Personal pies

This is a very cute little pie shop, they offer little personal pies which are perfect for trying out a few different flavors and sharing. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well!

Peach cobbler, celebration, pumpkin cream, triple berry. The pumpkin is to die for!! I wish I had tried their other cream pies!

Fast service, kind people, helpful, GREAT pies. If they have the pumpkin Cream flavor do yourself a favor and buy one. It is NEXT LEVEL good. I wish I had tried some of their other cream pie flavors. Definitely will return!

I live in Florida but I found this gem last time I was here! We came back and first stop is the pie shop!! These pies should out do any pie on gold belly's. It's amazing and the owners are so nice!!! How do they make these pies so delicious??? Now they just need to ship to Florida!!! T

ALERT....Pies AND Chicken Pot Pies!!! Recently opened a second location. The first store is in Post Falls. Both places, the young employees are so outgoing, helpful and enjoy working there. It's obvious the owner treats her employees like they were her family. That's how you grow and maintain a successful business. No I don't know the owner....I understand and can identify good businesses. Great pies. This picture is of the large chicken pot pie we purchased. You can cut in half and freeze that portion for another date. Delicious and tasty crust. There is a customer point system AND Veteran discount. We've had a few of their chicken pot pies.....mostly the individual ones which are a satisfying meal. If you want that pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving....ALWAYS pre order as they sell out.

Amazing pies with such warm, friendly staff. I love that they have GF options which you usually have to order ahead, but they seem to make some extras for pick up around holidays. I was able to get two personal GF pies and my husband got two regular personal pies (pictured). Flavor and quality is top notch, I would recommend this place to anyone visiting town. Seems the word is already out with locals as they've always been busy when I stop by. Flavors we had were: pumpkin cream gf, coconut cream gf, pumpkin, and banana caramel. So good! We ate all of them in one day - prepare for a sugar rush.

Eating Key Lime Pie in Norway!

This little gem of a bakery makes wonderful pies. Our favorite is the Key Lime. When family from Norway visited recently, I served them the Key Lime pie. They loved it so much that they asked for a recipe so they could make one for their parents when they returned to Norway. Thanks, Birdie's!

This was my second time coming in and it was delectable as I remember! My coworker and I got the chicken pot pie individual sizes and a chocolate and key lime pie bite. Heaven in the mouth. The shop is super cute and keeps the homey feeling of the country cottage building. Staff was very nice and helpful with questions. Highly recommend if in the area!

I'm sad to report that we did not enjoy the apple pie we bought today. It wasn't sweet enough, and lacked flavor. For the pricey $30 cost, it left us underwhelmed and sad to miss out on what everyone else has been enjoying.

pecan pie and coconut cream pie

wow this place was so amazing, they greeted us with a warm smile and some water and then brought us our pie tasting items. they made sure we got to try all the flavors and let us take some home on them! truly such an amazing experience with such sweet staff. I didn't ask for there names but they made me and my fiancés day. we can't wait to get some birdies pies for our wedding and have our family start to love them as much as we did!

Loved the apple crumble full pie. On a separate visit I ordered the quad of four individual pies so you can taste a variety of flavors!

Great selection and the size is just right. I think they need to put sugar on crust before cooking. That's what my mama always did.

Daughter dropped by with coconut cream pie - not even my favorite. Hands down BEST pie I've ever eaten. Can't wait to try other flavors.

I'm not sure why the reviews are so low ... maybe the quality of their place/service and food needs…read moreno reviews. Must see eat- to believe ... who knew Idaho had it in them - there's no potato's involved. The salads are fresh and rewarding to the taste buds Everything is house made. The garlic sauce bread sticks .... Wow. And of course the cannoli...... eclairs - so perfect. Every single thing was that good And I've been to NY .. I also have a seasoned pallet ... I know good food. Go eat it. The locals said to and I did.

