i went to the kfc on richards ave in norwalk ct and had the worst experiences. everything i tried to order the cashier says were all out. "i went at 8:15pm". 7/28/25. then when i asked if i could switch extra crispy for certain originals he told me "no". i got so many no's that i drove to the window and asked for the manager! and the cashier and another associate said she's unavailable shes in the bathroom. i said i'd wait. they then walked 5 steps behind the stove ovens and told the manager that was standing on the far left and she walked to the window in the black jacket. so in other words the cashiers got caught in another lie!!! it was horrible. the manager personally had to make our request and we had to wait 10 minutes for her to complete it. "never again" popeyes here we come. read more

Been at this site 3 different times. Two out of the 3 food was ok service a bit slow. Today is was the killer. After 20 mins of waiting and the drive thru guy looking at me. I asked for a refund. They always seem very disorganized. Even though no one was ahead of us when we got there, we waited about 10-15 minutes before anyone even took our order. The young lady who took our order was kind of rude. Luckily, before I left, I counted the pieces of chicken in my order because I would have gotten less than I paid for. When I informed them about the discrepancy, it seems that they didn't have any more cooked chicken and we would have to wait an additional15 minutes. I feel like instead of letting me know that they had to cook more chicken, they gave me an incomplete order because they didn't expected me to check my order before leaving. Writing a review on a KFC may seem silly and unnecessary, because "it's just fast food" and "they're all the same" would be what most people are thinking, but I wanted to communicate what I experienced to be an almost 180 degree turn in service...for the absolute better. I don't eat at KFC too often, maybe 4 or 5 times a year, at most. The first time I ate at this store was about 6 or 7 years ago when I had moved to the southwestern CT area. Around 1 or 2 PM that day, there was a gentleman in front of me asking for something for his order, and the unbelievably rude woman behind the counter started arguing with him, to the point of being insulting and saying "go elsewhere if you don't like it." Since he had already paid but hadn't received his food yet, he demanded his money back. And rightly so. The rude order-taker then said she had to "get her manager" to refund his money. The manager came out and started to be nasty to this customer as well. She told him "he had no right to be mean to her employees." I couldn't believe it, and, apparently the people behind me in line couldn't either. They left, as did I, before that gentleman's "transaction" ever finished. To this day, I still wonder how that was resolved and if he ever spoke to upper management or corporate about the treatment he received. It was appalling to say the least. For years I never went near that restaurant because of this. I can't remember how many years ago (3 or 4, maybe?) I saw a big sign on that store as I drove past it that said it was "under new management." I remember laughing to myself and thinking "it couldn't possibly be worse." And I still avoided the store. Two years ago, I was craving fried chicken, and was coming back from picking up some items at the WalMart that's right across the street from it. So I figured, why not, I'll drive-through and see what it's like. The young lady at the drive through was very pleasant over the microphone and in person. At the window she said "To confirm, you ordered xyz, correct, sir?" I confirmed and at the end of the transaction she said, "if you could go to our website and fill out this questionaire on our service, we'd really appreciate it." I probably should have, but I was still cautious at this point. I figured it might have been coincidence that I had good service that day. Every time I've been back to this store, I've had similar experiences. The staff seems polite, even at busy times, and the transactions are pleasant. One time that really stands out for me is when at the end of an order one time, the young lady on the microphone said "would you like to donate $1 for (a certain hunger charity, I can't remember the exact one)" and I said I'd donate $5 (I usually donate something at these point-of-sale initiatives). At the window she thanked me saying "that was generous of you, sir." While it certainly wasn't a Bill Gates or Rockefeller type of generosity, I thought the acknowledgement itself was very nice of her, indeed. I have a hard time believing that I was just "lucky" over the last two years in having good service every time I've been there. Sure, I may not eat there very often, and some might argue I'm not a reliable statistical sample, but it seems more than coincidence that each and every time I've been there, the staff has been pleasant. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars, is that a couple times the service was on the slow side. But I'll gladly live with slightly slower service if it means my order is always right and the people working there are nice. Some people might laugh at this review and say "well, that's how restaurants are SUPPOSED to treat their customers," and I'd agree with that. But it's just how much this place has changed that warranted my review. read more

KFC - No one working Now a 40 minute wait for food - Chicken Wings Near Me - Norwalk, Connecticut

