I went to the biscuit with my dad and boyfriend. I'm vegan so I ordered the vegan taco plate I believe. I enjoyed their portion size, it wasn't so big that it was overwhelming. Biscuit was pretty basic. We had some friends in town and decided to go to brunch and try a place we hadn't been before. Our son is obsessed with big garage doors so it was super entertaining for him to see the doors opened up to the patio where we sat. The guy working up front was courteous and let us know that our wait would be 20 mins and we got seating a little before that mark which was nice! Our server was prompt and everything on our order was as we wanted it. As far as the food goes, it was just ok. Nothing crazy to write home about. One of our friends is from Arkansas so he is very particular about his grits as well as the biscuits. His review of both were "no to the grits and for a place called Biscuit you'd think they'd me amazing." Being vegan I appreciate that they created a vegan breakfast option with impossible burger included in it. Sometimes when I go places I like to think that it will be worth going out to breakfast and getting something that would take me too much time to make at home. Sautéed veggies (with waaaay too many mushrooms) and a plant based patty and some toast....hash browns, again pretty basic. In the grand scheme of things, I'm glad I checked this place off my list of places to try. I frequently visit a bakery nearby and have been curious about trying Biscuit. I can be grateful that our experience was amazing as far as the ambiance and customer services goes, but the food being mediocre we probably won't be back. read more

Triple threat, but not in a good way: food was seriously underwhelming, several items were not included, and the restaurant apparently blocks unfavorable feedback on delivery platforms. Entree was described as "Wild mushrooms, spinach, onions, tomatoes, avocado, hash browns or spicy sweet potatoes and an impossible burger, served with mixed fruits." Wish I had thought to take a picture, but there was very little spinach, the mushrooms were not "wild," no tomatoes and no fruit. Hashbrowns were soggy. Shockingly, with tax, fees and delivery tip this was over $30. When I called the restaurant to discuss missing items and general quality issues, the manager said GrubHub sets the pricing (they don't) and the meal is $7 less at the restaurant. It wouldn't be worth it even at that price. I went to leave honest feedback on the platform, and before I had a chance, I saw a notation, "feedback skipped." I contacted GrubHub about this, and apparently restaurants can simply block someone from a review. That's unethical of the restaurant, and weakens the credibility/value of the platform, by curating out negative experiences. read more

Overall, it's about what you would expect for a typical breakfast place in a suburban neighborhood like Frisco. Nothing that jumps out at you as amazing, it's more like a Denny's quality, but with a better atmosphere and friendlier (our particular waitress, Kristin P. was great!) staff. Overall, it was a good experience for us and we'd come back. One thing I would definitely change though, is if you're going to say maple syrup on the menu, then serve real syrup, not corn syrup. It's misleading, and disappointing. You can say served with warm syrup, and it won't change anything, but will definitely keep people like me from getting turned off. It reminds me of going to a sushi restaurant where they say crab, but it's actually fake crab (which is actually white fish with red dye...lol). read more

Great brunch spot - went here this past weekend and had a great time. Our server (sorry to say I don't remember her name) was AMAZING. She was so positive and friendly and happily took great care of us throughout the entire meal. The meals are very generous - and the food was delicious. The coffee is also exceptional. We didn't have a reservation and showed up at about 11:30 on a Saturday. There was a ~20-minute wait (no big deal) and the whole experience was great. I walked in this morning and there was only one other party present in the restaurant. I waited at the front entrance and no one greeted me and there wasn't a sign directing me to sit. I went ahead and sat at a booth. I watched two women help several customers with their pick up orders. I wasn't acknowledged, greeted or given a menu. I got up and left after one of the women passed me to go outside to deliver something to a customer picking up. My feedback to this restaurant is aknowledge your customers by greeting and seating them. This type of carelessness made me leave and take my business to the Corner Bakery down the street. read more

