Our group ended up having dinner at Caboose lounge from our driver who actually lives in Palmer…read more The restaurant wasn't busy but by it being in a small town, a group of 24 could have overwhelmed them but it did not. They have a large choice of food items and they serve breakfast all day. We ordered corn fritters w honey butter to try. They were amazing! I had two and could have eaten more but my dinner hadn't come out yet. I ordered the Halibut fish & chips. I was impressed how tasty they were. Perfectly fried and seasoned well. The tartar sauce was good. The cole slaw was okay so I tried the potato salad which was better. Overall great meal! Since we had a large party, they ran out of desserts before I had a chance to order. The 17 kids in the group were able to get order desserts, the adults did not. No worries. The trip was for the kids.

But so many options makes the possibilities feel almost endless. The bacon is crispy. If you like your bacon chewy, maybe ask for it that way. I like mine crispy and it's been that way EVERY SINGLE TIME. YAY! - - THE DOWNSIDE The decaf coffee is not great. I've had it three times and I think it's instant coffee, maybe? Whatever it is, it's bad. In a state with so much great coffee, this seems like a point that shouldn't be bad. Sigh* The over medium eggs are really over easy. This is a bummer. The diner of Alaska that can make me true over medium eggs will forever earn my patronage. - - Conclusion It's okay the coffee is bad, because they had a porter on tap which was almost like drinking an iced coffee. At least that's what I'm going with. =]

It was only a matter of time before we finally got to this side of town to visit their 2nd location. 907Alehouse took over a building that used to be a taco place (we never got to visit), and before that I believe it was a Firetap Alehouse second location. It's the perfect size bar/restaurant. Very clean and bright inside. Extra long booths for families and some tables in the middle section with a really nice bar area off to the side. Large TV's hang on the walls for sports games. Both the food and drink menus are noticeably smaller here. The brew/local tap selection is a lot smaller at this location. They serve some mixed bowls here that they don't at Old Seward, but they were able to accommodate special requests we made such as "chowder fries." Service was superb here. Food came out fast and hot. They had a special holiday drink menu that I quite enjoyed. We can't wait to return for a sports breakfast someday.

My daughter also loved her kids meal (chicken teriyaki rice bowl). I appreciated that the kids meal had something besides fish sticks and chicken nuggets. We sat outside and loved the weather. Service was still great even though we were the only ones outside when we first sat down.

Floaters has a large dining room that is separated by a short hall from the Pub Area. It has two entrances one for the restaurant and the other for the pub. This night was Steak and Prime Rib night until the kitchen runs out. The Prime Rib Dinner was very good and ample. The meat was cooked to perfection and great. The baked potatoes and vegetables were well prepared. The one waitress cover both the Pub and dining room had her job cut out for her and she was very busy. Although busy she was efficient and served us promptly. They also have Taco Tuesday that I am looking forward to trying. We all were pleased with our meals and will be turning for the Prime Rib Dinner again.

The prime rib was alright. It didn't have a alot of flavor, luckily it was served with some au jus, it was also full of gristles and nearly inedible because of that. The fries were fresh and green beans were just your typical canned green beans and not very flavorful. In all, was it worth $21.95, no. Will I be coming back? Probably not. Now if you're in the mood for anything else, their menu options are plenty. Ranging from sandwiches, burgers to even nachos. The waitress was lovely and very attentive. The place itself was very clean.
