With the large open windows up front, the store has plenty of natural lighting, which gives it a cozy feeling. They sell a selection of soaps, spices, cups, bags, jewelry, towels, and a good variety of little knickknacks. They have these books that are made up to look like old leather bound tomes with cloth like paper that I thought was pretty neat. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of but didn't hound us while we shopped. My only comment is some items were a tad bit pricey, but that's pretty standard for the unique products that they sell. It definitely did not feel touristy, as some gift shops do, so that was very nice. Overall, if you're looking for something unique, rustic, or something with an Antioch Illinois flair, then Vintage Mercantile is a great place to stop in if you're in the area. I would definitely recommend it!

It was a terrific first visit and I haven't gone anywhere else since. Their line of juice is top-notch. They've got the nic level, the size, the VG/PG ratio, flavor and the price you're looking for. Their prices are competitive and they carry a wide selection of the newest products. Most importantly, in my opinion, it is a businesses bedside manner that truly counts and outweighs all the other criteria when judging the first-time visit anywhere. They've been nothing but friendly and helpful every time I come in. I've had to return some products due to manufacturer defects and it's never been a problem. I can't recommend this place enough. P.S. They used to sell glass, but soon after they moved in the town banned selling glass. Since the legalization of marijuana, they've began bringing glass back into the store. Last, they have a second store called Groovy Clouds. It's 4 minutes North just over the Illinois/Wisconsin border. That place is more for glass. If you're looking to smoke that legal flower and are in need of something to smoke out of...Groovy Clouds is your place. The look inside is really unique and I look forward to every business.

Always wanted to go strawberry picking, but every year we miss the picking window…read more This year we finally went. Chose Stade's based on reviews, availability and location. It was great and would definitely go again! Pricing is fair. They require a $7 minimum per person. It wasn't a problem for us because we chose (2) 4 quart buckets. As of June 2026, 1 qt was $7, 2 qt $14 and 4 qt was $20. I feel their pricing is fair esp given the price of berries recently. They provide the buckets that you keep. You can either take a trolley, train (extra charge) or walk. The field wasn't too far about 10-15 min. We opted to walk both ways. The strawberry fields were pretty big. I highly recommend coming early in the day because it gets busy and the earlier you come, the bigger the berries. They stagger their plantings so it stretches the season longer. They also have lettuce, radishes, cilantro, raspberries and sugar snap peas this weekend. Everything except sugar snap peas were a separate charge. All of their pricing is on their website and their Facebook page has their availability for the day. Strollers and wagons are welcome, but no dogs. The market is worth checking out. They had meats, pies, gifts, donuts, drinks and some produce. I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade slushy. It was refreshing after a couple of hours in the sun. The strawberry donut was tasty, too. It was moist and tender and not terribly sweet. Will definitely be back next year for more strawberry picking. We may comeback for other pickings later this year.

They offer so many other fruits and vegetables to pick from too, so there's always something new to enjoy each season! The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are very reasonable considering how fresh and high-quality the produce is. Everything we picked tasted incredible - you can tell it's straight from the farm. We've made it a tradition to go every year, and it never disappoints. It's a wholesome, fun outing that's 100% worth it!

I also love that the tulips were planted in the shape of a butterfly this year, but wish there was some way to see it from above. :( For $20 you get access to their tulip field and one u-pick tulip is included. You can purchase more tulips for $2 each if you want to pick more. Dogs are also allowed and are free to enter, but if your dog is prone to chewing on/eating flowers, maybe leave your dog home (tulips are toxic for dogs, mostly the bulbs which are underground). There are a few food trucks and lawn games to play as well. We tried the blended java chip coffee and kettle corn. The kettle corn was really good. We only spent about an hour here because there's not much else to really do.

I like to sign up for unique 5K courses, so I was super excited for this one. At 6am during the day of the 5K, I got a sad email saying the course has switched to the farm course for everyone who signed up for the corn maze course due to the corn maze being muddy and unsafe or something. But at least the 5K was still happened. The farm course was meh. It was muddy as well but at least it was wide dirt roads. For anyone considering going in the future, I suggest definitely going for the corn maze course instead because I imagine the farm course is meh even when it's dry. The gift shop was open for runners super early to shelter and grab some snacks, souvenirs, and bathroom breaks. The apple cider donuts are great, but only comes in half dozen.

