While vacationing from Atlanta, GA we decided to go out our final night at the beach. I ordered a delicious Scotch cocktail and had the braised short ribs that were fantastic. My daughter ordered the filet mignon (medium rare) that came with a creamed turnip mash that we loved. My had their beet salad (not my fav food), but she loved it. The decor was romantic casual and the prices were in line with most nicer restaurants. I would definitely recommend. read more

Went for lunch, & nice atmosphere beautiful inside. Good just so so I had roasted beet salad & felt it needed more feta & walnuts. I don't even think it was a tablespoon but probably 3 cups of arugula. Hubby had the short rib flatbread & said was ok nothing special. We did not have wine, but they seem to have a large selection so maybe that's the draw. read more

My wife and I so enjoyed our meal on Sunday that we "double dipped" and dined again Monday with a larger group of seven. Our server Diana and the entire team took excellent care of us both nights and treated us like family. The food was phenomenal (all local organic ingredients) from our small plates like the empanadas, beet salad, nutty goat flatbread, five pepper shrimp, and whipped ricotta dip to our main courses such as crab spaghetti (in house pasta), wagyu burger, pepper crusted filet, short rib, and special of the day swordfish. Desserts just as good. We look forward to our next meal when we are back in town this Fall. read more

Wonderful atmosphere, super and personable staff and the food is simply outstanding. And oh by the way... this is no ordinary bar or mixologist! He specializes in old fashioned and historical drinks... if you're inclined, you need to try the French 75 and he infuses his own natural flavors into several different types of alchohol. Alright, let's get to the food... delicious! Had the Short Ribs with a pistachio cream sauce with home-made Gnocchi! So darn good! Also had the Mexican Street Corn that knocked our socks off! We went to Bitterroot due to the amazing yelp ratings and that they took reservations! Service was excellent. Breakdown of food: Arancini - superb Salmon Florentine - was ora king salmon wrapped in spinach. The salmon is baked, which is my least favorite preparation, but it was good overall (it was not my dish and my husband thought it was good). The lemon risotto was awesome. There was a mushroom and caramelized onion on top that was excellent. I could do without the roe. Swordfish special - it had Egyptian spices on the grilled fish. It was served over lentils. It was just okay. An interesting dish, but the fish was tougher, so it was harder to enjoy. Kids got cheese pizza, which was fine and a kid's cheeseburger. They don't have a printed menu, so you are ordering on an assumption that prices will be reasonable. The burger was pretty amazing, but $22, because my child wanted extra cheese. Just fyi to ask before you order. The server said it was the same burger they serve on the regular menu when we asked about pricing. read more

We had a late dinner on a Thursday night and had a great experience! We had the empanadas and they were AMAZING! We also got the filet and it was great too. I had the seasonal cocktail with house-made shrub and it was phenomenal. Service was great, everyone was attentive. The atmosphere was semi-formal but also laid back. We will definitely be back! My husband and I came in to celebrate Father's Day and have a date night. I made a reservation in advance. We were sat at a table next to a supply rack. It took our server a while to come over to greet us, and when she did, we asked her if we could move and explained that we weren't really happy with our table (mainly because date nights are rare for us and I wanted the experience to be nice for my husband. I felt like the supply rack kind of cheapened our experience). She basically told us that the other available tables were for parties with reservations and that we would need to make table requests when we make a reservation. The restaurant was only about 1/3-1/2 occupied at that time and there were several two tops available. She didn't put in any effort to even check if there might be another table elsewhere. The table right behind us was vacant. No offer for us to sit there. The couple that eventually sat there ended up getting up and sitting at the bar. Another staff member overheard the conversation and informed us which tables to request next time which was appreciated. The supply rack was right behind my husband. All throughout our dinner, staff was constantly accessing the rack, which is totally expected, but it was extremely distracting and my husband felt like someone was constantly standing over his shoulder. Service was ok, a little slow and impersonal. Food was good, but I felt for the price point, it fell a little short although I don't have anything specific to point out about it other than it was just "ok". Maybe our experience and table atmosphere affected our reception of the food, I don't know. Our cocktails were good and we ordered a bottle of wine that was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and the bar is very nice. Not sure we will go out of our way to make another dining room reservation, but may return to sit at the bar. read more

Let me just say, it's not often I get excited about coming back to a restaurant halfway through our meal. Everything was stellar!
