Black Bear Bread is a great bakery in the Grayton Beach area. They have excellent pastries, salads, and sandwiches. For breakfast, we had the almond croissant and got a few items for the road. We later ordered a to-go lunch of ham and cheese on baguette and a salad with goat cheese. The food was top notch and the bakery has exceptional covid-19 safety practices. All employees wear masks and customers entering the bakery are also required to wear face coverings. To go orders can be placed online and picked up in the taproom adjacent to the bakery space. There are a few outdoor tables for patio dining, but you can also take your food to nearby Grayton Beach State Park and enjoy it by the beach and/or lakeside. read more

This bakery cafe is super cute! Petite and all the guests were very courteous queuing up outside to provide social distancing. We bought a couple baked goods and ordered some sandwiches and bagels. The bread was fresh and delicious! My 8 year old proclaimed the bagel was better than 20 ice creams! Staff was friendly and helpful, all safely masked up. Great experience. Such a yummy spot for baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and coffee! The Bee Keeper Latte is my personal favorite. And the lemon blueberry scone is really good. The Key Lime Pie scone had just a light hint of key lime flavor but still good. The Benton's Bacon sandwich is good but could use a bit more bacon imo. read more

We stopped by on our way out of Florida and got there two minutes before closing (online it said they were open later, I'm not sure if I was looking at wrong or if it's incorrect online). Even though they had switch the sign to closed and were putting things up, they still let me order a coffee and what was left of a few pastries. The iced coffee was delicious and the bear claw was soooo good. We would stop by again and hopefully make it before closing so we can try more food. Super cute little shop. Great pastries and drinks. We had a cinnamon bun, muffin, and homemade pop-tart. All were excellent. Our drinks were tasty as well.

10/10 great coffee shop. They serve stumptown, have fun syrups like lavender, and have amazing homemade pastries - I wish places in Austin could be like this! My husband had the tuna sandwich that he loved. This is a good spot for morning coffee, working for a bit (but don't camp out there because it has probably 6 tables and you want to be respectful :)), or lunch with a friend. You can tell this place is a pillar of the community and the baristas that work there are knowledgeable and kind. A must visit for any coffee lover at 30A. :) Keep up the great work guys! read more

Over-rated. Coffee was mediocre. 15% gratuity immediately added to every bill and the tip option pops up while paying. Interesting to be forced to tip prior to receiving goods and service AND if you don't notice the little sign about automatic gratuity, your 10% tip becomes 25%. Nice scam. Indoor seating is limited and not bused so be prepared to wipe your own table and rub elbows with the table next to you. Don't think I'll be back. read more

Bad experience. Don't bother. Although the food is very good, this place is ABSURDLY SLOW to take your order. If you've ever seen the sloth that works DMV in Zootopia you know what I'm talking about. Only slower. You stand in a long line outside seemingly FOREVER with the sun beating down on you while one and only one (nice, everybody's nice to your face) person slowly takes each order as everybody waits and waits. Oh, and they make you download an app for pickup orders, and when you finally get through the lengthy process it says "we're not taking pickup orders at this time" Uggggg!!!! There are plenty of nearby restaurants that actually care to treat the customer better. This place really sparks of 'it's all about us and the customer can just deal frickin' with it'. read more

No one is serving you, yet expect a tip. The owner definitely shouldn't be allowed to continue doing this. $50 for 2 "medium" coffees, 2 pastries, and a bagel. BBB is so picturesque! The atmosphere is so cool and trendy. When you walk in you feel like you've stumbled upon a really sweet secret. They have delicious kougin amanns; the cold brew house coffee was so good and refreshing. We sat outside and they came and cleaned out tables and seats for us--overall great customer service!
