I really wanted to love this place but I can't help but wonder if the hype comes from being the only "boutique" pet store in the neighborhood... came here to buy some treats and ice cream for my 2 huskies and the ice cream gave them diarrhea. Ok cool, no big deal - it happens right? Then on their birthday, we came to buy 2 dog cakes - totaling $49. They were about the size of muffins. A few days later I was on chewy and saw the same exact cakes selling for $14 each.... That's more than a $20 difference! Some of the dog toys & accessories sold you can also find on Amazon for cheaper :/
This is the best place for gourmet cat treats! We got a ton of freeze dried treats for my cats and they loved it (chicken giblets, mussels and rabbit). It was so refreshing to see a pet store with so much to offer for cats since places are mostly catered for dogs. It also happened to be my cats birthday when we stumbled upon the boutique and got to buy him a custom birthday hat!! Definitely will be coming back
If you are looking to celebrate your pet's birthday, come check out BDB in Japan Town. BDB is a small pet friendly place with all your pet's needs. They have birthday cake, biscuits, and gelato! The shop is so clean, organized, & friendly staff. SO nice they have pictures of dogs on the wall.
What a cute boutique. They had lots of goodies I was able to take home for our dog. The shop was clean and well organized. Customer service was friendly too! We really enjoyed looking at the pictures of dogs on the wall. So adorable!
Super cute shop in Japantown. I stopped by after going to Shuei-jo manju next door because I'd heard about this place and their pupcakes. They have a variety of treats and toys for your cat or dog. It's such a cute shop, and with that comes a rather hefty price tag so I mostly browsed. They have lots of food inspired dog toys. I saw a tiny sushi roll squeaky toy, nigiri, soup dumplings, and more. SO CUTE. They also told me they normally have cakes but were sold out. I ended up leaving with a pink sprinkle dog bone treat and a sprinkle donut treat. That added up to about $7 post tax which is kinda pricey, but what can I say, my dog's spoiled.
One of the most adorable dog toy selections I've ever seen! When it comes to squeaker toys, this place has got them all. For reasonable prices, you could get your pup a White Paw, Milk Tea with boba, a Maki Roll, Donuts, a bottle of Paw-tron, or even a cute Dim Sum Basket where your dog has to get their dumplings out. The toys are unbelievably cute! They also have a great variety of other treats that are freeze dried, have CBD, or even fresh goods for their birthday! Overall, a hidden gem in Downtown SJ. If you can find yourself parking or need somewhere to browse while picking up food in the area, I highly recommend!
I called a few days ago to confirm their hours for today because it's my dog's birthday and I wanted to make sure I can secure a birthday treat for her. The girl on the phone said they would be open today and the updated hours on the website also confirm they are supposed to be open today, but when I arrived, their door was closed with no sign indicating a lunch break. Please be consistent with the hours you post and inform the public with.
Parking here is really bad. It's so hard to street parking especially at this time. When I got to downtown, I saw alot of people lining up to get into restaurants, super market, or just indoor in general. I think the people waiting outside is probably the reason why you can't find parking as no one is coming out and waiting in line. Honestly it's not their fault and it's all because of the social distance. So that's just my share to set the expectations when you come here. Overall I got lucky after two circles of looking for parking, someone came out and I parked in front of this store which was the main reason I came here for! It's my dog's birthday today and I wanted to give her a birthday cake! I came on a Saturday mid afternoon and was lucky to get the last baby pink cake. Apparently during covid, they been getting a lot of doggie parties so alot of people been buying their cakes and "it's my birthday" bandana. I was super bum they didn't have any in stock for my dog's size. But the reason why it was a 5 stars is because the staff was super friendly and it gave me a good experience. Purchases: Pink baby birthday cake and a cupcake toy!
Awesome little pet boutique in Japantown! My dog loves coming here to get treats from the employees. For such a small space, they carry a nice array of great quality treats, mostly for dogs and there's also a section for cats. Now, any pet store carries treats, and you can probably get many of them for slightly cheaper at bigger stores. So what makes Biscuits special? First, their selection of items changes all the time and they carry the cutest things. The toys I've gotten here have been super cute, unique (I have not seen them at bigger stores) and surprisingly more durable than I would have expected. I've gotten 'White Paw' and 'Starbarks' plush squeaky toys as gifts for furry friends, and they sometimes have boba ones too! How cute is that? They also have dog clothes that change seasonally (think raincoats & puffy jackets for winter/early spring, tropical-themed shirts and caps for spring/summer). They are also wonderful for finding things to celebrate your dog's birthday. They make cute little party hats and you have the option of adding a number to it. They also sell birthday bandanas and of course cakes! Call in advance if you want to check their inventory because they *do* sell out. They also typically carry fun seasonal cookies and babycakes (both of which are for dogs, in case that isn't clear). Finally, the people who work here are wonderful and love to see your pets (shout-out to Judy and Jenn)! They do so much to make the space welcoming and highlight their furry customers. They are happy to help if you have questions or need to see if something fits on your dog. People can get intense when it comes to their pets (especially birthdays), so be kind the people who work here and support small businesses!
On a last minute decision to do something for my dog's first birthday, I panicked in finding a legit doggy cake within 24 hours. Luckily I settled on this boutique that truly had EVERYTHING I needed and more! I found a bottle of doggy champagne, a cute peanut butter flavored doggy cake, and even a little paper hat! I think it's safe to say that Biscuits Dog Boutique saved the day!
Perfect spot for dog lovers/pawrents in Japantown! Cute little boutique store with lots of selections, from cutest clothings, dog jerseys, food, snacks to amazing selection of toys like cup noodles, sushi, lucky envelope, etc. You and your pup will have a great time here. Parking in Japantown is always a challenge in the weekend but be patient. You will find a spot and hope the walking distance is not too bad for you. But it's a great way for your pup to get their walks in and sniff away all the wonderful smell of Japantown. Biscuits boutique looks kawaii with the wooden brand board and the big windows display with the words "Give a dog a bone"! Let your dog lead you to this boutique! They'll know the way LOL The service was kind. The staff immediately greeted you when you walked in and let you have your space and time to browse around. Trust me, you and your dog will get lost in this store with all the selections they have! The prices are reasonable in my opinion. What a gem! This local pet store has such a unique selection of cute dog toys that you won't find at a regular pet store. Things can range on the prices side but I love taking my dogs here for their birthday! I always get my dogs a cute birthday hat here as well. read more

