If more stars were possible, this business would have all of them and the some more. Upon entering one cannot help but notice the immaculate environment and soothing music. Christine's calm welcoming voice is delightful especially when one is fasting and it's early morning. When taken into the lab room, the chair is comfortable and immediately I noticed a large screen with images of swimming fish. I asked Christine if the use of a butterfly was possible for the draw to reduce bruising when she told me that they exclusively use butterflys there. What a huge relief! Blood was drawn effortlessly, a wrap was applied as Christine instructed me to keep the wrap on for at least 30 minutes. I did as I was instructed and has no bruising or discomfort. Sure happy to have found this lab! Highly recommend, this place is as good as it gets. Ample free parking out front. read more

Had to get a blood draw a couple of times for my 4-year-old son and the staff was excellent. Both staff members helped with the draw to make sure everything went smoothly and he was comfortable. They were very accommodating, gentle, and sweet to my son. They got his blood first try and let him pick the color of his bandage and we were on our way. We called a couple of highly rated mobile services because we thought it would be better but they were expensive, unaccommodating, and actually more inconvenient. After trying multiple Quest locations with no success, my pediatrician recommended Biotex--and I'm so glad I listened. They were able to draw blood from my 12-month-old on the first try! The staff was calm, gentle, and clearly experienced with babies (she did say she used to be a pediatric phlebotomist. They had an assistant to help hold him still, which made things way less stressful. The office was clean, neat, and we were seen quickly--no long wait at all. Honestly such a relief after the frustration elsewhere. Highly recommend for anyone needing lab work for their little one! read more

I love coming here to get blood drawn. It is truly a gem of a service business. In this day and age where almost nothing is customer friendly, Biotex an oasis in the desert of services businesses! All their staff is wonderful. Never busy. I have always been taken back to the blood draw room right away. The waiting room is very cool. Modern, comfortable, serene and has coffee and a cool flat screen with nice video images. Cindee at the front desk is just the greatest. She always greets me with a smile and is so kind, pleasant, helpful and treats me like a friend. She is such a pleasure to speak with every time I visit and get to interact with her. The phlebotomists are fantastic. Efficient, kind, thoughtful, very competent and we have interesting brief discussions. I just cannot recommend Biotex in TO enough. I almost don't want this special place to get out there because I want to keep it my secret. I actually look forward to visiting them since I know I will have such a hassle free and easy time. I've only had, at most, one person ahead of me every time I have visited. I remember the horrible days of the cattle call at Quest. Holy moly talk about worse than the DMV. Stellar care and speed. I had an appointment at Quest but was really early because I had to fast. After 30 minutes of waiting it looked like I may still have to wait another hour at least. This is the Only place I will ever get my blood drawn at! The people drawing your blood are always nice and kind. They prick your skin to draw your blood and you don't even feel it. They always get it the first time. Little kids they can always get it the first time as well. It's always neat & clean in there. They have up art work on the walls that is beautiful. You can have candy and coffee on the way out with a friendly smile from them. This is Biotex not Quest although the lab work is sent out to Quest like everyone else does it. Liked using biotex before but recently they've been sending my specimens to a different lab that I didn't authorize. My Doctor gave me a quest order and they've decided on their own to send it to their preferred lab. They should go with what the lab order says it is for. This wasn't an issue before. My doctors office isn't contracted with the lab that they're using therefore my doctors office doesn't get the results l. It's very frustrating. Will have to start using a different lab. read more

I went to Quest for a three hour pre-natal blood test. Quest was closing early and didn't have time for me. Disappointed I was about to "waste" a morning of fasting (a lot harder when seven months pregnant) I remembered that a few doors down was Biotex. I went here earlier in my pregnancy for a specify blood draw that only certain clinics can do. Christine, the owner CEO, was so accommodating! She agreed to stay open for me to accommodate my three hour test! The atmosphere is so inviting and relaxing! Also, it's not much more than Quest, cost-wise. From now on I'm telling my Dr. to ONLY send my blood work orders to Biotex. read more

Our usual places to get blood draws from are UCLA and Quest, my wife's doctor had the order to get blood work done at Biotex, this is the 2nd time they have done it and the first time we ignored it and went to UCLA Health and our coinsurance was higher. After some research Biotex just does the blood draw and then was going to send it the lab out of state. Our insurance covers that lab facility and since that lab uses Biotex as an in-network provider. So my wife gets very anxious with blood draws, we arrived on a Saturday morning when they open and there were 4 people ahead of us. The intake was very quick by the front desk and we were taken in the room, the tech was very nice and made quick work of the blood draw and we were all done in about 25 min. Well, let me fill you in: *Plentiful parking - you park under a shady grove of trees mere steps from the building. There are even people who will wash and detail your car in the parking lot! *Beautiful building - Biotex's office space lies on the first floor of Rolling Oaks Plaza. Glass doors open to a peaceful, welcoming waiting room with comfy leather chairs, purple orchids, and beautiful nature scenes playing on a flatscreen TV. Once the phlebotomist calls your name, you're brought back into one of the private rooms; each has a fancy shmansy patient chair and another flatscreen TV with a loop of nice, distracting images of baby animals to watch...unless you prefer to stare at the blood oozing out of your arm. *Superb staff - everyone here (at least when I visited) was kind and professional. The woman at the front desk greeted and helped each patient in a friendly, efficient way. There is very little wait time until you're called back. The phlebotomist that treated me was fabulous - nice and gentle, found my vein easily on the first attempt. Whew! *Speedy service - come on in during business hours - no appointment necessary! Between check-in, paperwork, and giving 4 vials of blood, I was in and out in a cool 10 minutes. Biotex runs like a well-oiled machine! Pros: They provide services for pretty much any kind of specimen / blood test that you can think of. When your older than dirt, your doctor wants blood and sometimes other samples tested every 6 or 12 months typically just to verify your still alive, I think ??? Anyway, this was a small time office in the across the street complex for about eight years and now is in new office with upgraded nuance and space. The staff is essentially the same plus a couple - they are absolutely super !!! If and when you need blood work (every 6 months for us), this is the very best of service and efficiency. They treat you with warm pleasant charm and are very good at the job - make getting stuck with a needle an ok thing. But now on to Coffee - they make you fast before drawing blood - so come early, they open at 7:30 AM. read more

If you need a Covid test, in my opinion you should go elsewhere. You might think that the $25.00 they are going to charge you is the charge for the test but it isn't. It's the charge for them to collect your sample. But by law, all charges for Covid testing should be free. Yep. There should be no charge for anything at all. None. Nada. So many other places understand this like urgent care centers, other lab draw facilities that do the nasal sample, etc. You could do a little phone shopping...Are a few calls enough to save you 25 bucks (which could be a tank of gas or a good lunch/dinner or something else) or do you prefer to fight with your insurance carrier for days on end? I am presently dealing with breast cancer and need blood draws monthly. I live in Torrance and visit my friend in TO whenever I can. She told me about Christine and Biotex since I needed my monthly lab work. Although I've been through a lot this past few years I am still deathly afraid of this and don't even sleep the night before.
