I expected to eat in a few of SF's best restaurants while I stayed in town. But I got sick and wasn't able to venture far from my hotel. Luckily, I was staying 2 doors down from Bite. I just bought The Gobbler without blue cheese and some of their rotisserie chicken hoping that the chicken wouldn't be dry but I should've stuck with the turkey. Their rotisserie chicken was very dry plus they charged me $2.50 more because I wanted chicken instead of turkey. I've tried a few sandwiches here and have been disappointed. Plus the lady at the register isn't friendly at all. She seems like she doesn't want to be there. No greeting at all. I will not be coming here again. The best late night sandwich in SF, possibly one of the top 3 anyways. The Gouda good is delicious, and perfectly made in the afternoon as well as just before closing. I love this place. Some of the sides are slightly lacking but the sandwiches and salads are perfect. A+. Only thing to point out is buyer beware of possible chicken bones. Few and far between but I've been here three times and got boned once. 33% isn't bad, but isn't good either. Regardless the sandwiches are so delicious I hate to be a stickler. It's worth your time to visit this late night eatery. Some sides are wonderful, cookies are bomb, some sides like the macaroni salad maybe go bad or get old and so maybe that's why it wasn't amazing but all else rocks! A friend recently told me about this place and I wanted to try it. So one day I found myself downtown and asked him to go with me. I ordered a chicken bacon avocado sandwich with cheddar. So I sat down for a bit and decided to walk in and watch him make it... The thing was huge! He whopped on a ton of bacon and the rest of the fix-ins. I grabbed it and couldn't wait to tear into it. My other favorite sandwich place in San Francisco. The Gouda Good is incredibly good. I lived a few blocks from this place and eat there 3-5 times a week. I've had the "Gotti" one time thinking it'd be as good as the Italian in Boy's Deli, but it wasn't. It doesn't matter, just get the Gouda Good and don't look back. You will eat now and forever hold your "piece"(your piece of the sandwich, that is), so help me God! By the way, thank you to my fellow Bite patrons who I occasionally (often) eavesdrop on for bringing The Skin into my regular rotation. I think they call it The Skin since after trying it once, you'll be willing to show some of your skin to get some of this sandwich that could only be the long-lost-twin of a fully-loaded baked potato somewhere that is sad because it never had the chance to be stuck between two slices of fresh-baked perfection like its lovingly toasted bro-wich was. I placed an order from Uber eats and when my food was delivered it was 1 sandwich 1 Diet Coke and some crappy potato salad, I ordered none of that I ordered 4 sandwiches and drinks the bag had my name on it but the 1 sandwich had the name mike on it which is not my name so I called them and explained, listen you made a mistake and put someone else's food in the wrong bag, can you please fix it and the lady was laughing and joking with her co worker's telling me there was no manager and they would re make the food but I had to go pick it up.
