i wish i would give 0 stars. i asked for long layers and this is what i left the salon with. after this experience i immediately went to another salon to see if they could fix this and she was so upset at the way the cut my hair as well. i'm so sad because i'll never ever be going back to this place and i've had some good experiences there but not enough to keep me. read more

Glad this place opened up here! The assistant manager Mindy hooked me up and did wonders! Went in for a color correction and new color and I absolutely love it! The attention to detail and great products are amazing for the price too. My boyfriend tagged along and got a complimentary haircut and beer, he was hooked! This place has such a great vibe and staff and we fell in love with it! Definitely will be making this my new go to hair place. read more

I've been to many hair salons but the service I get here at Bishop is so amazing. They are super nice and pamper me every time. Linda cuts my hair and I can say that she's AMAZING. She's so cool and nice and from the first time I went there she figured out how I like my hair to be cut. read more

If you are looking to get a cut or color done, you need to go see Aaron M! I am always happy when I get to see Aaron as he always does a great job of understanding my needs and wishes with what I want to get done on my hair and then making me look fabulous! I have gotten my hair toned, trimmed, deep conditioned, and styled with Aaron before. Bishops also has a great promotion where you get the first haircut free and you can also get more rewards via their referral program if you refer friends to their salon. I also recently received some promotions to save some money in the mail. It is already very affordable with the haircut / color prices in my opinion but it always helps to have other floating promotions to keep some money in your wallet. You can make appointments directly on their website and get all checked in before you arrive. I love that they are efficient and are not looking to waste anyone's time. The salon is always clean and even well-decorated for the occasion (i.e. christmas recently!). The staff is friendly and I've experienced no issues in my recent visits. I am just glad to have found a reliable salon nearby for my hair needs, thank you! read more

I had an amazing experience at Bishops. Priscilla color-corrected the blonde mess that was made of my hair since I made the mistake of bleaching my hair at home. My hair felt so nice afterwards, and the haircut was done quickly and wonderfully as well. The atmosphere of this salon is awesome. Everyone is laidback, kind, funny, and engaging. The receptionist was very kind over the phone and was honestly the reason I ended up at this location. For my first ever salon experience, it was great. I highly recommend this salon. read more

I have had the opportunity to receive 10 cuts here and have loved each one. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. They listen to the cut I want and offer suggestions if I ask. I've had fantastic cuts from Sara, Nir, and Rosa, though I bet you could get a great cut from anyone there. read more

I had an outstanding experience at Bishops! Emily took great care of me, I felt relaxed and welcome the whole time. She helped me find a style that I would like, and expertly cut and highlighted my hair. I'll definitely be going here from now on when I need a cut! Highly recommend. read more

I have called them twice to confirm my appointment. And I also left my phone number. But when I came in, they told me the appointment time is already missed. They told me the time they scheduled for me is 1:15 not 1:50. When I waited for 1 hour to come in, the staff in the front desk told me, my appointment is at 1:15 not 1:50, and there is no availability for today. It just ruined my whole day. The staff already asked me to leave my phone number, but why they don't call me to ask me when it's 1:15 but I am still not here. Is it really fun to frustrate me by looking me coming in by 1:50 and then told me the appointment is 1:15? English is my 2nd language, it's really disappointing that they don't address this at all. And just told me I have to wait another day to get cut! Not friendly at all. Don't come here. Don't waste your time. read more

Got my hair colored and highlighted and love the staff, the relaxed environment and the feeling like you matter. Highly recommend

Went in for a haircut and got scheduled with Emily T. Typically I have a picture to show the Stylist; however, this time I did not. But with a few given details she was able to understand exactly what I needed. She was able to produce a haircut exactly how I wanted it. Typically I ask for which ever stylist is available, but I definitely will be asking for her when I go in now. read more

