Excellent food, atmosphere and music! The pre-lunch biscuit was a delicious surprise, followed by a nice Roast Beef PoBoy. My wife had the smoked ribs daily special, all of the sides were very good. On a road trip from Austin, TX to our home state of Mississippi, we were in Natchez for a mid-afternoon lunch. Yelp had good things to say about Biscuits and Blues, so that's where we headed. We left disappointed. Lets walk though it... - Cold, greasy, biscuits. They would have been good if they were fresh. Even though they were bad, they were the best part of our meal. - Everything on the kids menu was fried. I noticed that they had a salad with grilled chicken strips on it, so I asked if we could get those a la carte for my 1 year old. They refused and offered no alternatives. Got a grilled cheese instead. Ridiculously greasy (this is coming from someone who was raised in the deep South) but OK. - I ordered the rib plate. Oh boy! They come, everything looks good, I take a bite, and... they're cold by the bone. They've been reheated, but not enough. I do understand the need to reheat BBQ when you're not cooking it on site, but you can't send half-cold food out to a customer. I call the waitress over and explain the situation. She takes it back to the kitchen, where they microwave the ribs again. When they come back they're tough, but by-God they're hot. Yuck. - My wife ordered the vegetarian po-boy (fried zucchini). It was mushy and overloaded with mayo. Yuck. - When I got the check, I was surprised to see I was expected to pay full price for my cold, then microwaved, then tough and microwaved, but very hot, ribs. I told the waitress I'd like some consideration, and she took it to the manager/owner who refused to reduce the tab. I'd seen her interact with another customer over a drink selection, and it wasn't pretty, so I decided to call it a loss, pay my tab, and get the hell out. Never again. This place is antithesis of all that is good Southern cooking. They're churning out over processed, greasy, microwaved, bland food as cheaply as possible. If you're from outside the state and passing through Natchez, please go somewhere else. I don't want you getting this taste in your mouth when Mississippi has such good food to offer! read more

Not worth the money. Biscuits were ok. Smoked plate - meat had been cooked long before we arrived and was dry - sides were mediocre. Two of us had salads - way overpriced. My daughter said she would have preferred Dairy Queen - yuk! Not worth the stop. read more

The po'boy was very disappointing! It had 6 medium shrimp on a $10 Sammie. The bread was a dry white bun that had been grilled. Poboy buns are not grilled and dry!! The grill was cold and the shrimp like rubber. The fries were hot and crispy. And the biscuits were really good. The apricot butter was yummy!! Our server was pleasant and the food arrived in good time. But do not order the poboys!!! They are a three on the one to ten scale!!! read more

When we arrived on Friday night, there weren't any tables so we were seated at my favorite 'table', the bar. There we got to meet the bartender, waitresses and the owner. It's a great way to enjoy some wonderful food. We started with the crawfish nachos. Very good. My lady had the spinach salad with oysters and hot honey dijon dressing which was great and I had the Eggplant Orleans. This was a stack of nicely fried eggplant layered with grilled shrimp and a goat cheese {I think} sauce. This is served on a tomato coulis and four fried oysters. You can't beat it. The owner talked about sunday brunch which includes grillades and grits. The grits being jalepeno cheese grits and the grillades are pork. Wish I could hang around. This place is on short favorites for this trip. Why fly when you can drive and try new exciting restaurants like Biscuits and Blues....Oh and there was a blues singer there, and she was great too. read more

In town doing all the touristy stuff, we stopped in Biscuits and Blues for dinner while walking downtown. The food was good, but the place could use a decor remodel, needs more of a blues feel. I had the fried shrimp plate, it was very good and the shrimp were huge. The homemade tarter sauce is very good. The biscuits with the apricot preserves butter were out of this world. I would go back just for that. Our waiter Wood was great, and also helped with recommendations for stuff to do while in town. read more

Natchez First Timers, we stopped here for dinner after our first 2 choices were so crowded we didn't think we'd be seated before closing on a Sunday night. Let me first say the service was wonderful. We were greeted promptly and told we could sit where we like, our server April was friendly, attentive and helpful. Second the food; was good, biscuits good, salad, fine. The crawfish beignet, which sounded interesting, was not, it was just ok, maybe it needed more seasoning in the gravy, and I think our beignets may have been a little overdone. That being said the Eggplant Orleans was AMAZING! Crispy fried to perfection eggplant, sautéed shrimp, crispy fried oysters and I can't say enough about the fresh spicy marinara sauce. There was also a cheese sauce, but it was the marinara for me, FANTASTIC, I don't generally like oysters but they were perfectly fried and with that sauce..... So delicious! Not much to choose from for dessert, we had the chocolate bread pudding and it was fine, but nothing to get excited about, and I like to be excited about dessert. Third atmosphere; while I like to be able to see my food, the lighting was a little bright for my taste in a pub type place, I would suggest lower watt bulbs or take out 1/3 of the lights. Also for a restaurant with Blues in its name, I would have liked to have heard some. All and all this was a nice little spot and we would have given it more stars if the other items we ordered had been a little more memorable and the lighting a little less... read more

Service was great as was the biscuits and appetizer however when the $20 seafood platter came out, it was lacking quite a lot. Minimal amount of food that tasted horribly. Was then told by the server that many people have complained about the platter. read more

Gone there maybe four times when passing through town, don't think I'll stop by anymore. Went today hoping it was better than times before, not saying the shrimp poboy's aren't good but I have had better. What really disappointed me was their was NO BLUES playing, I love some blues; had rock playing. If I go somewhere that has the word Blues on the door I want to here blues. read more

We really liked this restuarant. The biscuits were great and the shrimp poor boy sandwich was awesome. The shrimp were large nad very tasty. Highly recommend. Good bar and had a draft beer that was very good. read more

The little biscuits with butter and jam were very good, however the rest of the food was very bland and tasteless. I can't figure out how any kitchen can turn out mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese that have no taste. Shockingly, the squash was very good.