NOPE! KFC got my order wrong tonight (I don't normally go there but my husband says it's not unusual for them). They forgot to add a bunch of sides. I called to let them know and to ask for a partial refund for the cost of the sides. After carelessly being hung-up on twice and holding for 15 mins., the representative informed me that the only way I could have a refund would be to return to the restaurant, which is RIDICULOUS!! I don't live in the same town, they made the mistake, and I'm supposed to be penalized for it? Take another 40 mins out of my day to go back and forth to get the money I gave them, for nothing? This place needs to read a customer service manual, or at least give their employees the discretion to assist an unhappy customer when they know the restaurant is in the wrong. No thanks. read more

I Don't go to KFC often and I now know why. This place is horrible. There were 2 customers in there screaming. One lady wanted money back for using her credit card and another guy wanted condiments. This is the worst kfc i have ever been to. Customer service is atrocious. I came here a while ago and was double charged for my meal. When the girl noticed she double charged me (which i did not know) she said sorry, your receipt is not printing. I figured it was no big deal. I later realized I was double charged. Today i came here with my dad so he could get some chicken and a pot pie. The lady literally paused half way through our order to talk to another employee (which we could hear) then rudely was like "hello, did you want original or crispy?!" Girl how is someone gonna answer you when you are clearly in a conversation with someone else!!!! We got home just now and after asking if everything was in one bag we did not get our pot pie. Like, the girl could have checked instead of being super rude and just rushing us through. There was not even anyone else there waiting! I understand some people are not happy at their jobs, i have not been happy at some jobs that I have had but you can not EVER take that out on the customers! read more

Even though it's just a another KFC, THIS STORE is one of the best I have ever been to!! Fantastic staff, they were very friendly. Worked very fast, and even suggested better deals on the family meals' Next time we get the urge to pickup some chicken we are going back to thus store. read more

KFC never fails to impress me. The chicken, the wings, the biscuits, and the wedges were just made of high quality which my friends and I could eat for hours on end. But one comment for them to take into consideration. Why is the place so small? I found it a little bit of a hassle to improvise for the limited seating available. I love KFC! Their fried chicken is always amazing, as well as all of their sides (especially the mashed potatoes). The employees here have also always been beyond friendly and helpful! The only criticism I have (which is related to the chain, not this individual store), is that they should keep the Nashville spicy chicken, rather than it only being an occasional special. read more

Haven't been to KFC in awhile and today reminded me why-my sons wanted to go so I said why not....place was filthy and gross. Nothing is out where you need them-no napkins, condiments, forks etc. Had to ask for everything as none of these were provided with my order despite there being an obvious need for utensils etc. Bathrooms run down and dirty. I came here on 10/27/17. Me and my mom ordered a 8 piece bucket with double cole slaw and a tender basket. we were told to wait on the side for four minutes supposedly because they didn't have enough crispy. It took 20 minutes. When it arrived everything was shoved into one bag. the coleslaws weren't closed all the way and coleslaw juice got over everything we ordered. it does not matter if you spend $10 or $100 here. your going to get terrible service either way. Cant wait till it gets shut down and they open up something good with competent managers and staff. Because of tonights experience 5 fans of KFC will never be coming to this location again.. if your reading this review before going there. DONT! you will be disappointed if you do read more

If you are old enough to remember when KFC first served "extra crispy" read on. I was really excited to here that KFC had brought back this item. I used to get regularly until they discontinued. I don't think I've been in a KFC more than a hand full oft imes since. My excitement turned to disappointment quickly on visiting this KFC. The sides were great, the help is very friendly, BUT,,,,this is nothing like the "extra crispy" of yesteryear. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, very moist and meaty, but hardly disernable from "original recipe". Oh well! read more

I can't understand what has happened to this place since new management took over. The menu has changed and no longer includes many basic meals. The meat size is not that of any chicken I've ever seen. And worst of all, it seems that yesterday's leftovers are re-fried and, in my experience today, burnt and dry. If only I lived closer, I would have brought the whole shebang back for a refund. Don't waste your money on this one but, if you must have chicken, try the one on Rte.1 instead. Hi, I don't know how to give negative starts here, this store doesn't deserve even single star. I went there yesterday with my wife. We generally like going KFC and have been many KFCs in different countries as well but this one is the worst I have ever seen out of hundreds of KFCs. Staff was so rude, lady who took my order, first she forgot to give me my food. I waited 15 mins and I asked her where my food is? Then she realized and started working on that, with my meal she gave me two napkins (that brown small one). With smiling face I asked her "Could you please give me few more napkins"? She replied with big "NO" and in insulting tone, she said 'we just give one napkin per customer, as customers are taking napkins to home. I said C'on who'll take these cheap napkins to home if you give them 3-4? KFC chicken is generally very oily and it's defiantly requires more napkins if you like hygiene. KFC should change management of this location, they are really spoiling name of this nice food chain. read more
