We went there at the recommendation of a friend. Their pizza is awesome! It's off the beaten path but worth it.

It's the newest one in the airport, tucked away above the far end of the new A gates, and I'd happily arrive three hours early just to spend more time here. Being a 10-15 minute walk from most A and B gates (and even farther from others), it seems to stay a little quieter than the other lounges, which is a huge plus. The entire space feels fresh, bright, and incredibly clean. The bathrooms were immaculate (complete with touchless doors), the seating options were plentiful, and there were thoughtful spaces for every type of traveler from cozy lounge chairs to workstations and even soundproof booths for calls or meetings. The large windows overlooking the concourse let in tons of natural light, while the frosted lower panels still gave the lounge a sense of privacy. The food and beverage setup was one of the best I've seen. Breakfast included everything from pastries, bagels, cinnamon rolls, eggs, and sausage to fresh fruit and charcuterie-style offerings, and everything stayed well-stocked. The drink stations were equally impressive, with the usual coffee, water, and soda options plus a separate specialty coffee bar with flavored syrups and even a lemonade station where you could customize your drink. What truly made this lounge stand out, though, was the staff. Every single person we encountered from check-in to the attendants throughout the lounge to the bartender were genuinely warm, welcoming, and smiling. They made the space feel even more inviting. This lounge is clean, modern, spacious, and just a little swanky. It's easily my favorite Delta Sky Club in Charlotte (and compared to other locations I've been), and from now on, this is the one I'll gladly go out of my way to visit before every flight.

There were 2 check-in stations at the front. Both ladies got my colleague and I checked in fairly quickly. I used my American Express Platinum to check in while she used her Delta access. SEATING / LOUNGE There are plenty of seats in the lounge and various types of seating (booths, bar, high stools, table, little cubbies, etc.). The Sky Lounge has an enclosed area, where most of the amenities are. They also have a non-enclosed area where they have a couple pods to work in or single-occupant table with chairs lining the perimeter. You do get the noise being in the non-enclosed area - unless you're inside the pods. In the enclosed area, however, you can choose to sit near or away from the windows. Most of the seats have access to an electrical outlet. There are numerous ports throughout the lounge. BAR They have a full bar available with at least 2 staff members working. There are high bar stools and a couple low bar chairs available. It wasn't too busy when I came into the lounge. FOOD & DRINKS When I arrived, they had charcuterie items, as well as chicken fajitas - they were just okay. I actually enjoyed my Key Lime Pudding. They had other sweets available like brownies and Rice Krispy treats, etc. I liked the selection of beverages from coffee, tea, fountain drinks, and a make-your-own lemonade station. RESTROOMS I can only speak for the Women's restroom and it has plenty of stalls. The floral wallpaper looks gorgeous with the gold fixtures. They also have feminine pads and tampons available. And an area away from the sink to do your makeup. The music carries through inside the restrooms. I do like the tall doors in the stalls. STAFF The staff are friendly here. The older lady kept the place tidy by picking up unused plates and glassware. And the food area was well-stocked. Overall, this was a nice place to unwind before take-off and to grab a quick bite. I used it to refill my Hydroflask with ice and my DIY iced tea, and catch up on emails. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in CLT.

The waiter frequently mumbled though, and on multiple occasions I had to ask him to repeat himself as I had no idea what he said. Most of the seating is rustic benches, which fits the image but isn't exactly a comfortable arrangement. I also found myself bothered by the flickering light bulb in the track lighting above my seat. Minor issues, but still part of the experience. My order consisted of the pulled pork tray, macaroni & cheese and baked beans. I assumed there's would be some sort of bread included, perhaps hushpuppies, Texas toast or even cornbread...but that's not the case. The pork was pretty moist but didn't have much smoke flavor. The "Western" style sauce is far too sweet for my package so I asked for their Piedmont option, expecting a Lexington-style concoction. What I got was more reminiscent of ketchup mixed with vinegar, lots of sugar and some coarse ground black pepper. Sending a theme here? Avoid the typical sauce options unless you really like sugar. The beans were also oversaturated with sweetness. But the mac & cheese was nice, as they'd included some little chunks of cooked peppers into the mix for a bit of extra flavor. Is the food okay here? Sure, in terms of it being edible. And I'm sure there may be potential patrons who want their barbecue sauce syrupy sweet and who don't have their expectations based on a wealth of solid barbecue experiences. 2.75 stars in my book.
