This place a great find in the no-so-touristy part of the 20th arrondissement. My wife and I had just arrived from a long international flight and were looking for a place to eat dinner not far from our place. Found it on The Fork (or La Fourchette) app from trip advisor with great local reviews and 30% off a la carte items. So we ordered 12 wings, 3 sides and 2 cokes and had a delicious dinner for €22 which is hard to beat. At 7 p.m. on Sunday the first 3 customers were actually English speakers like us (well honey especially...) but the owner speaks very good English and was able to explain everything in detail. Actually 7 p.m. is opening time for dinner at this place on Sunday as people in France tend to arrive later for dinner.
The wings are good French raised chicken that is grilled not fried. It's good chicken, you can tell, because bones are well attached to the flesh, unlike the cheap chicken you can find in the US where everything falls apart when you cook it. They give you a bunch of sauces to pick from, and that they grill with. We picked a different sauce for every couple wings and stayed on the mild side. All excellent.
The sides were actually very delicious as well. The french fries with deliciously crispy. The quinoa and mixed grain salad was super fresh in the best part was the assortment of grilled vegetables from bell peppers to eggplants and zucchinis.
The only downside were the tables that are really small. The wood boards on which they serve everything takes over most of the table, especially if you pick the wings or full chicken. I think that if you order chicken tenders on a stick it's a lot easier to eat and less messy but I like wings. read more
