They did remove the branches--and maybe one more than expected--but overall, the work itself was fine, and they cleaned up the debris. That said, the customer experience left a lot to be desired. Communication was lacking throughout, except when they repeatedly followed up for the deposit. They didn't tell us in advance that our driveway and front street needed to be clear for their truck, so my partner had to rush home from work to move the car. After the job, no photos were shared, and when I asked about the price and 3% credit card fee, they pointed to the contract. Fair enough--but it would've been helpful if they had mentioned that upfront. I offered to send cash or a check to avoid the surcharge, but they said credit card is now the only accepted method. Between the lack of communication and inflexibility, I wouldn't recommend them based on customer service alone. Hopefully the residue left on our vinyl fence comes off with a hose.

Two days later someone from Timberline called to make an appointment and told me the estimate costs $200. I told him that is not what the website or the person who answered the phone said. He told me the estimate is free only if we cut down the tree. That is not what is written. How can you trust a place that has false advertisement and lies before you use them . Every other arborist I call give legitimate free estimates.

I left a message to ask for an estimate to be given to have some big…read moreoak trees removed after Hurricane Sandy (or Superstorm Sandy, or whatever they're calling it) blew them over onto my roof. This was right at the heaviest time after the storm, when everyone's power was still out, there were trees blocking all the roads ... I must have called at least 20 different arborists and left messages for all of them. I got a call back from a scheduler in the office before long, and Bob Wilson came out to look at my property and give me an estimate later that same day. A very nice guy. He was able to schedule the crew to come out and do the work the very next morning. They showed up right when he said they would. The total bill came out to less than the estimated amount. I received a follow-up phone call the next day from someone in the office to make sure everything had been satisfactory, which it was. Later that next day, Bob himself dropped by unexpectedly in the middle of the nor'easter, snow blowing all over the place, to offer to give me a hand putting a tarp on the roof where the trees had crashed down on it.
