Sara took the time on the phone with me and sent me a few photos of items based on the vague description that I had given her to help me pin down exactly what my wife was looking at. Intended as Christmas presents, Sara wrapped them, securely packed them for shipment and also went so far as to find me the most reasonable method of shipping from the small town of Bishop. I needed help. Ken(Kent) helped. He asked what I needed then suggested two brands. The first size was too small, the second was perfect. I tried one. He explained how to fit boots. I asked for socks. He explained full cushion socks. I bought two pairs. The boots and socks were expensive; however, the next day my feet were warm and dry -- and happy. Our experience with Michelle Forbis at Inyo-Mono Escrow/Title Company was unpleasant at best…read more Michelle is not a helpful person in the least. When it was discovered that a previous loan company had not fulfilled their obligation to fully reconvey the property after their loan had been paid in full, Michelle simply told us "There are two liens on the property. What do you want to do?" Well, of course, we had no idea what we were supposed to do. The prior mortgage company was out of business and finding a way to get a full reconveyance letter to remove the first lien looked impossible to us. Michelle had us running around for DAYS trying to figure it out instead of getting on the phone with last title company to get the process moving which is what other experts in the field of real estate transactions told us the escrow agent normally would do. She would've been able to speak the proper language with the previous title company instead of us fumbling our way from person to person trying to figure out how to get it managed. Then someone in the office got the sale property address wrong in the first escrow packet that was sent to us (out-of-state). They begrudgingly decided that they needed to send a new escrow packet when we told them we didn't want to use a memorandum on the tail-end of the process to correct the address. But they sent the address-corrected escrow packet to our home in a different state than where we currently were. They sent the first packet (with the wrong property address) to the address we told them, but sent the second (address-correct) packet to the wrong address. Worst part... Michelle Forbis then indicated in an email that I had told her on the phone to send the second package to the other address when, in reality, I (nor my wife) had NEVER spoken to her or anyone in their office by phone. EVER. They finally had to send a mobile notary to our location to sign the escrow papers. If you have the option to use another escrow company for a property purchase or sale in Mammoth Lakes, it would be smart to take it.

They have after hours drop off but I really wanted to get a consult to see if one of my pairs is just too far gone. I'm going to try a 6th time after work tomorrow but it's honestly really frustrating. I've tried on Saturday with their limited hours to no avail. They are closed Sunday and my only two days off are on the weekends. I work in mammoth and get off at 3:15. It just might be impossible for me to get this consult and drop off my shoes unless I call off work for a day. Extremely disappointed so far because I've heard some pretty good things about this place. Would love to put a review up about their actual work but I can't even get that started. I'm pretty close to sending my shoes up to Tahoe even though I live IN bishop...