Again Bishops delivers! I brought my mother today, she wanted her hair to look like Mindy's fire hair, all pink, orange, and yellow. We brought this to Marina...and because of her incredible talent she created my new mommy! A new bright, shining, and incredibly happy mommy! Thank you Bishops, and your wonderfully talented staff for again going above and beyond my expectations! And for making a woman whom is extremely hard to please happy! I'm a forever client! read more

I've been here twice since getting vaccinated. Emily does a great job with my hair, and the salon is nice. Everyone wears masks which makes me feel safe. The haircuts are categorized by short and long instead of men's and women's, which should be standard everywhere! read more

I found this place out from Yelp, was a little nrevous about the hair designer. Because I did not see his name mentioned here. I was between a bob with layers and a straight bob. CARLOS did a great job mixing the styles that I wanted. He took his time, styled after first cut then cut it dry again. He has a very good technique. Definetly will come back and bring friends. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I didn't ask for a blow dry I thought it was part of the cut. I only asked for shampoo but it's ok. They gave me the shampoo free :) Anyway, thanks Carlos, you made my day! Give him the chance, he'll nail it! read more

Great place to get a haircut, great service, decor and haircuts. I made an appointment on their website for 3:30 and I was being helped at exactly 3:30, they offered drinks (beers and sodas) while I was waiting, a really nice touch. Jasmine was really friendly, helpful and detail oriented. I'm really indecisive and couldn't pick a hairstyle but she gave me a few ideas and I was able to pick a new hairstyle. She showed me a few product options for my hair and took the time to explain each one. I had a really great experience my first time here, I definitely recommend trying this shop out, the whole place had a really inviting and friendly feeling. I'm not much of a talker, but it did not feel awkward or weird while I was getting my haircut which is nice. read more

First time here, I was welcomed by a friendly staff member and checked in. Within a few minutes, Linda assisted me. She offered me something to drink and kept a conversation going during my haircut. Good place, good ambience, great service, would definitely recommend. read more

Once my work schedule changed I knew that going to my reg barber wasn't going to happen anymore. Thankfully I've found an amazing person in the name of Linda. Finding a barber is like finding the right pair of shoes and Linda exemplifies that by knowing exactly what I want whenever I see her and I couldn't be happier knowing that I have someone I can depend on with my hair. Also huge shoutout to the rest of the staff, as they are incredibly friendly and helpful in every way. read more

I tried Bishops for the first time today. My favorite part about the haircut wasn't even the cut, it was the fact that the stylist, Linda, had a wonderful calm energy and just knew what they were doing. I didn't have to make small talk (which I appreciated so much!) but Linda was perfectly friendly and answered my hair-related questions thoroughly. Would recommend for women's haircuts or for long hair. I had a post-COVID big chop of about 5-6inches, drastic difference and as Linda put it, my hair "looks happy" now :) read more

Thanks Chloe. My daughter loved her haircut and the style! You are so sweet and made her feel comfortable. I appreciate the extra attention at the end as hair is very thick and I know harder to cut. Loved the vibe and friendly feel of this salon. Our first time and will be back. read more

Today was my first visit at Bishops and I scheduled a haircut with Linda. The environment is great - everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I'm in the military so I get a high fade. Bad service, check- in via their website /yelp app is useless, I have checked in a couple of times and still have to wait for a long time to get my haircut. This last time I had a check in and after waiting for close to 20 minutes I was told that Megan my barber had someone else coming in before me, who was not even there yet! I thought no appointments could be made here. Poor customer service and they clearly do not value anyone's time. I know that this will not be the last bad review about this place. Will never go back. read more

