We were craving for some good Indian food and were around that area . We never tried this place…read morebefore so wanted to give a shot . Although we were not able to dine in and could only do a takeout but was really impressed by the whole ambience and setup . Would really come back when everything is normal again . Food - we ordered veg hakka noodles , gobi Manchurian and chat papri . All the food items were really delicious and freshly made . I particularly loved the chat papri . Although i felt that if there would have been more whisked curd , it would have been more delicious. The noodles and Manchurian were appropriate and cooked nicely with fresh ingredients. The packaging was good and all the safety precautions were taken care of . Highly recommend to everyone.

It was with this in mind that I decided on the chicken fried rice, with a side of chili chicken. The addition of plenty of green onions perfumed the rice and provided an extra bit of texture with the crunch. I did feel it could have done with an additional sprinkling or two of salt. I generally do not like bell peppers, but the addition of them in the chili chicken dish was not entirely off putting as they were not raw. The dish came with a nicely seasoned and spicy sauce, which was a good accompaniment to the fried rice. The gulab jamun (one piece per order) is bigger compared to what you'd normally expect when ordering this dessert at an Indian restaurant. Loved the addition of the crushed pistachios, which not only added a great contrast in texture, but also imparted its flavor into the syrup. Great, sweet ending to the meal.

The interior is beautiful and spacious, which is great for groups of all sizes. As someone who considers Indian food once of their favorite cuisines, coming here is like being a kid im a candy shop. All the curries have amazing flavor and just the right amount of spices, they make fresh naan & dosas to order, endless options of yogurts, chutneys, garnishes, fresh fruit/veg, and desserts. My favorite curries were the Kadai Paneer, Butter Butter Chicken, Malai Soya Chaap, and Palak Paneer. I've had their biryanis in the past as well and I do remember them being amazing just a little on the spicier side. When I go to buffets like this I typically focus on the proteins and freshly made breads. They have a large (if not the same quantity as the meat ones) variety for vegetarians as well. I like that some of the desserts they put up here are rotational and different from what you'd usually find at an a la carte or other indian buffets, like sweet white pumpkin and rose flavored rice pudding. They still have classics like gajar ka halwa, gulab jamun, and mango custard but it's always fun to try new stuff. I find that price is standard, if not slightly cheaper than other buffet formats like sushi, kbbq, hotpot, etc. and as someone who frequently enjoys eating solo I'd probably stick to coming around weekday lunchtime for a lower price. Service was deceng, I felt that my table was regularly kept clean but it took a while for me to get a water refill and more napkins. Overall I recommend Tandoori Flame, it's definitely a unique experience with what they offer & this is going to be one of my top spots for when I'm feeling a treat :)

There were no coat hooks or coat check....surprising for such a beautiful and upscale place. The coats crowded our seats. They were kind enough to accommodate my need for water with meals by leaving a kettle with water for me. They do not leave jugs but our server, Snow, replenished the water for others regularly.. she was friendly, helpful and funny. Since I need vegan and gluten free the only items I could have were the salad without feta, yellow dal without ghee and plain rice. The fam loved the Afghan chicken tikka and paneer item they ordered. My dal was made without ghee as requested but was on the spicy side. The fam shared the chocolate cake and rabri desserts but zero vegan/gluten free dessert items. The decor is lovely and everyone was very professional. The meal was very expensive....well over $400 for 1 alcohol drink, 2 mocktails, 3 apps, 3 mains with 2 rice, 2naan and 1 parantha and 2 desserts. Hopefully you get Snow as your server as she was a delight. There was no DJs or live entertainment the night we went but they do have it on certain nights. It got very busy while we were there with folks of all ages. You can bring your own cake but they charge $5pp to serve it.

I absolutely love this place. Normally, a place that has a massive menu is a bit concerning to me…read moreas it often leads to not really excelling at anything, but that is not the case here in my experience. The reason behind the large menu is related to the aim of the restaurant, which is to showcase the various regional cuisines of India. As a result, don't expect the straightforward menu of: apps, entrees, deserts, etc... rather the menu is divided by cuisine. Aside from honouring tradition, they do offer a couple 'new' takes on some items. If you comb through a few reviews, and certainly the pics, you'll notice a must-order items is the roasted eggplant with pomegranate. It really is like nothing else I've had before and unforgettable in both taste and texture. My group also went with a famous lamb dish as well. I don't remember the name offhand, but it is incredibly soft, well seasoned and nicely spiced dish. We also went with orders of naan, veggie dishes and meat skewers. It's beautifully decorated inside and also has the advantage of being located in a heritage building in what was formerly an estate home nearly 150 years old. It's truly a unique place and one people living in the area can be proud and of showcase to visitors.

I would like to thank Sheily who was so friendly and acted professionally when we did not like the cardamom chai as it has milk and did meet our expectations . She changed the chai with Earl Gray which was really tasty. The ambiance was nice and comfort. The chairs were comfortable and the employees were friendly.

This branch was glaringly different. Started off with telling us that our 6 year old needs to pay half bill (whereas in Houston the manager came over and said he can eat from my plate, honestly he eats max 2 chapatis) to having to call the waiters over mostly to get the different items. The food was similar at least. And they had fresh jalebis which we loved. When I asked for extra serving on the rice and dal khichdi it looked like the guy had a hard time believing it. Overall, not the Maharaja Bhog experienced etched in our minds for sure.
