The food and service were excellent. The owner is from France and the cuisine is beyond enjoyable.

Stopped in on the way from Raleigh area to Atlantic Beach. Wasn't sure what we were getting into…read morebased on reviews. Glad we went anyway. We made a reservation and were 30 minutes late on a Saturday night. They said they would try to save our reservation. It was half empty when we arrived at 7 pm. Tried to seat us inside at a mediocre table. Glad I asked to sit outside. Beautiful, huge patio. I recommend pushing to stay away from the door inside. There is an annoying bug zapper (why?!) there that kept going off. Glad we didn't sit at the table right near the door. Dead bugs would have been in our food. We had the feta dip appetizer. Said the pitas were toasted. Not. The dip had more cucumber salad than anything. Our server was very accommodating. He raved about the Biltmore Riesling. I don't usually like sweet wine which it was not. Great recommendation. I also tried the Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Riesling for the win! I had the unicorn fish. First time. Perfectly cooked. Yum. My husband had the chicken sandwich and asked to add a fried green tomato and have baby cauliflower. Two upcharges for an additional $2. Worth it. My son had the chicken Parmesan. He liked it. Just small amount of chicken. Overall, liked it. Would love to go back!

(Note give option of in or out we originally said in and changed our minds after walking around) they handle it above perfection! Our waitress Ridley M was super sweet comforting and understanding she was a 15/10 loved her personality and more!! Now side note this is a Major seafood restaurant (which yes I knew). I choose it for that reason as it was to celebrate not just the 4th but also my hubby who LOVES seafood. I do as well but I am highly allergic as in anaphylactic type allergic to ALL types. Ridley made sure the kitchen knew and the kitchen handled it 100000% I had NO ISSUES at all. I enjoyed my food beyond belief as did my husband! The atmosphere was on point the staff was above point frankly and the food yeah we will be back!!! Hubby got the fish and chips and I got the pork chop with asparagus instead of Brussels. Most amazing "date night" ever!!! Both of us are stuffed but not feeling heavy like. I honestly would give this place a 15/10 like on point 100%! To all on board... Thank you for all you hard work to make our night magically beautiful (and safe). Forever in our hearts!!!

It was my wife's birthday, so we've wanted to try Heirloom for her celebration. I worked my way…read morethrough college as a waiter / bartender, so I notice things the average diner won't. Heirloom is a well-run establishment. When you see every employee completing tasks with every movement and the owner bussing tables plus talking with patrons, this is a service-oriented business. For my wife's birthday, the service was indeed excellent. The atmosphere is Southern chic. I caution you, don't try a Saturday Evening reservation by calling Friday night. Call early in the week to ensure a Saturday feast. Heirloom sources as much of its ingredients as possible from local farmers and fishermen. It was Happy Hour so I asked what was the "bar bourbon"? Our waitress, Candice, knew exactly what I meant and told me, Evan Williams. An Old Fashion made with Evan Williams for 8 bucks, Yes Ma'am to that. My wife enjoyed a glass of crisp pinot grigio with her meal. Candice service was impeccable the entire experience. We started with Crispy Mushrooms appetizer - awesome. Our entrees were very generous portions. My wife ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, two large cakes with crispy squash fritters and succotash for the sides, old bay remoulade on the side for the crab cakes. Nothing but crab with very little binder. She loved the entire meal. I enjoyed the Honey Glazed Bone-In Pork Chop with bbq beans and potato salad for sides. The beans needed work, but the potato salad was excellent with big chucks of potato. The pork chop was star though. A huge two-bone affair grilled to perfection. I had to cut it in half and take one half home it was so large. Magnificent. We finished celebrating her birthday by sharing the S'mores Tart for dessert. Graham cracker crust with chocolate ganache layered on top, crowned with sea salt. A toasted marshmallow cream on the side with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. She was delighted. It was not overwhelming sweet. Fabulous with two cups of decaf coffee to finish. My wife enjoyed the whole experience and definitely wants to come back. She believes Heirloom was the best dining delight we've had in Virginia Beach. I certainly agree.

Heirloom is one of the 757s shining gems of restaurants. You get a fine dining style meal and…read moreservice, but in a mostly casual setting. The servers and staff are observant and focused on small details that really set Heirloom apart. I especially love the part of the dining room filled with lush hanging plants. We visit several times a year and are always impressed by the quality. We always order the She Crab soup and a Wedge Salad as appetizers to share. They are both so good, I'd probably request them as my last meal! The She Crab soup is absolute perfection, creamy and full of lump crab. I will not order She Crab soup anywhere else after trying theirs. The wedge has pickled onions, candied bacon, blue cheese and some kind of marinated or pickled tomato. Paired all together to make the perfect bite. We have tried a lot of the menu, it does rotate around seasonally, but there are some items that are consistent. The burger was absolutely decadent but not overwhelming. I usually order the "secret", not so secret Shrimp dinner that's not on the menu anymore. You get 6 of their amazing fried shrimp, a magical dipping sauce (cant' describe it!), and 2 sides. (see what's their seasonal sides!) Heirloom will remain one of our favorite places in the 757 to celebrate special occasions!
