Best lab ever! Sure, you pay $25 for the convenience, cleanliness and painless draw but it is well worth it. Even with an appointment at the other places, I wait forever and sometimes get pricked multiple times but I never wait more than 10 minutes here. I actually drive 30 minutes each way just to come to this lab where they draw for most labs, including specialty labs. read more

Dr sent me here for covid test. They said they don't bill insurance but then she said insurance is covering it and there is a 30 fee basically for walking in the door. No reason given for the extra fee other than a fee for doing the test. Never again!!! read more

Nobody has a greater fear of needles than I do. I was very hesitant about going in and having my blood drawn as I had several tests that had to be done. My first impression: I was amazed. The office was beautiful. They have a very nice drink station where you can get coffee tea hot chocolate and hot and cold water. I was greeted by Christine in a very pleasant way. The room where the draw station was Could be described as the most immaculate Pristine quarters! The chair was extremely comfortable- instead of having a wooden slat to put your arm on there were comfortable overstuffed armrests. I was amazed - feeling confident that this wouldn't be an unpleasant experience. The best thing about this place was the fact that the employees were super nice and super qualified!There was no pain when Amber hit the vein on the first try! I was amazed. To sum this up, I highly recommend Biotech. There is no better draw station to go to. They are very respectful nice and you will have a very pleasant experience doing a very unpleasant thing. read more

Biotex is an exceptionally well run office for drawing blood. Efficient and friendly. I have had all my testing for over 5 years.

All good things must come to an end and this is the end for me and Biotex. They are now charging $10. I asked why they are charging the patient and not the insurance and was told it's a service fee. So Biotex has now decided we will just accept paying more for services. Well I for one will not indulge them. Back to Quest I go and you should too. Our 14 month old son needed bloodwork for a cashew allergy and we were so nervous about taking him for lab work; he's a very active little boy. His allergist recommended we take him to Biotex as they are great with children, toddlers and infants. OH MY GOSH!!!! My husband and I were blown away. This facility is top of the line, extremely clean, inviting and calm. We were taken back right away and there were 2 techs who assisted us. I sat with my son on my lap, one tech held his arm gently and the butterfly needle went in... not a PEEP from my boy! He didn't even flinch. All of our worries were for nothing. The entire 2 minute process could not have gone any better. We are SO HAPPY we found Biotex and will be coming here from now on. For someone with rolling veins, having blood drawn can be a painful experience in the wrong hands. Technicians are almost always successful on the first try. My doctor told me about this place as I'm a big baby when it comes to getting blood work done. They really made me feel comfortable. I was able to lay down and they have soothing music on and a tv monitor on the ceiling to watch scenic pictures. It was painless and I was in and out in less than 15 mins. If you live in Ventura County and need lab work done, Biotex is the place to go. The staff is top notch. They are completely on it, professional, pleasant. Their office is clean, with plenty of seating, added bonus they have coffee, water and candy :-). They a not so pleasant task smooth, comfortable and affordable. I have horrible insurance and they take the time to educate me on the best lab processing option including the pricing and they make sure your lab specimens are handled properly by the processing labs. They are friendly. They are fast. The office is beautiful as everyone else on here stated. I would recommend them also, because they draw just about any and every test a doctor ordered. What a lovely place to get lab work done! The office is immaculate, with modern decor. The staff, both front desk and phlebotomists, are kind, respectful and professional. I went during morning hours as a walk in and waited 5 minutes. I felt like I was at a spa, not a lab! They use butterfly needles so it's more comfortable, although I have good veins. Well I wish I could review this place but unlike the google site says they are not open 7:30-4 they close for lunch and maybe this was googles fault but when I approached the door as they were leaving for lunch to tell them they had an issue all I got was attitude. They asked for my insurance card and dr.'s order. Then they asked me to pay for a 10.00 service fee? I've never been asked to pay for anything outside my insurance besides co-pay, and this isn't a co-pay. And they said it's for excellent service. Really? I have never heard such a thing. I had a blood draw there this week and it hurt the entire time. I never had pain like this during a draw. My arm burned and hurt when i bent it afterwards. I called there office and they put me on hold. When I called there office back they said they were on the phone with my doctor and told my doctor to tell me to use ibruprofen and ice. It's been 3 days and my arm still burns. read more
