It doesn't look like a typical restaurant but nonetheless, everything was good. Server was very attentive, answered all of our questions, food was out super quick. Decent prices for the amount of food that is served. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and has a family feel to it. Parking was not hard to find. Overall, very nice to finally have found a restaurant we can come to when we want to some good food while visiting. P.s. we ordered chile rellenos, pozole, flautas, mole poblano and tamales fritos. They serve complimentary avocado on the side, along with salsa, lime, onions, cilantro, fried chile de árbol, and chips. They also provide the essentials for menudo like red pepper flakes and oregano, which really complete the experience. The menudo comes in different sizes, including mini, small, large, and extra large. I personally prefer just the intestines, but they also offer nerve, foot, and hominy, and they don't mind customizing it to your liking. The avocado is unlimited and they'll refill your sides at no extra cost, which is a huge plus. The prices here are also very reasonable. I've tried the chilaquiles before--they have great flavor, but they're a bit softer than I prefer since I like mine crispy. Still, they're good. They also offer a wide variety of options like omelets, molcajetes, appetizers, quesadillas, molletes, egg dishes, kids' meals, and desserts. The staff is very friendly. During the weekdays it's not too busy, but on weekends it gets packed and parking can be limited. The menudo also comes with complimentary tortillas. The restaurant has a nice vibe, everything is kept clean, and even the restrooms are well maintained (just one stall each for men and women). I always enjoy coming here when I'm in town--the food is consistently great.

This time I decided to try a very Mexican type of food restaurants that offer Carnitas among other dishes. I tried their carnitas combination with three different types, maciza, cuerito and buche... Carnitas usually are very greasy but Quiroga's amazingly are very soft in grease and they are tender and tasty. Their salsas amazing!! A green avocado salsa and the other chile de árbol red, hard but very tasty. Since we arrived they are very welcoming, rapid to serve with a smile. They have a unique style that makes you feel welcome and the prices are fine. Quiroga's is located in Avenida de Los Heroes the nicest boulevard in the city and has an elegant ambience. I'm pretty sure I'll be back in my next trip again... if you are in Tijuana and you like typical Mexican food, don't miss it.

As you walk in, you can see a lady making handmade tortillas. You can also see a large container of freshly made chicharron. The inside is nice with plenty of tables to seat multiple parties. They have two dining areas. My brother loves their tacos de carnitas surtidos. He normally gets three. They are made with handmade tortillas. I try something new each visit. So far, I've had their pan frances, tacos, pechuga de pollo, arrachera, and chilaquiles. Everything has been tasty. For this visit, I had their enchiladas with red sauce. I had one of each filing: chicken, cheese, and pork. They serve the three enchiladas with frijoles refritos, and machaca. I also got a licuado de platano. The licuados are lightly sweetened. The red sauce was flavorful. I've never had an enchilada with pork. The pork enchilada had the best flavor. They use queso cotija like my mom does. The chicken enchilada was flavorful. The chicken was seasoned well. They accept card and cash. If you pay with cash, I would recommend bringing pesos for a faster transaction. If you pay with dollars, they do take around 15-20 minutes to bring you change. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes.
