The star of the visit was the Morning Bun, absolutely delicious! We ordered two Morning Buns, two cappuccinos, two BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese) croissants, and a chocolate croissant to go. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the coffee. Our total came to about $75 for everything. I even tipped on top of the service fee they already added, out of habit! Incredibly long wait on a Saturday morning, but the quality of both the coffee beverages and the breakfast sandwiches arguably made the long wait worthwhile. There is very limited indoor seating, so just be mindful of that in the event of poor weather conditions while waiting in a long line to order. I was very disappointed with my experience at the Grayton Beach Black Bear Coffee location. I usually visit the Seaside location, which always seems much cleaner and has much friendlier employees, so this experience was especially surprising. The breakfast biscuit was hard and stale, and it had barely any egg or bacon on it. For the price, I expected much better quality. To make matters worse, there is a 15% service fee automatically added at both the Grayton Beach and Seaside locations, and then the payment screen still asks for an additional tip. That's just not right. Visitors are already paying premium prices to vacation in this area, and adding a mandatory service fee on top of high menu prices feels like taking advantage of customers. If you're going to add a mandatory fee, don't ask customers to tip even more. The biggest issue, however, was seeing small roaches around the water pitcher and napkins. That was completely unacceptable and immediately ruined my appetite. On top of all that, the employees at the Grayton Beach location were not friendly or welcoming. Between the poor food quality, surprise fees, cleanliness concerns, and lack of customer service, this location was overpriced and not worth the money. I'll continue visiting the Seaside location because it's consistently cleaner with friendlier staff, but I would not return to the Grayton Beach store or recommend it based on this experience. read more

This place was so good we went back multiple times during our trip to 30A. We initially came here for their sourdough loaf and it was great! They run out quick in the day so get there early. They also have specialty breads that are like a "flavor of the day" so you never know what you might find here. They also have tons of pastries and their coffee is good too. The second time we came we dined in, with their additional space across the courtyard and outdoor seating in the courtyard (this side has couches and tables), you never have to worry about finding a place to sit. Also, a lot of people get their orders to go. I got the ham and cheese baguette and it was great! The water is self serve and the staff is friendly. We'll be back! read more

Cinnamon roll was good but didn't get delivered with the rest of the food. I don't know if they forgot or gave our order to someone else or if cinnamon rolls take longer than everything else. Long line to get in was tolerable. Seating was available indoors and outdoors and inside in an attached space. Serving food for all but one guest was disappointing. I wasn't sure what it was going to be but happily surprised. Topped with a meringue and filled with key lime. The croissant itself was perfectly flaky. I was secretly hoping it was key lime flavored and drizzled with a powdered sugar dressing. The inside curd was a little rich for what I was in the mood for. Overall great stop. Check 'em out. Adorable place to stop for coffee and breakfast. There was a small line out the door shortly after they opened on Friday morning, so I can imagine the line grows as the morning goes on. I absolutely loved the coffee special: The Tan Line, which was an almond milk latte with mocha. I also had the banana sourdough toast, which was great. It had a nice spice and great crunch from the pecans, and the sourdough was the best part. My family and I went here for breakfast. When we first came there was a line out the door which was fine, do we waited. It was busy inside with lots of loud noise from all the people. This place is fantastic!! We went there twice on our vacation and we enjoyed both of our visits. I especially recommend the breakfast sandwiches--I got the Paris on a biscuit, my husband got it on a bagel--both were perfect. I really appreciated that the egg was nice and jammy/ a little runny and fresh. My absolute favorite from our trips there, though, was the lemon poppyseed muffin. I always tease my husband that he is an old man because he tends to order things like that which seem more old-fashioned to me. That muffin makes a convert of me, though. The lemon is so freshly tart, and every single bite of the pastry is just as soft and moist as the last.
