Even though I had to get re stuck a couple times (my veins are deep and not easy, they do a great job and when there is an issue its normally my insides that are to blame!) I don't know how this company stays in business with all their questionable practices and high school drama. If you want to wait in line for 90 minutes and get treated like garbage, this is the place for you. As far as I can tell, there is almost no oversight and state health regulations are more of a suggestion than an actual protocol. It's really quite shocking. read more

I haven't given my first donation yet. My debut will be tomorrow. No place is perfect and although the comments I just read may make the author feel better...give it another chance. It's a new year and there is absolutely no place anywhere in the world that has the staff necessary right now wherever you go. What makes you "unhappy" with a business, is just constructive for the staff. What you experienced may not have been quite to your liking then may be the boost that they needed. I have been donating at this location for almost a year now. The employees do not care! They show no compassion for anyone and 3 out of 10 times they are looking for something to defer someone. The wait times are well over 3 hours. No it is not covid - that's just an excuse. I have friends that go to Biolife and they are out within 2 hours at most. To this day I have not had one staff member try to communicate with me in anyway to try to build any type of customer relations. I have numerous friends who have been deferred for something as simple as their machine not registering a blood pressure. Just recently I was deferred for having a tongue ring. The same tongue ring I have had for almost 15 years. I was told it was my fault as I did not put it on my original paperwork. That is not true it was on my paperwork more importantly if it was not then why was it not caught the other 50 plus times I have donated, including two days prior to this donation. Then to top if off I call in today to speak to a manager. Of course I was only able to speak to an Assistant. My plasma is not important enough to speak to an actual Manager. Then now I am banned because the nurse accused me of profanity. Seriously! You are going to ban me because of profanity! You are going to not save 3 lives for every donation that I could give a pint? I am 51 years old, I have a full time job, a home, a boat, a partner, two dogs and a family and I do this because I care, yet every day I went into this center I felt as if I was being looked down upon. To top it off this manager did not even ask me what happened. he took the nurses word for it and accused me of it. Not how were you treated, what happened or what is your side? Just your not allowed to ever come back here? This is absolutely heart breaking... to know a company that is suppose to be saving lives is more worried about their employees feeling than what actually happened to a customer who is there trying to assist in the saving of others. Its ok for me. I can wait my waiting period and start to donate again somewhere else. But truly I thought these companies were in for the right reason. The Menasha location of Grifols is a horrible place, too bad their corporate team is unaware of just how bad it is. Just maybe they will see this and become aware enough to stop by for a visit and see exactly what it is their customer are truly going through. read more

Donating plasma can be a process that some do not have the patience to endure. Know that a donor has to answer questions, get their vitals checked, and of course donate, each time. You will be among Biomat staff who are patient, helpful, and curtious. Music is usually playing which can make things more comfortable. There is free Wi-Fi. Even donating just twice a month can put money in your pocket that can make a big difference. Keith Kemp read more

I have donated over 24 gallons. Last week I was told my protein wasn't sufficient after a Spee test. I retested and the nurse told me "to call" for results. I called and was told I have to personally come in for my results...What is going on? Please give the donors concise and correct information. Sue Martin read more

I had not been to Biomat in Menasha to donate for over 6 months. I called after I booked my appointment because I wanted to see what I needed to do as far as my physical goes. I was told by a Devin (I believe) that I would need to come 15 minutes ahead of time to do my annual physical after he was looking at my records for quite some time. I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment and was told I would need to have a full blown physical just like a new donor and would need my social security card, etc. even though they have all that information on file. I obviously did not have any of that information with me because I was told it would be 15 minutes for my annual physical. Definitely go to Biolife instead, no matter how long you have been away it is a quick 15 minute review of your information and your done. Will never go back to Biomat again. Absolute waste of time. Would recommend going to Biolife because every time I have gone to Biomat the staff give me different information. Also, you spend a lot of time waiting because they are under staffed. The first appointment took me 3 hours and after donating I sat there waiting for 10 minutes with the needle in my arm. read more
