This is the coolest store! You can't beat these rock and mineral prices anywhere. I love how there's always something new when I go in. The sterling silver rings are gorgeous and there's so many kinds of tarot cards. The vibes are also great - everyone who works there is so nice and fun. read more

Great selection of rocks and gems. Cashier was very friendly and taught me some more about what I was buying.

Black Cat is by far the best and favorite store of its kind anyway in Lake County. Some stores are birds of a feather when it comes to horsing around with prices and selections, but I have always had excellent experiences at Black Cat, both with the variety in items, from rocks to crystals to jewelry, books, incense, apparel, accessories - you name it - and the Service! The staff is always super friendly, like you've been a regular even if it's your first time in, and I gotta say: even the overhead Music is great! I've had some really great conversations with the employees, particularly Tim, who is just an all out "Nice Guy", and everyone is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and "Customer Service Friendly" - which is a rarity these days. If you're looking for a Magical Experience, drop into Black Cat Minerals. ...You will walk out of the shoppe feeling purrrrrrfect! ‍ read more

Shop looks beautiful and eye catching but, I bought 2 rings from this shop and with-in the span of 2 weeks both rings shattered, or split. The rings weren't expensive but was told that the quality is very well. I hope I either can replace the rings or get a refund. read more

Jay is very knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of different things and fairly priced. nice to shop with a friendly person.

Amazing service, great energy, amazing variety in selections, reasonable prices. Totally welcoming shop for any practices! :)

My favorite store! The manager Ryan and the others at Black Cat are just so knowledgeable and friendly. Sometimes I just stop in because I love looking at all the new crystals and rocks and this store is my "Happy Place". The manager does a great job of providing new selections and they are always willing to talk to you about specific pieces. Black Cat Minerals staff - you all are the best! read more

Black Cat Minerals - Malachite-Chrysocolla-Azurite - Gemstones & Minerals Near Me - Gurnee, Illinois

Like the store in the selection but the older man that works there is the most rude person ever. Refused to help me find what I needed and was gossiping and saying bad things about other employees and bad things about the owner of the store. We'll never shop there again. Most unprofessional workers ever. Customer service was horrible. read more

This store is crazily overpriced- all of the stuff is low quality too. Most of the products look like they were purchased from a foreign country and upcharged tremendously. The store owner vapes openly which I don't care if you do but at least have the decency to go to the back... like subjecting everybody to your secondhand smoke while trying to sell your shitty products is wild. read more

This place is awesome love the vibes in there the cashier was very nice. there was a nice selection on crystals and u found what I wanted!

I really like this place; in my humble opinion they're the only store in the entire mall that sells something worth a damn-- crystals and minerals! It's a smallish selection, but there's a wide variety. Tumbled, raw, in jewelry form, large, small... there are options. They have beads as well. Look in the cases for the higher-level objects like orgonite, rarer crystals and magickal implements. read more

Such a treat to have a spirituality store close to home. Cost effective candles, incense, minerals and paraphernalia.

This place has all the stones. Big, small, bracelets, necklaces. It has something at every price point and size. There is smudging stuff too if you are into the practice. Great staff, too! read more

I had not been here in awhile and was glad to see new items. I had a few questions and the gentleman at the counter was happy to share his knowledge. The store was neat and I checked out quickly with fragile items carefully wrapped. I'll be back. read more

Neat little place that sells all kinds of things. I came here to buy sage and at first it looked like the cashier didn't want to help. I asked him if he could and he was more then happy too. He even told me about rocks that mean different things. Wish it was not in Gurnee Mills but it is so will make the best of it. read more

Black Cat Minerals - They Sell This ... Love It - Gemstones & Minerals Near Me - Gurnee, Illinois

This place is terrible. I went in there and this middle aged man attended me and he was a jerk. He had an attitude and would always rush me. I recently went in after the man said i could return a bracelet when it broke, i went in and told them he said i could return it. This time it was a morbidly obese woman who also had an attitude. She said "i dont care what he told you, im telling you no." I no longer shop in this terrible store. read more

Love this store,so happy I discovered it.I always got good help here. Absolutely love all of there goodies.

This is a great shop! Really unique items. Perfect if you are looking for gifts! The person that helped us was very informative. Will definitely come back regularly to see what is new. read more

I stopped in to do some Christmas shopping today. Nice selection of unusual gifts. But one star due to an extremely rude clerk. Wish I got her name as there were two people working in the store today. I will not be going back there again for quite some time, if ever. You would think that with the holidays upon us, store managers would be training employees to be polite. Merry Christmas one and all. read more
