The Wave is located on Whitfield St., right next to the back parking lot of Page Hardware. On-street parking is available nearby, or you can park in the Page Hardware lot and walk over. Sometimes they have an employee dressed as a cup of gelato (yes, you read that right) out front waving to cars driving by. Once you're inside, the place is really cute and well-decorated. They have a large selection of candy to the left as you walk in, and on the right are shelves with "The Wave" merch like t-shirts, hats, etc. They also have a few tables in front to sit and eat. They have a couple couches in back if you're looking for more cozy seating. They also have a cool PacMan old school video game in back. Now onto the gelato! They have a pretty good variety of flavors, with some sorbet options as well. I chose the Cookie Dough gelato in a cone, which was delicious! The owner told me they buy their gelato from a local vendor in New Haven. The entire staff were so friendly and welcoming. They all shouted "Welcome to The Wave!" when I walked in.
