Scotty's donuts are Amazing!!!! Scotty's donuts are the real deal!!!! Freshest donuts in town!!!!

I saw a video on insta about them and so I was driving thru and had to stop. I got a their bakers dozen and some of the last donuts of the day. It's a donut shop so yeah the best part of ambiance is the donut smell! Friendly helpful service. They would give our local donut shop a run for their money! It's donuts! read more

We were recently in town for the weekend, and Scotty's Donuts were highly recommended. We stopped in and picked up a dozen donuts, and they were very fresh and so delicious. Make sure you go early because their donuts do go quickly. Highly recommend! read more

best donuts I've ever had. the service is always so good never had a bad experience. if I could give it more stars I would

My first time visiting Scotty's the selection was very limited as it was the end of the day. My sister was ordering and I was next in line however a staff member skipped over me (she assumed my sister and I were ordering together)and started waiting on the group behind me and of course we both wanted the last sprinkled donut! The group behind me had children so how could I possibly take that donut lol. My suggestion is that in the future don't assume a group is ordering together simply ask who's next when 2 staff members are waiting on customers. I can't rate the donuts in this review as I ended up not ordering any because I was just a little frustrated with the situation and felt it best to just step outside to calm down. read more

Stopped in a way through and loved them! Will definitely be stopping through again. Doughnuts were light and fluffy and just down right delicious. read more

Ya gotta get there early or they will be gone! Worth getting out of bed early for. Nuf said.

These are some very tasty treats! We selected a variety of both cake and yeast donuts. First try was the blueberry. This is a cake style and it tastes exactly like a fresh blueberry. I actually hesitated to choose this one, but now I am so very glad I did! It was wonderful. The chocolate on the Angel Cream and Boston Cream was tasty without being over sweet. The yeast dough is so light and fluffy. Both are very satisfying. The vanilla cream in the Angel Cream donut is quite sweet, almost like a frosting The Boston cream custard was nicely done. Not over sweet, nice and smooth. Many of the donuts we selected have a sugar glaze that compliments the donut. The donut itself is not too sweet, and the sugar glaze adds just enough sweetness to make for an enjoyable treat. There is a small parking area behind the shop. Eating-in is no longer an option and the dining room has been turned into a storage area. There are bottled beverages in a cooler, and hot coffee is available. Cream & sugar on a table to add yourself. I would definitely stop by for more donuts from Scotty's when in this area. These are very tasty, light and fluffy donuts. read more

I worked with people from DuBois and they'd bring these donuts to the office on special occasssions. The office would go crazy and they would be gone in a flash. So now whenever we are nearby DuBois we stop at Scotty's. This place is a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover. This place is locally owned and operated for the last 30 years. It's located in the middle of town and operates out of the bottom of a house. The place has been ran hard, is worn down and it sees a lot of foot traffic. It's takeout only since covid hit and once they're gone they close for the day. The donuts here are so delicious. They have a wide assortment and I highly recommend the "giant" creme filled. You won't be dissapointed! read more

I was in town visiting a friend and he suggested we get donuts. He was really talking these peanut butter cream donuts up and I wasn't going to get excited about them. I'm from Buffalo where we have Paula's Donuts. And they are a pretty big deal. Everyone has their hometown favorites and biases. I went in with bias, but came out on the other side with a new attitude and a new favorite donut place. I tried the chocolate iced peanut butter cream donut. It was a game changer. I liked the cream to donut ratio. I also tried the powder sugar with peanut butter cream and it was very delicious. You have to get there to try this peanut butter cream filled donut. Outstanding. If you are in the area, definitely stop there and try these delicious donuts. They are definitely worth stopping for. read more

Not much more to say other than, really good doughnuts. We enjoyed a dozen while on vacation in the area. Friendly staff picked a great mix for us. read more

I'd give it zero stars if I could. We drove there. I walked in and waited patiently while a man finished his order. An older woman walked in after me, pushed past me and leaned on the counter. The girl working then started to take the older woman's order after I'd been waiting. I politely said "excuse me, can I order?" Three times I repeated it as she acted like I wasn't even there and let the rude woman who'd pushed past me order. The donuts aren't that great. And definitely not worth being treated so rudely. I'll never give them any of my money again read more

Very disappointed with this service. Came in at 10:30 no donuts and coffee. Employee was very rude and not apologetic. I will not be going back. read more

We were traveling to Philly from OH and we stayed in DuBois. I read some reviews and said the donuts were delicious. The reviews were NOT wrong. When their hours are 5:30am-when sold out, you know they'll be amazing. We got a baker's 1/2 doz. The peanut butter filled, crème filled, and glazed were amazing. The person working was super friendly and very helpful + her Mom went to THE Ohio State University. You can also pick out a matchbox car for $1, who wouldn't like that! Great donuts read more

One of the best doughnut places in Pennsylvania. I may be biased due to growing up in this town, but not much beats this place. And j have even enjoys the tasty breakfast pastry around the world. You Cann go wrong here. They have a variety of different kinds of donuts anyone would enjoy. From cake and yeast to apple fritters and bear claws. Always delicious. Never disappoints. I don't even care for peanut butter and their peanut butter donuts reign supreme. You will not be disappointed read more

The best donuts in town. Not much to say about them, except they're excellent and I love them.

