Cute shop with a very nice cashier. The parking situation was kind of a pain but once we figured that out we were excited about all the different donut flavors they offered. Amazing donuts!! They are fluffy, airy, not super sweet and just perfect. My personal favorite was the cinnamon sugar one, but the chocolate one was definitely a close second. My husband and I love going to a local donut shop whenever we are in a new state. We chose this one for South Carolina, and these donuts are HUGE! They have so many different flavors. I got the cereal milk which has fruity pebbles on it. That just brought me back to my childhood of having that cereal. My husband got the original which was delicious! You know a donut shop is good based on their original donut. There was only one person working. She made all the drinks and I give it to her for how quickly she cranked out those drinks. It was so unique and delicious, I recommend trying it if you stop by! The donuts were also good, however, they were sold out of most of them when we got there. I would say go early if you have a specific donut you want to try in mind. Also the donuts are quite heavy, not like traditional donuts. They are still good nonetheless. This is the cutest little donut shop. It's cozy, aesthetically pleasing, and has adorable plants and plant pots for sale. While I'm not vegan, I do appreciate that they have vegan donuts. I will say, they are not my favorite as I find they lack flavor. However, there are PLENTY of options for each individual's taste buds. I've become particularly fond of their rotating donuts - the pictured blackberry lime donut is my favorite. I wish they had it all the time but I'm thankful they do not. The oatmeal cream pie is a close second. What I appreciate the most about these donuts is the texture. Their square donuts are somehow fluffy but slightly dense at the same time. I typically don't care for fluffy donuts (I know, I'm weird). I don't want it to melt in my mouth, I want to chew while enjoying the mix of textures between the donut and toppings. Bked delivers. Bked's coffee selection is solid, and every coffee option I've had has been delicious, but not in a "is this coffee or a milkshake" kind of way. It's coffee, baby! The staff is very friendly and has great ideas for substitutions or delicious recommendations. While this is more of a 4.5 star review simply because of my opinion of their vegan donuts (and some non-vegan) need more oomph, more flavor. Regardless, highly, highly recommend. read more

We came across Bkedshop while trying to find a different business and stopped in to see what it was all about. First thing to note, not all donuts are created equally. lol While these donuts look like they may be yeast donuts, they are actually brioche donuts. Yes, you read that correctly...brioche. This definitely intrigued me more so we decided to get 1 each (basically because we wanted the same donuts...lol) and 1 to split. We got the Vanilla Bean, Brown Butter Apple Waffle and Maple Brown Sugar. These donuts are dense but not in a bad way, just an "I wasn't really expecting that" kind of way. lol The Vanilla Bean is good. Not overly sweet but at the same time not sweet enough. I felt like you had the sweetness just at the very beginning of the bite and then all you tasted was donut. This was the same for the Brown Butter Apple Waffle which bummed me out because I was really looking forward to this one. The Maple Brown Sugar donut has the most flavor and is hands down my favorite of the 3. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and the caramelized brown sugar on top is the perfect touch. While this is really more of a 3.5 star review, I bumped it to a 4. With that said, Iwould definitely return here and try some of the other flavors the next time we are in Charleston. read more

We got a half dozen donuts with Cookie Butter, Pumpkin Spice, Pecan Toffee Crunch, Apple Pie, Cereal Milk, and Autumn Nut Crunch (vegan). I really liked these donuts. My favorite flavors were the Apple Pie and Cereal Milk followed closely by Autumn Nut Crunch and Pecan Toffee Crunch. The Pumpkin Spice and Cookie Butter were not as flavorful as I would have wanted. They have quite a few vegan donuts and if you're not vegan, I couldn't even tell the difference between the two. We also got an Autumn Spice Chai Latte which was delicious. I like to treat the fire station downtown to sweets every so often and that week decided to go here but of how convenient it was to the station I was bringing them to. It was a little hard to find parking, didn't know I could park in that parking garage and there was no parking on the street and the lot is for musc ( which makes sense) but the never park over there so I did a few laps and then parked on mother garage. It ended up being free because I was so quick to get the donuts but just a heads up. BKedshop was sooo cute inside, the employee was sweet and helpful. I got chocolate sprinkles and regular and they were huge. I love the shape, they didn't have that many options when I got there but I had no problem with it. I want to go back and get my own. Decided to come try BKeDSHoP while on vacation in Charleston & looking for some local donuts. The workers were extremely friendly & welcoming. There were so many unique donuts I wanted to try - we went with the coffee cake donut, frosted animal cookie, and a strawberry pop tart. My favorite was the coffee cake- after ordering & while eating I heard the worker tell another guest that there are 6 vegan options & they are made separately from the other donuts as well. Instead of eggs they use applesauce. I also ordered the Cinnamon bun cold brew- great flavor & not too sweet but very refreshing on a hot day. The store is super cute- I would like to come back & try the French toast waffle & maybe some of the other unique options like orange cream. Overall worth checking this place out! read more

This is a cute place in nexton square. Its an expensive upscale donut and coffee shop. I did think the donuts are creative and tasty...but you do pay for it. There is not too many places to sit but most people take it to go. The service is counter service but they will take it out to you if you eat in thought. Got a sixer of craft donuts for 15 bucks plus tax. They are indeed crafty and have lots of flavors. The Boston Creme is large, but unfortunately the creme inside could only be found inside one half of the donut. It wasn't overly swee, which I really appreciated. The sprinkles on it were excellent. Unfortunately, the creme inside never made it to the other half. The chai creme donut that has the waffle imprint is basically a glazed donut, just so you know. I'd skip this one and wouldn't get it again. Try the red velvet I'd say. These donuts are good overall, but nothing blew my mind. I do have super high expectations as I've been to maybe the top rated craft donut joint in America out there in Portland, Oregon, called Blue Star donuts. That place, well yeah, it'll blow you away. Parallel parking available along one side of the street and then a crappy dirt parking lot across the street that's used for Charleston River Dogs games is also available (we had to park here).
