This place is not bad. It's not great but not bad. I came on Sunday afternoon ordered on Uber Eats. Two Chicken sandwiches (The Sando) and a 3 tenders and fries. The chicken sandwiches were pretty good. The chicken was nicely seasoned-could use a touch more, the veggies were fresh, the bread (potato bun) was really good. It held the sandwich all the way through and didn't break up. I got mine medium so it wasnt too spicy, but overall was cool. The chicken tenders were for my kid- he got them country (no spice). The chicken was solid- same as the Sandos, it could use a bit more seasoning but overall decent chicken. My biggest gripe was the wait and the fries. It took quite a while for my order to be ready and the restaurant wasn't that crowded. Maybe 4 people in the store and possibly a car in drive-thru lane. Yet, when we received the fries they were cold. I went back in and the team was nice enough to provide newer fries and they were warmer, but not much better. My last issue was the sheer amount of fries provided. There are so few given to the customers. When you look at the pictures on the site they show a healthy amount of fries, but what was provided in the order didn't even scratch that surface. I didn't take pics of the fries-too underwhelmed, but... Please do better. read more

I dined at Birdcode around 4pm, and I was the only customer. I ordered mild codebites, Mac and cheese and a soda. They didn't have chicken ready, so I had to wait a few minutes for fresh ones, which was not a problem. Once my food was ready, they brought it to my table. My mild code bites were nicely spiced and the chicken was cooked perfectly and moist. I didn't love the spice coating because I thought it was too dry. I did like the sauce. The next time I think I'll get "country" style, without the spice dust. The real standout here was the side of Mac & cheese. The twisty elbow pasta held a lot of that amazing cheese sauce. They take a long time and multiple employees Ignore me when I'm at the window even though I order one thing and I'm the only one in line and there's no one else inside. Almost everything I got at bird code was good. The french fries are crinkle cut, crisp and hot. More places should use crinkle cut fries because they're the best. The chicken was hot, juicy, and the outer breading was crispy. I got the mild which was fairly spicy for mild, but the main complaint I have is they cover the chicken with a mixture of spices. Now most people would say, hey that's a good thing, but in reality it's like eating a powdered doughnut. This mix covers your lips and tongue and it's not a pleasant experience. If you could get just the chicken without the spices I would totally recommend this but with the spiced coating it is not something I enjoy eating. The food is good for fast food but the service is bad. The code bites are good but it seems like they aren't very consistent with their heat recipes. Sometimes mild is perfect and other times it seems like they accidentally gave us medium (which maybe they did!) The fries are excellent because they are salty and crispy. I love their Mac and cheese too! But unfortunately they rarely get your order right. In my two experiences going here they have missed putting an item in my bag both times. My partner has gone here more times than I have and agree they often mess up his order. They have been polite and gave the missing items but that's just too often for this to happen. read more

This restaurant offers a drive through or in house dining. It reminds me of an upscale chick fil a. We tried the chicken hot honey combo meal along with the mild chicken sandwich combo. Both sandwiches had a very juice chicken breast and fresh bun. The hot chicken with honey was hot but not super hot like the staff portrayed. The French fries that came with the combo were fried to perfection room with extra crisp and an amazing cheese sauce that costs .99 extra but is worth it. Service is still a bit shaky as its first or second week of opening. The ice tea was brewed very well This is not a place you doing you would like to eat light. Three of us descended upon here on a hungry Friday. The local HS football team also made an appearance before we did, so it was a gaggle of teenagers scarfing sandos amongst families this evening. We ordered tenders with fries, Sando combo, and kids meal. Seating was interesting - steel top tables were built into a center dividing wall, with similar tables along a back wall as well. Graffiti really drew your eyes up into the tall ceilings. Really funny as the building used to be an HSBC bank branch. It's fast casual so you can roll up to order and wait for your food at a table - they call out your name and bring your food to you. We had to wait 20 mins but not too bad; not the restaurant's fault that they had to feed an army (of teenagers). I'm a fan of spicy, so my mild chicken sandwich was tasty and flavorful. Loved how the chicken was battered and crispy on the outside without being dry and tasteless in the middle. I got a legit sized chicken breast in my sandwich. Slaw and pickles balanced it out nicely. Hubby and seven year old got the "country" style with no spice and enjoyed their chicken as well. Kiddo scarfed the nuggets before I could take a photo so I think it's a good vote. I would've appreciated having napkins and utensils available for grabs at a communal counter or something - we had to go up and ask for more of both as the chicken was a bit messy to eat. Cheese sauce was decent and comeback sauce is spicy/tangy/sweet. The comeback is... Sriracha? Sweet chili sauce? Something like that with a creamy texture. we ordered this meal through doordash so we did not get the full experience of eating it fresh. by the time we received the food, it was room temp and the milkshake was pretty much melted. the favor of the chicken was good. the spice level of the medium was a nice amount and it paired well with the sauces. however the bread of the sandwich was like a sponge for oil. the buns were red and soggy from soaking up the oil. the fries were crispy but on the saltier side. although it was melted, the milkshake was still enjoyable! the bottom of the boxes were soaked with oil, which got all over the table. read more

Went here for the first time this week & give it 3 stars. I ordered the chicken tenders, medium heat, & a side of hot honey via the drive thru. I had asked how many tenders are in an order and was told 4. It came out to a total of $14 which included tax. When I received my order, I checked if my order was complete and saw only 3 tenders. So I asked the cashier if that was a mistake and he hesitantly told me he got it wrong, that it wasn't 4, just 3 per order... $14 for 3 tenders & a small packet of hoy honey?! Seems incredibly overpriced. The tenders were cooked well & weren't dry which was great, but I was disappointed in the flavor. The medium was almost inedible because it was SO SPICY and I am someone who enjoys spice! I gave a tender to my husband & he also couldn't eat it because it was so spicy. He thought I got extra spicy. Spiciness is subjective but I'm pretty sure most people would agree the medium here is more like extra spicy. I will probably go back in the next few months to try the combo with the sandwich, fries & drink that the other reviews rave about because they appear to be better value but my first experience wasn't great. read more

As a lover of hot spicy foods and Nashville chicken sandwiches, I really wanted to try BirdCode. My wife and I had lunch there today. I had the chicken sandwich (medium hot) and she had the chicken nuggets (mild). We were stunned how much salt was in the fried spice batter mix. The most salty briny flavor I ever tasted. It was so bad, we took our forks and scraped off the fried spice batter. Not kidding. We could barely eat it. Just as we were about to leave, a young man who just finished his meal walked out the front door and puked his entire meal all over the front entry way sidewalk. He and his father were embarrassed and horrified at the reaction he had. He said he ate the medium hot style. This is a true story. I really wanted it to be great. But their food is not edible.
