We drove about 25 minutes to visit Bisconte in Matthews after seeing so many positive reviews and articles calling it one of the "best pizzas in Charlotte." Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to the hype. We ordered two pizzas, wings, mozzarella sticks, and fries. The pizza was decent, but nowhere near what those glowing reviews suggested. The wings were dry, the mozzarella sticks looked and tasted frozen, and the fries were soggy. One additional downside is that prices are not listed directly on the menu--you have to scan a QR code to view them, which isn't very convenient. Got invited by Michelle to try the uptown location out and I loved my experience! The wings are definitely a 10/10! I tried the Carolina Good & Bourbon BBQ flavors and now I'm hooked. Also tried the Caesar salad, Cheese pizza, Fettuccine Alfredo, Buffalo Mule, and the Loganberry Margarita. Salad was good- not a fan of tomato but should've read the menu closer. Drinks- if you like sweet/sour then get the marg, mule was gingery but not overpowering. Pizza was solid! Fettuccine was creamy but could use a little more seasoning, but I didn't mind because I love a lot of pepper in mine. All in all would definitely return! read more

Highly disappointed. All the staff were extremely rude which we were very surprised by as it was a Thursday evening and it was slow. The pizza was fine, nothing to write home about. I understand why they give the fries as a free side. They were not good. The mozzarella sticks were good but the sauce with them was less than appetizing. The cleanliness was not all that good. Great spot in Uptown to hang out and grab some food with friends or family. Pizza came out HOT!!!! I usually don't eat pepperoni but this was too good to resists so had to try a slice. Love the sesame seed crust too. Wings were delish, tried two different flavors and both were equally good. We also gave their salad a try as well as those huge meatballs...great appetizer options. Servers were nice and answered all our questions. They gave us the 411 on which were the most popular drinks and menu items. Nice location and walkable area, although the parking can be tough. But if you are willing to park on the street and walk a couple of blocks then it will be fine. We came for an early dinner Saturday and were able to find street parking nearby. read more