I came here to pick up some birthday treats and toys for my pup, and the experience was great! The staff were super knowledgeable and helpful. I loved that they had birthday-themed toys, which made it so easy to put together a little celebration with a consistent theme. They also have a really good variety of dog treats! We got a "Happy Birthday" biscuit, a frozen yogurt treat (pumpkin & cinnamon flavor), and the cutest party hat that was only $2.99. Just a heads-up: the hat runs small, so it's better suited for smaller dogs like chihuahuas. Overall, everything was adorable and fairly priced! read more

A Dog Boutique might not be what you would expect to find in J-Town, but then again, why not? This is a cute little shop full of interesting accessories for dogs and to a lesser extent, cats. I purchased a two-pack of "Yummy Combs" an oral care treat that also claims to be good for your dog's skin & coat. My Zoey enjoyed it, and it may have even improved her breath a bit! read more
Came in here to purchase a birthday treat for my pup. I bought the cupcake cookie. It was a bit hard for my dog to eat, so i had to break it into multiple pieces for her to eat it. Cookie smelled great. But it is a bit overpriced at $4.95. read more

I stopped by on a Friday at 11am, when they opened and had the store to myself. I came in search for a birthday cake for my fur baby. I had emailed them a few days before to see if I could reserve one, but it is first come first serve. They just received a shipment so they suggested I come in prior to the weekend as they sell out of these cakes fast. I initially asked for assistance for the puppy gelato, but I saw that the cakes were in the same freezer so the very nice salesperson went through all of the options and flavors with me. I ended up selecting the Peanut Butter Banana Cake and both gelato flavors. I also picked up a squeaky boba toy. There were also cookies and cupcakes that were super adorable, but the cake and gelato were already overboard! Day of my fur ball's birthday, I thawed the cake for two hours. This particular cake came with a candle, score! Lit the candle and sang happy birthday to him. He and his fur friends thoroughly enjoyed the cake. :) It was not recommended that we refreeze or refrigerate the cake after thawing due to the perishability. My pup also loved the gelato and the toy! Thanks for making his birthday special! read more

I finally had a chance to stop by this cute boutique and was not disappointed! They have pre-made cakes, tons of dog accessories, and a very cute and unique selection of dog toys. I ended up buying a couple toys for my dogs and even a cake. The cashier was even kind enough to share instructions on how to properly store and serve this cake as well. While I wasn't completely sold on the prices of some of the toys (since my dog can be a wildcard at destroying his toys), I'd definitely be coming back during special occasions to splurge! read more

My pets love biscuits! We always get there treats from here and they have the best selection and choices for our fur-babies(: the staff is always very happy and gives our dogs a treat when the come in. When you walk in there is a handy dog bowl full of water for your pets. However sometimes it looks a bit gross so maybe needs to be cleaned out a bit more. Other than that I don't have any issues while I'm there. It's small inside but they use every inch of space they also carry grooming supply's, collars , leashes and bandanas for you pets! They also make dog biscuits and cakes to help celebrate their birthdays! read more
A great spot to spoil your fur baby! I came here looking to buy a cake for my dog's first birthday. It is quite a small store so they only allow a few customers at a time due to the pandemic. Luckily I did not have to wait on a Wednesday afternoon. I was quite luckily because there was only one birthday cake left, a gender neutral apple peanut butter cake. It even came with a candle! The worker was very kind and helpful. She told me that they work with a bakery that supplies them with the cakes so once they are out, they will not have anymore until the bakery ships them more. So I do recommend calling ahead or preparing early to secure a cake. I came in planning on just buying a birthday cake but ended up leaving with so much more. They have tons of great stuff for birthdays like pupcakes, bandanas, and party hats! My dog absolutely loved the cake and pupcakes!! read more

