My experience was horrendous! I specifically told the Phlebotomist, that there were 7 blood tests ordered, because for some reason, they each came individually, and an advisor at quest, told me to tell them. So, the end result was, 2 crucial tests, not being done and the most painful, blood draw, in my 77 years. Also, my arm is still bruised and sore. I was told to bring some fecal samples and when I went there the window was closed. only a little iPad to check in. The iPad only gave options to make an appointment which the soonest was in 2 days or wait. My sample were supposed to remain frozen. There was no option for a drop off. Only for new testing. Ive been waiting for an hour and so far all 3 employees refused to take the sample until their computer tells them too. Still waiting. While I was waiting in the room I met plenty of elderly people who had a hard time using the iPad and was confused. So I offered to help because I'm one of those people you don't see around here anymore. One person kept knocking on the door and when they finally answered, she told them that they drew her blood over a week ago and their system still doesn't show they received it. 2 out of the 4 employees that work there are nice. read more

I was really nervous because I have had bad experiences getting my blood drawn at a Quest before. Cody took my blood and he was so awesome. Im prone to fainting, so I was able to lay down and he chatted with me to take my mind off the process. He also explained anything i was confused about. I have been here twice and both times I did not have an appointment although I do recommend making one since I waited for a little over an hour the first time. Even though I did have a bit of a wait they gave me a heads up when I checked in on the kiosk so I knew what to expect. When I did get called back they were so nice to me and did a diligent job as well as making me feel comfortable and safe. The second time I went in I went just before they closed and to my surprise there was nobody in the waiting room! Yay! I got seen pretty much right away and the guy was so nice. 2/2019 Gotta update my 4 star review from 6/2017 to a 1 star simply because they botched my blood drawing AGAIN. I have very prominent veins and this time the nurse tried one arm, then another arm and then needed an additional person to complete it. It was evident by watching the second nurse that she was more skilled and confident for sure. No thanks- next time I will ask for the most qualified person on site if I ever go back again not that I probably ever will. 6/2017 Having blood drawn is never fun, chances are you will be fasting and or you are not well; with all that compiled your patience may be running thin, etc. I have been to this location probably 4-5 times over a 4-5 year period and here is my advice.....if you are a walk in get there early, they open at 7.00 am and there is generally a few people waiting at 6.45am. I got there this morning at 6.50am, the door opened at 7.00 am sharp, I registered and there were two people ahead of me and I was called at 7.12 am and out of there by 7.30am. You can make an appointment but I personally don't feel it's necessary. There were two staff members there this morning and they were both pleasant and professional, as a matter of fact I don't think they have ever been rude, maybe not overly pleasant but not rude. Clinic is clean and organised. Make your own experience that much better by getting there early and know that you may have a wait. 4 stars because the girl taking my blood today did a number on arm and I have the most prominent veins ever- it happens. I still have quite a bit of anxiety regarding blood draws and she was very reassuring and helped ease my fears. I had to pickup a stool sample kit for my son. The woman gave me incorrect instructions as well as the wrong kit which I found out the next day when I took time off of work yet again, to go through the entire check in process and wait time just to drop off a sample. No "I'm Sorry" just "oh, well you'll have to do the samples all over again and come back again to drop them off." And again, no written instructions . I had to ask her to please write something down so we have clear instructions since the day before we were givenincorrect instructions. So she wrote a couple of words down on a post it. Hardly a professional way to provide instructions for a sample that requires different instructions for a few of the tests. Awful experience with incompetent personnel working there. read more

It is very difficult to talk to a human being at Quest. You have to make all appointments through a computer. When you get to your appointment, you have to Sign in on a tablet that has poor instructions. I found the phlebotomists who work there to be rude, unfriendly and unhelpful, when you finally see one after waiting in the waiting room. Plus, it's not clean enough. read more

This place is a joke! It was a rainy day and my usual Quest place was closed so I thought I'd try this place next to my house. No one is at the desk. You check in with a kiosk. I was fasting so I had a question about how long the wait would be. Once I used the kiosk it assigned me a time 5 hours later. I tried to cancel that because again I was fasting and there is no way to do. So I tried to call to cancel and I was transferred to the national number and that message told me to go online. read more

Trained monkeys could do a better job. Multiple women in the back just standing around talking when their behind on "appointments" and there is half a dozen people sitting around waiting. Not to mention their just bad at drawing blood. Left a huge bruise. One of the most painful blood draws I've ever had. Topped off by having to sit and wait for over 30mins while they saw one patient at a time despite multiple people "working". I will never use this place again. Great care once you get your name called. One thing if possible is to bring in another Kiosk stand for people to show that they have arrived. Their is only one Kiosk stand and 5 people were waiting and there is quiet a few questions, even though I gave all my information prior to my appointment on their Quest website! Took my mother here for lab work. Very rude female tech, acted like she was doing us a favor. Hesitant to answer questions, terrible mood, acted like she fell out of the wrong side of the bed. Then when you try to get results after setting up an account on line they say they are having tech/maintenance issues for a few weeks (huh/what???). But rest assured the recording says they'll send results to the doctor. If you call their office you can't get a live person rather a loop and recommendation to call your doctor. If you have rude or no employees to help, you should at least be able to access results on line / website. Will never use them again for my mother or myself. Now I know why everyone keeps saying they hate Quest. read more

They had me fax a lab order over...fax never came through even though I sent it several times. Then, I emailed the lab order to one of the staffs emails and it worked...she printed it out but couldn't understand the simple request for bloodwork. Just remember that when you come here they simply DO NOT CARE about customer service. My advice is there are many quest places around LA and Ventura county, so choose another one for your sake. read more

I signed in and I watched my name on the screen ( with my wait time ) go from fifteen minutes to zero minutes and back to 10 more minutes 8 times !! People that waited to be texted when their time came up , they tech opens the door and calls their name , no text , and they wait for hours! The worst lab experience, I've ever seen ! I had labs drawn today for the 1st time at this Quest. I usually try to make an appointment with my previous labs draws when I had gone to other Quest locations (in the West Valley). I had quickly learned making appointments was the way to go to save time waiting as there as a lot of walk-ins. Newbury park is no different, but the process is smooth, at least at opening mid-week (7:00am). Even at opening there were ppl waiting outside for techs to open. Anyway, this Quest has 2 check-in computers, takes less than a minute to punch in name, d.o.b., if you have an appt and if you have drop off or lab. I was the 5th person in line and was drawn no more than 10min after I arrived. The tech was nice, and process of her data entry and draw was quick and painless. I was waiting at this quest lab for 34 minutes. At check in, I was told there were two people ahead of me, but I noticed that those who came after me were serviced. I asked the lady at the desk "why is it taking so long and several people that came after me were helped." She started searching for my paper work again. Couldn't find a copy of my insurance card (which I provided her at check in already). Then she was searching for my orders again. It was annoying. unfortunately, I had a bad experience. This review is long overdue. Due to some health issues I unfortunately have to have my blood drawn often. I have beCome accustom to the various levels of pain depending on the skills of whom was working that day. In the Newbury Park location a floater from Simi Valley was working and she was absolutely hands down the best yet! I felt nothing... nothing! And I am considered a hard stick. The next time I am due for bloodwork it is well worth the drive to Simi Valley.
