For the E9X M platform, BMW…read morecreated a M Performance exhaust made of Inconel, which was prone to cracking when paired with test pipes or catless x-pipes (this was rectified with V2 that has holes on the muffler to ease airflow. After learning about Humble Engineering on Bimmerpost, I reached out to Ryan, the owner. Many others have also experienced cracking and welders not accustomed to Inconel usually made matters worse by chasing the cracks and making a mess. Not the case with Ryan! We promptly scheduled a time. As I purchased a V2 of this said exhaust, the one with cracking was already off my car. That made our appointment simple. In ~20 minutes, Ryan welded the multiple cracks I had and tested his work to ensure no crack a have been missed and there'd be no air leakage. I was quickly able to sell the fixed exhaust on Bimmerpost. Thank you!! Throughout the process, Ryan explained to me the tools and materials he was using, as well as the process. They sell you with their showroom and they a large variety of materials for metal working but it's honestly not worth the wait, customer service, and price. They don't even price match. I had made a material list of what I needed and they were quoting me at $1,200 before tax and Pattons came in at $690. I even showed them proof and they refused to match the price. Anyway I placed the order at IMS for that single tube... I went to Patton got the rest of the material there (took only 20min to place the order and drive out with my material) and when I got back to IMS still waited another half hour to get single tube on my truck. The worst part is when the sales rep has you in hopes that the material is there only to have you wait 1 1/2 hrs and tell you they don't have it... they have to email their own guys to do a stock check. Idk why they can't just walk over themselves to check. First and last time here

The prices are terrible, a 2x2 was 64$, although Patton steel supply is a bit further it's it's only 34$ for a 2x2, if you could I would go to Pattons steel supply. After all the time wasted and absolutely terrible price we dropped our order and headed to Patton steel, our order went from 1200$ at industrial metal supply to about 750 at at Pattons.

I just utilized Rogers Welding, and had a fantastic experience. When he walked the property to…read moregive a quote, David (as in David Rogers, owner of the company) took note of issues, and he took his time to explain all of these to me, including some older repair work that was improperly done and needed to be fixed. He then worked up a flat cost quote, and explained to me that even if the job takes longer than he thinks, there won't be any additional charges. His price was fair compared to other vendors I had called for quotes. It was a big job. I have a large metal fence that's about 700 linear feet of iron wrought fence with several rusted out sections. David cut, replaced, and welded many sections and the job took a few days longer than he thought. He was a man of his word! Not only did he keep to the cost cap we agreed upon, but he was meticulously thorough. He did great work and you can tell that he takes a lot of pride in the quality of his work. He and his wife also helped me identify one of the top painters in the area! I'm sure I'll be calling David back one day to help with other projects, and I'm going to recommend him to any friends or family looking for a great welder.

I made an appointment with Zachary to better secure my RV gate which had blown open during the last…read morebig winds. He had a cancellation so he was able to come out right away. He installed an additional drop down bolt for the gate where there wasn't one and welded an extra piece of metal at the deadbolt latch so the catch was deeper. He sealed and painted it to match the gate and did a beautiful job. He was going to install an additional latch but said he thought what i had was sufficient so he took that charge from his original estimate. I thought he was very fair and honest and i appreciated his expertise in letting me know i didnt need the extra latch. I highly recommend him and his work. I am keeping his number for next time something comes up with my gates!
