This is an affordable and very good true bistro. Make sure you can interpret French, don't be an American and order aHamburger, their muscles were excellent. Excellent service I highly recommend the place, but step out just a little bit. Gosh I love the atmosphere, I wish we had more of this in the state.

The food was delicious and well presented! They thankfully had an English menu for us, but the specials are all in French. Fortunately, Google translate helped with that. We ate in the train car part and it was so cute!!! It was a bit warm but after pulling the shade down it was better. The server was very nice and helpful. We tried our best with French but our French was not good.... I would definitely go back for the food

I have a love of pizza; I was not disappointed. The American English background music was odd; it was 100% non-original & could be nice for an American, however the tempo and voice was a bit off with every song. Our two meals with "slightly off" music was a strange. Our breakfast buffet was perfect!

    Local Trappist beer...outstanding

Welcoming staff in this cozy café with a nice atmosphere…read more Be aware there are online menu's that have many things that are not actually available in the café. (example scrambled eggs) You can sit and have a chat over a warm beverage with a pastry or waffle. As expected seating is mostly set up for 2 people so large groups would not have an easy time to all be seated together. Price was average and the food was just fine. I felt this was more of a coffee shop with a few pastries and not really a place to go for "food" Definitely go check out if you are looking for some quiet "down time" Freundliches Personal in diesem gemütlichen Café mit schöner Atmosphäre.

It was ok, but when the door opened it got pretty chilly. The online menu did not match what was available in the location, but with how things are it makes sense they would limit. We were able to make it work and the cappuccino was made perfectly. Nice, clean quiet place to stop and enjoy some conversation with friends and family.

Very little space but the service and food will have you coming back. I walked in and some university students were having a debate. I take a seat in the corner and do a little ease dropping. It's nice to watch motivated youth organizing themselves in something positive. I scan over the small menu and decide I needed some warm soup on this very cold night. My company decides on an non-alcoholic drink. The thought of leaving kept me from my meal for much of the time. The place is so inviting with the dark wood, comfy environment, and nice music. There's also a patio area, but I avoided that because of all the noise and large amount of smokers. Plus it was cold and the Florida in me couldn't take it. We just sip our drinks and take in the place while I try not to think about leaving the area. But this is the type of place you'd want to come back too. So, genug gejammert. Die leckere Suppe - sweet potatoes! (Soup is awesome!) Nice and creamy. Seasoned by not spicy. And trinkt dazu unbedingt einen Chai Latte and be thankful for the strong wifi connection. Wifi seems to be a luxury when in the area. This place is suppose to have a great breakfast but I was never here before the sun went down. Bathrooms were covered in graffiti as I'm come to know in some of the more popular areas. Lots of posting about events in the area if you are looking for something to get into but Klasse Service!

The Cafe is right across from the train station! Perfect for people coming into the city!! The atmosphere is real chill. I don't know how, but they are always playing dope music! It takes me by surprise all the time, like how do they know these songs!! However, I can't complain. I normally just get regular coffee, 'cafe crema'. My girl gets the chai lattes and swear they are the best in Trier! (They are pretty good). This is a great cafe to chill and study and catch up with friends. I definitely recommend it!

Nestled away in a dark, heavily-wooded ravine, the Waldhaus Eifel offers fantastic seclusion and a little piece of heaven for those individuals wanting to sneak away to somewhere quite while in Germany. The food is stellar, with a wide variety of traditional German fare along with a smattering of other options from around the world. We sat on the outside veranda which offered a quite, peaceful lunch with only the wind through the trees making any noise. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with Mushroom Cream Sauce and was exceptionally pleased with the meal. The entrée came with a house salad, which was almost as good as the main course! My friend and I enjoyed several beers with my favorite being the Erdinger Weissbier. Our waitress spoke excellent English and was very nice. The hotel is good, with traditionally smaller rooms than you would find in America, but this is Europe. There did not seem to be air conditioning, so the room got a little hot during the night. Also, the bed left something to be desired with regards to comfortable mattresses. In the morning, the hotel offered a spectacular European breakfast, replete with sliced procuitto, melon, and cake. The also offered a wide assortment of hot dishes to include eggs, bacon, and sausage. Strongly recommended for the traveler looking for a quiet place to sneak away and relax.

This quaint 3 star hotel will offer you all the comfort you need and then some. The rooms are super clean, spacious, comfy, modern and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the food out of this world! From the breakfast buffet to the lunch and dinner options, rest assured that you will not be hungry while staying here. The hotel has 2 restaurants, a bakery, and a "terroir" store that offers all the artisanal goodies you cannot miss while in the area. But prepare to gain weight! Chef Michel Boreux is very creative but also generous. The portions are HUGE! You must try the locally brewed beer, the cuvée de Rochehaut, or the aperitif de la ferme. The modern room we had had all the bells and whistles you can dream of, including a jacuzzi and a spacious rain shower as well as all a sampling of locally made toiletries. And it was clean clean clean! The hotel offers a daily train service to their huge private animal park. A great activity to do if you have children or just want to completely disconnect from this world! The setting and surroundings of the hotel are breathtaking. Be sure to go see the Frahan scenic view point a couple of feet from the hotel where you will see the glorious Semois river. Enjoy!

I took the "croquettes de fromage" as a starter, those were totally burnt (picture joined in). My partner took "croquettes de ris de veau" which were okay but quite heavy. So far No good. But then the main courses were excellent! My partner took the "truite aux amandes": to die for, excellent, not dry and just delicious. I took the entrecote which was grilled just right, the pepper sauce was great. The french fries some what less. Desserts: crème brûlée and chocolate mousse. The sugar was caramelised and put in the fridge. So it was very cold. The chocolate mousse resembled more a chocolate cake: too firm, too heavy. The Crème brûlée as well. So overall two out of three dishes weren't okay. One was fabulous. NB The staff was very friendly and correct. And fluent in French and Dutch.