There was no one in the reception area when we arrived so we were just browsing their pretty inventory. Then finally two older ladies came out of the back area- I announced my presence with a "hello" since I was browsing their aisles of flowers and tropical plants and did not want to startle them. They were both not very friendly and I immediately felt uncomfortable like I was interrupting them. I proceeded to ask her about bushes and one of the women acted like she didn't understand a word that I said while the other one just completely walked away. (I am a GenX Japanese American north side Chicagoan and my partner is a biracial black and white north side Chicagoan as well) she was extremely snotty and rude to me like she didn't understand what I was asking her so I took her outside to speak with my partner because I was already visibly upset-so then I asked her "are you Mary? " she's like "No Mary is inside." So Mary was the other rude lady peeking out the door. I'm like thanks but no thanks. Let's go. I asked my partner in the car if it was just me and he said "no these women are rude." So as a small business minority woman myself-who runs her own small business in the city of Chicago - I WILL NEVER GO BACK there it's was not a pleasant experience shop there at your own risk.

This is my first visit to Mary's and they've got some great flowers here! Lots of options I haven't seen shopping around the last few years at other places. We got some begonias that are stunning and holding up fantastic so far. We picked up a tropical bush as well, which Mary herself did advise me would likely not survive the winter. She did give me some advice on how to winterize it if I want to try and bring it inside, she seems knowledgeable and it's pretty cool that she offers plants like these. I always grab some veggies and herbs as well and she delivered on that with a few different herbs I'm excited to try. Boxwood basil is new to me but that's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for. I do wish she had more variety of veggies available, I might have missed the boat on that. I did get a nice heirloom tomato plant, she had these in a back lot. It's a bit hard to get navigate back there and it's not a flat path so be prepared. To sum up, this is a smaller operation than some local competitors but that plant enthusiast charm goes a long way. I'd definitely recommend it for flowers, they've also got lots of cute outdoor decorations. It's a great spot to find something unique too! It COULD use some layout improvements and I found some things unlabeled as I was perusing. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out for either a seasoned gardener or a first timer!

Prices are up this year but that's true for everywhere and I didn't find anything to be outrageously expensive. Another name for the stone is cupids dart, which I love, because it looks like copper needles or darts are moving through out the crystal. The store was really inviting, the walls are colorful and there are neat lamps like lava lamps and plasma lamps throughout the store. There are toys all over the place and the manager encouraged us to play with the toys, which was great because I was able to see what my son liked before I bought anything. They had really cool toys some were new but some reminded me of the ones I had when I was little so I thought that was neat. . There were some different wind up toys, dolls for girls, and puppets but there were also science kits, and a few alternatives to Legos. They carried stuff that my husband and I would love to have as well, which means when I go there he can look at stuff and I can shop for the boys, a win-win situation. They have various desk toys (like bobbleheads) and "critical thinking" tools. The best of which was an item called Buckyballs, which I bought for my husband and he loves. I have since gone back in and brought my boys with me, they have played with silly hats, and the light up glasses which of course they begged me to buy. Its worth the trip to Libertyville just to shop there! I can't wait to go back in next time as their merchandise is always changing.

I brought my Giannis Antetokounmpo signed jersey and photo to be framed as a Christmas present. Instead of admitting this is not their speciality or area of expertise they performed the framing and ruined these pieces. The most disappointing part of this experience is that they ruined the signed photo. This signed photo, which is valued at $100+, was glued to a piece of mat board in Hobby Lobby quality work and was mounted touching the glass. This caused the film of the picture of wear off and distort the image leaving it worthless and unable to be reframed or used. I would expect that a professional framing company would have the know how of how to properly protect a signed picture. The jersey was also done in a quick, sloppy manner. In less than one year, the jersey had wrinkled and was coming loose from the mat board to which it was attached. After less than a year of looking at what was supposed to be an amazing sports collector piece we had to have the jersey reframed, losing out on the money spent at DeBerge's to frame originally ($400), as well as a treasured photo. In conclusion, I will never recommend this framing establishment to anyone. This all could have been prevented with a little honesty upfront from DeBerge's.
