I spent Independence Day in Bishop, and I stopped in do some shopping and browsing at this fantastic store, Bishop Coins. The owner, Bill, is a great guy, a class act, patient and knowledgeable. His store offers a wonderful mix of coins, jewelry, antiques, and curiosities. My hubby wound up purchasing a coin for himself and a poker chip for his dad's collection. He bought me two beautiful pairs of earrings -- one pair is notably of an older era, detailed and gorgeous. I bought myself a shark tooth fossil (I have a fascination with sharks) and a sterling silver dish to display it. The shop has endless browsing opportunities, and chatting with Bill made the visit even more memorable. Bishop Coins will now be our Eastern Sierra tradition. read more

I appreciate the irony of this review & the closing statement written on the sign that I posted a photograph of, but as someone with high risk of COVID issues, the signage and posters inside the store just come across in terribly poor taste. I wanted to give the store owner the benefit of the doubt, but the look we were given for wearing a mask was just silly & I felt that it were only fair for me to leave a review. I appreciate that some people may have differing views on the issue of vaccines & the politics of the pandemic overall, but when you serve the public, having posters inside your store that read: "COVID is a psy-op" and "COVID HOAX" it's a little hard to feel like the owner is looking out for his potential customers and their safety. With hundreds of thousands of COVID deaths in the U.S. & the excess mortality statistics quite clear at this stage. Stances like these aren't really matters of subjective opinion, they're both risky and a denial of globally and socially recognized facts. This owner should consider applying more care toward his customers & fellow Americans, in future. read more

Stopped in to sell some silver here while I was in town visiting. Very nice guy to talk to and I felt he was more than fair on the price he gave me for my silver. I had to buy some shark teeth fossils while I was in there also, because they were too cool not to buy them. I will definitely be back in next time I'm in town. The guy with the one star review doesn't know the difference between facts and propaganda. Yet. Some day, like all, he will also see it was a Planned-demic. Yes, many died and that's very sad, but most of us know it was because of the medical care/protocols used, and then later, the vaccine. We all know now the virus came from a lab in "CHINA". We all know now that masks do not, nor ever have worked. Fauci himself said this. We all know now that even though they tried to force us to take the vaccine, it never prevented the virus OR stopped the spread. What did these jabs do, exactly? Did anyone say class action lawsuits????? Bill is an outstanding man and business man who had the intelligence and bravery to speak the truth and stand up to the tyranny our government was imposing upon us during lockdowns. I met him right around that time in mid-2020 and am honored to know him. While some, like the one star reviewee from NY, may see him as selfish or uncaring, I see Bill as a self-less, courageous Patriot, knowing he would rather die standing on his feet than live on his knees. He absolutely does care about his customers and fellow Americans! He took the time to research and reveal the truth, and not settle for the propaganda we all saw on the news. He doesn't want to see us lose this country and our Freedom(s). I would call that someone who really truly cares. If this country falls to tyranny, where else can we go? I haven't been to Bishop in a couple of years, but #1 on my list is to visit with Bill. He has you pull up a chair and talks to you like you've known each other your whole life.
