Nice atmosphere and view of the river but the food and service were not great. We had to wait an hour for our food, they forgot one of the sandwiches, and somehow put the ketchup on directly on the inside of the bun underneath the hot dog?? They did mention they had a new chef so maybe things will get better. read more

While on our way back home from the OBX, we found this little gem! The cafe is clean, modern, and has great views of the Roanoke River. We tried the Pimento and Reuben sandwiches. Both were delicious! The pimento is unique as it has bacon, tomatoes, and jalapeños. We also had the espresso and mocha chillers. We really liked the mocha chiller! Of course we grabbed a cookie, the butter pecan, which was yummy. I wanted to try the whoopie pies, but they were already sold out. I highly recommend checking them out if you are in the Plymouth area! read more

It's my pleasure to be the first review of this charming little cafe. I had a nice conversation with the owners, Lou and Jill, who renovated a long-vacant grocery store. There are beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the river. Motorboats berth just outside, and patrons stroll in off the docks. The food is excellent, and my four-year-old son heartily approved. They specialize in grilled cheese, but also have an assortment of pastries, salads, and sides. I had the pimento cheese, which had a slice of fresh tomato and bacon. My son had a plain cheddar on sourdough. He ate almost the whole thing before asking to pack up the last two bites to go. I call that a success! All in all, a welcome and peaceful place. There are nice comfy couches and a friendly dog named Abby. I was only able to snap a photo of the view, as the food disappeared too quickly. read more

Stopped here after getting off of the Swan Quarter ferry. The staff were so incredibly kind not only to my husband and me but both of our dogs as well. They pointed out the friendly dogs for them to meet and welcomed us inside. All four of us are smiling. I wish I'd taken photos! read more

Gorgeous place, very open and really nicely redone. Don't let the "basic" menu fool you- the sandwiches are phenomenal!! So was every side we got. And yes, we got one of each. Such a wonderful place with fabulous, kind staff. Most importantly the food is delicious. They have something for everyone. The salad was fresh and sandwiches very full. Excellent homemade cookies too. And we loved the antique store attached and found a few treasures. They even had a pianist on a Saturday overlooking the River. Can't wait to return. read more

When you first walk in there is a super cute little artisan market and then when you keep walking through there is a cafe in the back. You can tell that it is freshly open as the inside is clean and new looking. The cafe overlooks the Roanoke River and there is plenty of table seating or even couches to hang out on. They also have their dog there chilling on one of the couches. They have coffee and breakfast options for the morning but in the afternoon they have a lunch menu of what they call "specialty grilled cheeses." This includes options of things like ruebens, plain grilled cheeses and hotdogs. There is not a ton on the menu but most people would be able to find something they'd like. I ordered a pimento grilled cheese and honestly it was the best pimento cheese i've had. read more

Wonderful little cafe. Friendly w/ good coffee and food. The space is incredible...the whole back wall is glass and has a wonderful view of the river that runs behind the historic downtown area. My kids loved using the provided binoculars to look for birds and animals up & down the river. Will definitely keep it on our list when we travel 64 to/from the Outerbanks. read more

Husband and I just bought a place in Roper in August. So happy to have this quaint spot to grab a coffee , enjoy a fresh sandwich and tasty dessert.