Definitely a great place to spoil your dog here. I was so happy to find this little boutique that have b-day cake for my little one. I looked at a couple of places, since I wanted to get one for Leo's bday, but he was allergic to some ingredients. When I checked the ingredients from this boutique, I was so happy that the bday cake did not have anything that Leo was allergic too! He was a happy little boy when he got his bday cake. Their window display caught my attention. It was a dog figure wearing a Totoro costume. Always wanted Totoro as a pet, but my dogs can fill that void. Unfortunately there wasn't a size for my dog, but we'll be checking back again. We did end up with an aloha shirt and a bag of cookies. They carry other items like kibbles, collars, leashes, and many more. Customer service is great. Had all of our questions answered. If I'm not mistaken, street parking is free on Sundays and holidays. There is a corner parking lot that takes a flat fee of $2 and that was the best option for us. read more

I only bought gelato ice cream for my dogs, but it was kind of pricey. It was $5.99 per gelato that was about 2 or 3 oz. I bought banana peanut butter and triple berry. Went here today for my baby's birthday needs. Such a lovely boutique, very neat and organized. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their baked doggy treats were so adorable and according to my dog's reaction, they're delicious too. While some might think that this place it's pricey, it's worth it. Quality treats and toys. You walk away feeling like you're about to spoil your furbaby who very much deserves it. I've been to a ton of doggy boutiques, but this one is my new favorite and I'm definitely going to be a regular customer! read more
I loved this little place! It is a boutique so the selection isn't extensive as described by others. I came here on a and had no trouble finding parking but as I was leaving I definitely noticed the streets busier. I purchased a gelato, a happy birthday cookie and chicken neck to celebrate my roommates dogs bday. Overall she enjoyed everything so and I will be coming back! As others stated the prices on some items are on the pricey side but this is a small business so I will continue supporting. read more

I love this place but most importantly my pup did too! It was my dog's birthday and I called in as soon as the store opened requesting information about their cakes and how to place an order for later that day. The lady on the phone sent me an email of their catalog and I was able to call back to make my purchase. Initially they did not have the particular cake I wanted in the color (blue) I needed so I decided to go with the next size up. I was able to secure the cake over the phone and pick it up on my way home. Pick up was smooth and the cake was smaller than I thought but good enough for what I needed it for. Left and was able to celebrate my pup's 1st birthday. He loved it and I even packed some of his fur friends leftovers since sharing and caring! The treats helped my dog poop as well. Plus! Will return for any celebratory needs :) read more

Adorable boutique filled with goodies for your furbabies! :) The shop has everything from daily necessities (collars/harnesses/leashes/etc) to tasty nibbles for special occasions. I stopped by to choose treats for my pup's 1st birthday. There are cute little cakes, cupcakes, & cookies in the display counter right at the register. The cakes are pricey ($25.99+); if you're not looking to spend too much, the other baked goods are a bit more affordable ($2.50+). Oak Leaf Cookie || $2.99 I naively gave the whole cookie to my dog at first, but realized that this is one BIG cookie for a small dog. Ended up breaking up the cookie and giving my pup parts of it throughout the week as a birthday week treat :) Party Hat || $1.99 Made of thick, sturdy card stock. Fits small dogs well! I believe they also have larger sizes if you ask. The main trouble is having your dog stay still enough (or be well-behaved enough) not to thrash to try and shake it off, haha. Sweet Potato Chew || $1.50 Healthy chew treat that my pup loved! It's literally a dehydrated piece of thickly sliced sweet potato. Great because unlike many other "chews", this one lasts way longer than the 5 minutes it takes my pup to devour hard chews I've bought from other pet stores. This chew kept her entertained throughout the week. Overall fun place to browse & take your pooch to visit! I will be back :) read more

This place is amazinggggg!!!! I kept Biscuits in my Yelp bookmarks for several months in preparation for my pup's first birthday. I was originally taken aback by how tiny the cake was and then I realized it was a cake for dogs (duh moment for me). Sure it's pricey but I thought it was worth it since birthdays only come once a year. The cake itself was absolutely adorable and we had a blast thanks to Biscuits. Stopped in to grab a cake and goodies for my rotties 9th birthday party. This store has it all. I love the selection, great service and the prices are reasonable. Although, we would spend anything on our puppers. I will be back for one off he scarves and Hawaiian shirt I saw on my way out lol. Family photo time!!! read more

Celebrated my dog's 7th bday decided to get him his first ever cake here. Cut the cake open and I could just smell how burnt it was, as you can tell by the photo the bottom is so very burnt. The cake was so cute but it was so dry. I was very disappointed cos everyone was giving 5 star reviews :( read more
