Plenty of snack items, pre-made foods, cereals, eggs, milk, meats, cheese, frozen foods, ice cream, water, juice, spices, coffee, etc. It's all here. I personally am not a fan of their brand of bread products - a bit dry, but their chocolate and ice cream - good stuff. I also like their seasonal buys. In winter it may be a blanket, stuffed animal or space heater. in summer it could be a fire pit, lantern or sprinkler toy. What ever it is, when it's gone, it's gone and you probably won't see it again, so check the flyer. The prices at Aldi are usually good. I always try to be aware of what an item generally costs, so I know if I'm getting a good deal. Store brand items are less money, but they also have national brands too. Some of the store brand items, like cheeses and jaffa cakes, are very tasty. Don't be afraid to try them. The Aldi's near me requires you put a quarter in the grocery cart to 'unlock' it. I keep a quarter in my car for this purpose. When you return the cart you get the same quarter back. It's all about saving you money, and if they are not paying someone to gather your carts from the parking lot, that means their overhead is less, and your costs are less. There are also no baggers, and no bags. You can purchase bags from the cashier if you'd like or bring your own. S/he will scan your groceries, and put them back into your cart. Once you pay, there is a shelf along the back wall where you can bag your own groceries, or just dump them into your trunk. Whatever. This may all seem very strange but these small differences are what allows the store the keep prices low. I haven't seen a 'self check out' at any Aldi's I've been to, and didn't notice if this one has one, but I don't think they offer this option. There are usually a couple of workers on the floor if you need help finding something. The store is well lit and clean, aisles are very wide and clearly labled. If you have't stopped in, give it a look. I recommend trying the ice cream.

Clarion River Organics is a group of about a dozen or so family-owned and -operated farms. Some of…read morethe farms are Amish, and all of their foods are organic. I purchased two organic round steaks from this cooperative business. The cattle were 100% grass-fed and given no hormones or antibiotics. The steaks were a good weight at 0.6 and 0.87 ounces, respectively. The steaks, though, were thin, and many grooves had been cut into the meat. The steaks tasted OK, but I would want them to be thicker and to have a different texture. According to Clarion River Organics's website, they sell many other products mostly from May to December. Most of these other products are vegetables and fruits. I will keep an eye out for these other products next season when the weather gets warmer and more produce is in stock.

You guys, do not sleep on this producer. Now I've never purchased local honey before (wow, was I missing out) and had a ton of questions for the owner, Jeff Berta. He spoke passionately and knowledgably about each honey and the subtle nuances in their respective flavor profiles. After a little discussion about what I'd be using it for and which ones would harmonize best with my needs, I purchased the "Raw Pennsylvania Honey: Fall Goldenrod" 1 lb. bottle. The bottle itself is a neat little glass container that showcases the honey's natural color perfectly (see photo.) Jeff recommended taking a whiff of the honey once I opened it, and boy, this stuff is the epitome of liquid gold. I can honestly say that after tasting it, I feel like I've never had REAL honey before. This place is a definite yes in my book and I absolutely will be back. Being able to pick up my (large) bakery order and not leaving someone disappointed at home makes me happy. Had my list of must haves. I meandered through all the departments. Wasn't on a time schedule. I spent 2 hours in the store. Found beautiful baby lamb chops. Filets were $6/lb cheaper than my grocery store. Bought beautiful endive. Had to bring home the red wine peppered salami. Coming home, opening the cooler, and handing out foodie presents is like Christmas morning. The oohs and aahs were heard at multiple houses. The staff were very helpful finding my treasures. Wegmans trips make traveling for business worth it.

They've got all the good stuff: produce, recycled paper products, soy meat, tofu, gluten free chips, organic food, and they even have a small bulk section. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the store is always clean and bright. All of this--and they're located right off the 5-Star trail. I can totally ride my bike to get groceries.