Donuts are outstanding.....but I miss being able to sit at the counter or table and enjoy them.

Hands down the best donuts in the area- if you love the soft dough of a fresh dughnut or the perfect glaze of a Krispy creme, look no further- scotty's has them all beat, they've been around forever and have nearly perfected the art of donuts. Can't go wrong with glazed but they've some other absolutely stellar options. read more

Best fresh donuts, hands down! Only open until sold out and do t wait to get them later, may not be any later. Great variety, super fresh and high quality. read more

I don't typically care for donuts, but I cannot turn down a Scotty's glazed donut! They melt in your mouth! Get there early or they will sell out fast! We are so fortunate to have this amazing place in our area! read more

Sinful & deliciously sweet donuts. I don't often splurge on donuts, but this place appeared to be popular with the locals, so we had to patronize. We could smell the sweet dough from the parking lot, extra points for that alone. The sweet treats offered did not disappoint; my donut was pillowy soft and indulgently sweet. We stopped by in the afternoon and most of the donuts were already gone. Therefore, do as the other reviewer suggests and stop by early for the best selection. read more

Delicious beyond delicious. Most of their donuts have peanut butter . If you have allergies to peanut butter beware ... prices are very affordable. They even offer a bakers for a half dozen. They sell out quickly so you may want to come early or get slim pickings. Staff will help you decide. You can order ahead if you desire and pick up when your ready . Some room to sit and eat in they even have a tv for some viewing. Worth the stop. Great taste and fair prices. read more

I like sweets but it was too sweet. The service was great. The guy was so nice and quick. Had no problems at all. Made us feel welcome. I recommend this place. read more

Donuts are donuts for the most part. These are really good don't get me wrong. The thing that puts them over the top is that you can taste they are super fresh and the people there are so very nice. One star off for the price $12 a dozen, but I suppose prices are up everywhere. read more

The best donuts in DuBois! I'm so glad to be back and able to have this donut shop back in my life.

Every few years we road-trip from Buffalo down to the DuBois / Punxy area for a winter family getaway. This trip was our second time stopping at Scotty's, and I've been looking forward to it ever since our first visit. These homemade donuts are AMAZING. To put it in perspective for the Buffalo crowd, I love Paula's and Donut Kraze, but Scotty's has them both beat. For realz! I think it is a matter of Scotty's literally being one guy from a literal line of Scottys who have been making these phenomenal donuts for so long in just this one spot, that they have evolved to utter perfection. All of the flavors we've tried here are excellent, but Scotty's is known for their peanut butter offerings. And I'm a peanut butter NUT. ;-) And they do it SO. EXCEPTIONALLY. WELL. HERE! The peanut butter cream donut is filled with a perfectly flavored and textured PB cream, it's point-blank heavenly. The whole donut is glazed, then topped with a sublime peanut butter icing. It is a PB lovers paradise. My whole fam' was pleased with their picks, every donut is delicious here. The shop itself is adorbs too. Its vintage charm is entirely authentic. It hasn't changed since the last time we were in, and hasn't changed for years before that. It is real retro comfort, with booths and a couple counter spaces to belly up with the locals and enjoy some sweets. It's old-school here, right down to no website, and I dig it! They also sell some gifts and toys, including $10 Scotty's tees. Our kids will proudly be rockin' new tees at school, reppin' Scotty's in the 716. ;-) One important tip--get here early if possible, as flavors can sell out! As I write this review, we're home now, but somehow a three hour drive down, six round trip, doesn't seem that long or unreasonable for me to head down for some more Scotty's donuts before work tomorrow. They open daily around 5am, so I should be able to make those logistics happen, right??? :-D read more

The best donuts! No mini cakes, not fluff cakes, straight up Donuts! Scotty starts baking at 3AM and when they run out the put the sign out No more donuts. They have numerous choices. We bought Scotties tee shirts for the grandkids for Christmas and they loved them because they all love Scottys. They also sell matchbox cars starting at a $1. All the grands pick one out as a tradition. They always sell a baker's dozen of donuts. I highly recommend Scottys!! read more

Top notch privately owned donut shop! Great donuts, service and prices, best of all is their coffee!

I recently picked up some donuts at Scotty's Donuts while visiting family in Du Bois. They all raved at how good they were. I have to agree they were pretty tasty! I'll be back for more during my next trip to Du Bois. read more

Been the best place to get donuts since I was just a boy! Would recommend this place highly to anyone!

I am a sucker for small town donut shops. This one is located in DuBois in a very cute part of town. We had a half dozen donuts and a large tea which totaled 6 bucks. Amazing. All were great, particularly the coffee roll and the maple donuts. The world needs more local donut joints and less Dunkin' Donuts. read more
