He is not someone that will sit and just listen to you talk. I did not have to start from the very beginning. John actually engages with you in a way that is very effective and also very educational. I have seen many therapists over the years, and he is the only one that I would actually recommend to anyone. He has a significant background in numerous areas of psychology and behavioral health, and I've benefited greatly from that wealth of knowledge he has acquired. I read the other review, and I just want to tell everyone to please not mistake his confidence and his intellect as arrogance. Never once did I feel like anything was being pushed up on me in terms of his "beliefs". Like any medical health professional, he will offer therapy through a framework through which to explain things to benefit others. Some may not agree with it, but he has the scientific data to back up his points. He is expensive, as they do not take insurance, but it is completely worth it.