Ciccarelli's -- Coeur d'Alene…read more As someone who has traveled extensively -- including throughout Italy, one of my favorite places on earth -- I do not say this lightly: Ciccarelli's serves some of the finest pizza I have ever eaten. And I mean anywhere. Italy included. There is something almost impossible to describe about truly exceptional pizza. At a certain level, words begin to fail because great pizza is not analyzed... it's experienced. It's the kind of food that causes conversations to stop mid-sentence because everyone at the table suddenly realizes something special is happening. That's Ciccarelli's. I've lived in Coeur d'Alene barely three weeks and my wife and I have already been there three times. At this point, resistance appears futile. Every pizza we've tried has been a masterpiece. Not "really good." Not "our favorite in town." Masterpiece. The crust alone deserves poetry -- blistered, wood-fired perfection with that delicate balance of crispness, chew, char, and tenderness that only happens when people truly understand dough. Every ingredient tastes intentional. Nothing feels thrown together. Every bite -- from the tip of the slice to the outer crust -- is a full gastronomic experience. Favorites so far: THAT'S AMORE -- red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onion, black olives & mozzarella. THE SPICY ITALIAN -- spicy red sauce, pesto, Italian sausage, red onions, fresh mozzarella, parmesan & basil. Ridiculously good. THE STELLA -- olive oil base, goat cheese, prosciutto, apricot preserves & honey drizzle. Sweet, savory, luxurious, and somehow perfectly balanced. And the Pizza Margherita... Listen carefully: A Margherita pizza is the ultimate truth serum for a pizza restaurant. You cannot hide behind toppings. It exposes everything -- crust, sauce, cheese, balance, restraint, technique. Ciccarelli's passes that test with flying colors. Their Margherita has become my weekly sustenance pizza. And then... The desserts. Good grief. Most restaurants treat dessert like an afterthought. Ciccarelli's treats it like a sacred continuation of the meal. I am slowly working my way through their dessert offerings, but I keep getting derailed by the BLACK BOTTOM COCONUT CREAM PIE. I have been eating coconut cream pie for over seventy years. Seventy. I have NEVER had anything like this pie. The rich saturation of flavor... the generous texture of real coconut... the black bottom... whatever culinary sorcery is occurring back there needs to be protected by national treaty. It is so good that you could honestly justify visiting Ciccarelli's solely for dessert. Also outstanding: * Piña Colada Cream Pie * Strawberry Shortcake Torte * Napoleon * Cannoli The restaurant itself is immaculate, intimate, warm, and beautifully designed. Seating is limited, however, and deservedly so. My advice? Get there early or go on a weekday if possible. They also offer lovely outdoor seating. And finally, the family behind it all. There is something unmistakable about a place built by people who genuinely love what they do, love each other, and love the experience they are creating for others. You can feel it the moment you walk in. That kind of thing cannot be faked. Ciccarelli's is not merely a restaurant. It's one of those rare places people discover and then quietly hope doesn't become too famous because they still want to get a table. An absolute gem in Coeur d'Alene.

My husband is Scottish and they made a beautiful brunch spread for us based on traditional Scottish food. Our favorite was the scotch egg hash. They also made delicious individual cinnamon rolls for each of our guests. It made our day that more special to us having food that meant something to us and our family. Rachel and Ruben are a fun creative duo and I highly recommended hiring them!

I've even participated in family gatherings making tamales as part of holiday traditions. So, I've eaten a lot of wonderful tamales in my 47 years. So I can say, with authority, that Rachel and Ruben's tamales are better than all of them. Not only is the filling bursting with authentic flavors and spices, but the masa is also popping with flavor and not one bit dry -- even after reheating in the microwave. Many times that's not the case -- to be moist they must be steamed. This was such a treat for me because I had them delivered to my office, and stored in my fridge to enjoy for lunches, and only have a microwave available. I got a mixed dozen, which included cheese, pork, and chicken. All were perfection. I also got a mixed box of macarons, their selection choice so I could be surprised. Also pure perfection. They literally couldn't have improved on anything. Most highly recommended.
