learned our daughter would need one. It's this kind of thoughtfulness that really made our trip to Scottsdale memorable. So when I am thinking about a taxi company I'm thinking about a company that's local that provides good service with good drivers and decent vehicles. When I went looking for a taxi company in Scottsdale I immediately noticed that Scottsdale Cab company had plenty of reviews and that they had been around for quite some time and had a track record of providing good service. I felt that would be the safest route to take and boy was I right. The taxi that arrived was clean the driver was very well dressed and polite and the car actually got to my residence about 15 minutes early. The driver knocked on my door and assisted me with my luggage and we got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. We left on an early flight so we needed to leave at 4:30. At 4:20, he sent a text saying he was in the driveway. As others stated, his car was immaculate and the carseat looked like it was brand new. When we landed after our return flight, I had a text telling me he saw we landed early and was already at the airport, to text him when we had our bags and exactly where to meet him. The airport was chaos and he pointed out the long line of cars stacked up on the westbound side and took a different route to get us home. I usually just use Discount Cab because I've never had a bad experience with them and they're sort of like the K-Mart of cab service because you know what to expect, you get it and you're done with it. It's easy. Also, their number is easy as all hell to remember. I called Discount Cab to come pick me up and they totally dropped the ball and abandoned me. I texted google to find some other Phoenix cab places and American Discount Cab came up. I decided to give them a call. The driver who answered the phone didn't speak the best English. I had to repeat myself about a gazillion times but he finally came. During our brief exchange over the phone he promised to give me a discount. When he pulled up and I jumped in the cab he was like, "I say I give you discount and I give you discount. I won't charge for pick-up. See? On the car it say I charge $2.00 for pick-up and $2.50 per mile. For you, pick up free, $2.00 per mile." Now, I don't think he actually gave me any sort of discount or special treatment but I appreciated the illusion. On the freeway miles and miles of it were closed down. Luckily, traffic was light but the right-most lane was shut down for a stretch of fifteen miles. I didn't think much of it but my driver was like, "All this shit is closed down and you have two fucking workers on the road, that's it. What the fuck are two guys going to do?" He took cash only, but when looking for an ATM he turned off the meter and rounded my fare down. He rounded it from $27.50 to $25 which is appreciated. He also offered me a cigarette which I appreciated.

I hired this service through a Groupon and was subjected to additional charges. The Groupon was…read more$39.00 for a one-way airport trip. Upon setting up the trip I was informed that the mandatory gratuity and fees brought the actual price to $60.00. On the trip to the airport I realized I'd left my eye glasses at home. The driver, who I later learned was the owner, offered to take me back to my house to get them. I asked twice if he was sure and he said that it was not problem and "he had plenty of time because his next pick up wasn't until 10:30". He did return to my house, we got my glasses, and got to the airport on time. I was very grateful and gave him an additional $20 tip at the airport. Let me be very clear - at no time did he tell me that there could be additional charges, and he took the gratuity and thanked me for my business. The next day, while on vacation, I received an email stating that the return trip was subject to additional charges and that they would "only charge me the discounted rate of $39.00". I refused to pay and was very clear that additional charges were never mentioned. The only response I received was that "it was in their terms and conditions".... as if I had those handy in their car at the time. What I did have at my disposal was the owner, who made the offer and never mentioned additional charges. About a month later I received a letter from the owner trying to explain why he didn't mention charges. His only explanation was that "he didn't know how I was acquired as a customer (meaning Groupon) so he wasn't aware of the cost involved". He went on to threaten to send me to collections if I didn't pay the additional money. I have used professional car services for both business and personal needs for over 15 years and have never been treated so poorly. I would highly recommend you consider other car or limo services rather than take the risk of encountering the same mistreatment I received from this company and its owner.