We've ordered Bisonte's wings more than we'd like to admit. We tried BBQ, buffalo, and parmesan garlic, but the saucy BBQ wings have my heart (and probably my shirt after eating them). The best salad is one that doesn't taste like a salad. Throw in cold cuts and a few naughty toppings, and you've got a salad I'm actually excited to eat. Steak and chicken fingers, together in a sandwich with cheese... I'm pretty sure I reached sandwich heaven. If this is my last meal, I'm good to go. Let's not forget the giant meatballs. Original review: I visited the Trade St. location with my two toddlers today, June 22nd 2025 and had an extremely disappointing experience. When we walked in, not a single employee greeted or acknowledged us -- despite several of them walking past us multiple times and making direct eye contact. We sat waiting for over five minutes with no assistance. What made things worse was the woman who later identified herself as the manager. She sat at the bar with her back to us and started eating. It wasn't until I turned to my son and said, "Is this lady seriously sitting down eating?" that she finally got up and asked if we had been helped. I told her no, and pointed out that she and the other employees had clearly seen us waiting. Instead of apologizing, she dismissed me and started commenting on the slushies my kids had brought in -- which were already gone. Her tone was rude and unprofessional, and when I asked for her name or her manager's contact info to file a complaint, she refused to give me either. We ended up leaving, but I had to come back because my son accidentally left his bookbag behind. When I returned, the same manager came up and said, "Oh, so you need something from me now? I should've thrown it away!" Excuse me? I was stunned. I calmly asked for my son's bookbag -- I didn't curse, I didn't raise my voice, and I wasn't rude -- but she continued to be disrespectful and then told me to leave. The fact that she suggested she should've thrown a child's backpack away was incredibly unprofessional, not to mention deeply inappropriate. It was disappointing, hurtful, and frankly disgusting to be treated this way -- especially in front of my kids. This woman was nasty and unkind, and based on how she speaks to customers, she does not belong in a management position. I've been to a neighboring spot in NC that also has authentic Buffalo food, so I wanted to give this place a try as well. We stopped by on a Thursday for lunch. We had come straight from the airport, so we opted for this location which was only about 15 min away. Bills Mafia was plastered on the window, and inside was nicely decorated with Bills memorabilia. At the time, there was only one other gentleman in the dining room and one at the bar, so service was fairly quick. Extensive menu with lots of options. Unfortunately they were out of loganberry, so we just had water. We got two slices of pizza and wings. The wings were 10/10. Perfectly cooled and reminded me of back home for sure. We got half hot and half bbq. And I would do it again! The homemade blue cheese...excellent! On to the pizza, which i was most excited about....cheese/sauce/cup pepperoni was spot on. But, the crust was the biggest disappointment. It was very soggy. I usually start eating with the crust first and i couldn't believe the texture. So when i picked up the pizza, i was met with the same thing. Wet almost. And i couldn't understand how because the bottom was the perfect color brown. Not sure if it was pre-made and thawed or if maybe the air just hit it too fast where the hot and cold made condensation. But, that was the only downfall. I wonder if I got a whole pie instead of slices if it would have been different. Overall the taste reminded me of home. I could see myself giving it another try if I was in the area. Not your best night..... I get it...Friday Night you are busy....so have your best? Pepperoni pizza was burnt....but we waited so long and the kids were hungry so we ate it. Wings were good but came 10 minutes after the pizza...meaning I had to go and ask for them. Bringing friends with us on an off night.....not what we hoped for since they are from NY and I sold it on being some of the best in Charlotte. I didn't take pics because I was a bit frustrated but didn't want to let the letdown impact our whole experience. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures but a busy 4 YO and catching up with your family will do that! Street parking available. Plenty of seating. Drink and food specials which are great! The pizza was really good, the sauce to cheese ratio was great and I didn't even have to say light sauce like I normally do. The crust is also really great and so were the toppings-we had pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. My only complaint-the pizza wasn't hot. I always start out with a knife and fork when eating pizza because I am expecting it to burn my mouth but the 4 YO was able to pick it up and eat it bc it was just warm at best. I can imagine it would be even better if it was hot! Now the wings-oh man! That's a different story-the wings were AH-Mazing!!! From the street walking by this place does not look like much, but it is near the baseball stadium so we decided to give it a try. Once inside it was much nicer and larger than I thought it would be. There is a bar area with some high tops when you first come in, then there is a larger second seating room with booths and tables decorated with Italian theme items giving it a nice vibe. I was dressed for working out and my husband had just got off work dressed in his office attire, and both seemed okay for the atmosphere. They had a huge menu and we we had a hard time deciding what to order. We happened to go on a Monday and the subs were $1 off, so we decided to go with those. My husband got the meatball Parmesan sub and really liked his. I got the Buffalo chicken sub and it was okay. I could not finish all of it and it was actually better the second day when I reheated the leftovers. I thought the bread was a little hard the first day, but the second day I noticed it was buttered bread. The pizza seems like a really popular menu item, so I would love to come back and try it. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, and one of the things I miss the most is the food. Especially pizza and wings. I was so happy to hear about Bisonte and I've been visiting for years - even before there was a location uptown. If you're familiar with Buffalo, you know LaNova is very popular. It wasn't my number 1 pizzeria back home (won't say who was, but IYKYK), but definitely a good one and beats out anything you can find in the South, no question. Of course the pizza and wings here are prepared like those at LaNova and I indulge every couple of months. Cheese + pepperoni pizza, or plain cheese , and most definitely some wings - honey BBQ, bourbon and Carolina gold are my favs. I also love a good old chicken finger sub, and theirs is much better than a Buffalo-themed restaurant in Huntersville who I won't name. When they have loganberry, I'm a happy camper - Aunt Rosie's or Crystal Beach - but I've been in several times during the pandemic and it wasn't available. read more

I'm not sure how this place is considered best pizza or even being compared to Bflo pizza. I came across advertisement last week for this place so my husband and I went today and when I say I was highly disappointed that's an understatement. We ordered 2 cheese and pepperoni slices to eat while we waited for a to go order. I ordered a 12in stinger sub and my husband ordered chicken parm with meat sauce. The slices were so dry, they had no sauce on them & the pepperoni's were burnt. My chicken fingers were dry and the mild sauce was tasteless, the steak was unseasoned steakums. My husband had to season his pasta himself once we got home. Buffalo Eatz on Tryon stinger is much better and reminds me of how Avenue tasted. Tony's pizza located on Mt Holly Huntersville Rd down the road from Northlake Mall is NY style and better than Bisonte supposedly Bflo style. The roll at Bisonte was good but if it was truly a costanzos roll they have shrunk. I wouldn't recommend or take any of my family that came to visit from back home (Bflo) to this place. I'll have them bring me pizza from Boccee or Francos. What a waste of 40.00 and gas today. The waitress was nice, hence the 2 stars and the atmosphere was cool. read more

Street parking out front is the only parking, but you can leave your car on the curb for undisturbed for pickup. They also are doing seating inside. Recently moved to Charlotte from NYC. I didn't expect to find pizza this good in Charlotte, but I'm glad I was wrong. I had chicken on mine - it had nice thick pieces like someone just sliced up a chicken breast - so some bites had a lot, others had none. Servers were non-communicative when I picked up my order. I ordered for pick up at 6:35 got there a little late but a young lady greeted me and handed my pizza right on over, ON TIME! It's just not good pizza. Way too much cheese. Hardly any sauce on it. Crust tastes like they dipped it in dirty dishwater. One time I had it and the pizza was barely cooked. How this place is in business I have no clue. Thought the wings would be better but was I mistaken. No crisp. And just overall lack of tastiness.