I visited Bishops on Monday, for a last minute I'm fed up with my hair, kind of haircut with stylist, Marina. My hair is very thick and wavy, and it had been so long since my last haircut that my hair was just feeling out of control. On top of that, I'm a massage therapist, so to prevent my long thick frizzy hair from rubbing up on my clients, I had it in a bun every day. I was tired of the messy look and my bun was so heavy it gave me headaches. So I decided to go short. When I got there, I expressed to Marina how nervous I was so go short, because from past experiences, I know my thick hair isn't the easiest to cut into a short do. I was not quite sure what I wanted, but knew I couldn't handle the length any longer. Marina was so sweet and guided me to what she thought would be the perfect length. She even lead me through each step, because she knew I was nervous. My hair came out better than I expected it would. I am so thankful I came in while she was working. My hair is lighter, less frizzy and so much easier to maintain at work. You're definitely in good hands when coming here. Not only do they have excellent stylists, the place is constantly kept clean and the check in system helps with the wait. This is will be my new go to spot for haircuts. read more

Had a great day experience. Took my little one to get her first haircut and they were really kind and accommodating to us both. I wasn't sure how a 4 y/o would be received in a chic salon designed for adults and Logan made her feel super welcome. He was patient and engaging. We will definitely be back. read more

Great service, great prices, quick and easy. I left very satisfied with my trim and I will definitely be back.

My wife (Janet) told me about a new full service barber shop / hair salon that had recently opened near us in Irvine. She explained that she had received an email for a 'free' haircut so I should try it out. Since I am pretty particular about my haircuts (USMC retired), so to say that I was hesitant is the understatement of the year. After much 'poking & prodding' from my lovely (& persistent) wife I hesitantly agreed. THANK GOD for my wife (& her persistence) for getting me to give BISHOPS a try, I could NOT be happier with the results!!! The staff was warm & welcoming, and explained that Priscilla would be attending to my grooming needs and not to worry because she was their head barber. No offense to BISHOPS, but I have heard the 'head barber' claims before and was not too impressed. My attitude changed as soon as Priscilla sat me down at her section and began to discuss my hair with my wife (or as I lovingly refer to her as my 'GROOMING DRILL INSTRUCTOR')! Priscilla's knowledge on what would work best with my hair type blew me away. Upon completion Priscilla gave me a certificate for a free shave (a $30.00 saving), but a bit scary because a straight razor shave is 100% dependent upon the barber's technique. I returned the following day and decided to have Priscilla give me a shave. I was told that Priscilla had been working non stop and needed to get lunch, but not to worry because Stef was as AMAZING at straight razor shaves as she was with haircuts. Enough said, I was eager to give Stef a shot! My wife has generously give me straight razor shaves at some of the very best places in both Orange County and Los Angeles County and (NO offense to my LOVELY wife) NOWHERE I have been to could come close to the FREAKING AMAZING straight razor shave that Stef gave me. Her technique was like that of a surgeon. I plan on going to BISHOPS for ALL of my grooming needs & letting EVERYONE know about this AMAZING new spot! Thank you BISHOPS, you have a loyal customer for many years. Sincerely, Chris L read more

I went to bishops on wednesday and got a very slight trim. My hair is barely shoulder length. I had also been there 2 weeks earlier for a trim as well. I went back to have Juanita trim up the bottom of my hair to match the cut on the top. Which cost me about 60.00 the first time. I also went with my hair clean and blown out. They charged me now for a long haircut and style dry which altogether cost me 100.00 the this tine! Are you kidding me! About 2 weeks apart!! So 160.00 in the past month. I wouldnt even complain except for the fact that juanita did a horrible job!!!! It was not what i asked her for! The sides dont even match lenghts and the top and bottom are cut differently! The back doesnt match any of it. I will defiantly not go back. I would beware! What a rip off!!! read more

1st time 13yr daughter had her haircut by Linda. She has super thick hair wavy hair. Linda did a fabulous cut thinning out the bulk . This was the happiest my girl has ever been after getting her hair done. My other daughter , 16, goes to Aaron and he does a fabulous cut! She normally keeps her hair long but the last time she cut it shoulder length. It looked so good she now wants it maintained at that length. Teens girls are hard to keep happy. They were happy leaving Bishops. I also love the Vibe! read more