The waiter was friendly and my order was served promptly. The coffee was also good. That's all I can say was good about this place. For starters, I came here expecting to be biscuit'd since the name of the restaurant is "Biscuit". Unfortunately I could only find one menu item that features biscuits (the biscuits and gravy, which FYI I can get anywhere). For all other entrees, the biscuit was served as an optional side order (toast, biscuit, or fruit). This is almost false advertising. I ordered the meat skillet with biscuit and a side of gravy. I was given a smallish portion of food and the biscuit was on a separate plate, almost as an afterthought on the side, not incorporated at all into the entree. The biscuit itself was very light, airy, and dry, almost like a dinner roll. The taste (to the extent that it had any) was wrong and the consistency was all wrong. You'd think a restaurant named "biscuit" would serve at least an above-average biscuit - wrong. The entree itself was completely devoid of any flavor or taste whatsoever. There was zero seasoning on the eggs or potatoes. Even the meat on the skillet was tasteless. Usually this is no big deal because I ordered the gravy to go with it. The gravy was among the worst gravy I've ever had. It had absolutely no taste whatsoever and was like eating paste. All I could taste was flour and water. The entire entree ended up being so bland and tasteless that it was almost hard to eat. Then came the check - for breakfast for one with a single entree and single drink, with tax and tip, was a whopping $21.54. The charges on the check don't even make sense. The menu says "Meat skillet $10.95" but the check says $12.90. Somehow it became $2 more than the menu says. Then they charged extra for the gravy to put on the biscuit! Two of us went in for the first time today. It was mildly busy for a 9:30 on a Friday. Our waitress was friendly and we both enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere the restaurant provided. I ordered a delicious iced caramel latte. For the main course, my sister ordered the Frosted Cinnamon French Toast and I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The French toast was the perfect meal to indulge. Although the looked plain, the Huevos Rancheros were quite the opposite. Maybe my family and I ordered the wrong things, but we were extremely disappointed in both the presentation and quality of the food and felt a bit angered to have wasted $40 here. The presentation was abysmal - something a child would make for their parents for a surprise "breakfast-in-bed." When one of my family members received the below meal, his response was "what. this was $11?" You can tell that a lot of the hired help are high schoolers or college students that lack proper training on how to use the iPads to put in orders. The avocado toast lacked taste and seasoning and was a bit upsetting to receive and look at. We asked to be seated on the covered patio. The other thing that was a pleasant surprise was there was music playing at 9am. The upbeat sounds quickly caught my daughters attention. Throughout our meal tunes from top artists (Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Jonas Bros, etc) filled the air but wasn't too loud where you couldn't here yourself talk. FOOD- The menu was packed with traditional breakfast/brunch items and then some modern twists. Whether you want something on the lighter/healthier option or full spread they have you covered. - Fruity Pebble Pancake- This was one the kids menu. It came with eggs and two bacon. Nicely priced just beware Drink is not included in price. - Shrimp 'N Grits- This came with 4 medium size shrimps with tails on and bits of sausage inside. It also had a spicy salsa like chutney. Also, I didn't realize it came with 2 biscuits. The biscuits were thick but didn't remind me of my grandmas southern biscuits. - Strawberry French Toast: This item came with 2 extra thick French toast topped with lots of strawberry's and side of whip cream. I didn't eat the toast until later and honestly it's enough to feed 4. They are super thick like the size of two Texas toast put together.... a little too thick for my liking. SERVICE- The service was ok nothing to rave about. Our waitress was friendly once she finally arrived to our table. The food came out fast but I just think it was one of those Saturdays. I gave it a 4/5 rating because in my opinion their signature item (biscuits) were underwhelming there were better items - I'd highly consider a name change that better aligns with the delightful eclecticness of the menu. read more

Went here today for my birthday brunch. The food was good and i was actually enjoying it until i saw this large screw on my sweetpotato. I'm not even mad about it but definitely lost my appitite. The server was very nice and sweet and appologies about it right away. What pissed me off was when the owner came by and ask if i saw that screw on my food and said that we dont have that in their kitchen. No appology and just said will take your food out with an arrogant look. Wow. Its like he's trying to say that we put it there intentionally so that we can avoid paying for it. Tried this place for the first time this afternoon and it was nothing short of AMAZING! First off, our server Hilda was super sweet and helped recommend a dish for me that was perfect. The chorizo omelet was so tasty & full of deliciousness. All the ingredients put in were perfect and everything was cooked just right.. not to mention the food came out fast. Secondly, the portions were big! You really get a lot for your money and the quality + presentation was beautiful. Lastly, the atmosphere was so pretty and super cozy at the same time.
