In Racine it started out good but now, wait time is long and the people jabbing u screw up so much so your deferred alot because they dont know whats up. Also once your deferred a dr has to ok you coming back and it can take forever. I went over to CLS and they are alot better at needle sticking. They dont have a schedule but wait time isnt bad and so far Ive had alot better luck. read more

The people are very nice. As a healthcare professional myself I see cross contamination every time I have gone in there. During the assessment, they leave the same gloves on that they just used on the previous person. I was told they only change them when they get soiled. When working with blood, they should be changed for every patient. They have accommodated me and changed their gloves when I ask them to. But while they are running my blood, they are setting up for the next patient with the same gloves that they just used on me. read more

Before I had issues with my protein I was making 360 a month base pay., now just recently we are only getting 20-60. Fequency bonus has also dropped $10 . Best time to go for me I found are Saturdays and Sundays. Durning the week I'll go before work around 12:30 pm, usually pretty slow, but they are kinda short on staff as well. The payment thing has gotten alot of people upset. yes its an important cause, but at the same time I value my time. at least we dont pay taxes on it. read more

Once, I had a tech setting me up, who self proclaimed she was "scared of needles," and then called on another tech because she was having a hard time with my arm. Lately I've had to sit and wait for up to 30 minutes for a bed to donate. Not sure why they take appointments, when they don't honor times. I try to fit donating in between other things and obligations. Sitting and waiting doesn't work for me. Not happy at all. Don't fill up the building with angry waiting people. read more

Poorly organized. Employees at night don't convey messages to the morning shifts. Employees don't know their butt from a hole in the ground. Would NOT recommend this to anyone. And if you do come, make sure to bring your first born. They will require that along with whatever else they tell you that you don't need. Then when you have no ride home and you life 12 miles away, they won't even let you speak to a manager or supervisor. Regardless of the fact they screwed up and wasted MY time. clean environment, nice staff, have been donating for about 3 years and always enjoy coming and leaving knowing my plasma can be put to good use for people who need it. The only thing I would say could use some improvement would to be keep up on the paper towel in the bathrooms cause there has been a few times its been empty and there isn't even at paper towel sitting on the sink ; other than that its a great place to donate. read more

My wife and decided to start donating a few months ago and have found BioLife to be a very professional, clean and friendly place. The staff are efficient and while getting poked with a needle is never a fun experience, they work hard to help you feel comfortable. We can usually get in and out in about an hour, but that really depends on how things "flow". You get paid immediately after donating (you're paid for your time, not the plasma itself) and if you go a second time during a week you get a $5 to $15 dollar bonus depending on promotions. It's really an easy way to help someone out, make a little extra cash, and spend an hour catching up on reading. read more

The douchebag who wrapped my bandage didn't wrap it tight enough (even though I asked him to wrap it tighter) and I ended up getting blood all over my clothes. While the money you make from donating plasma is very welcome, be wary of the openness and honesty of Biolife. Biolife does not put the customer first. They withhold information, will give you misinformation, and mislead you. I expected more from a medical facility. read more

I'm an EMT and it can be difficult at times to find a vein to stick. They have a policy that you must have 2 viable arms to use for the donation; this makes sense to me because they may have trouble with one arm and need the other so that your time and their time is not wasted. Every 6 months you must get a physical to make sure you are healthy enough to donate; well today was my next physical date. It is hard to find my vein on my left arm, so the first IV Tech could not find it (she looked for a while). The second lady was the rude one, The receptionist asked her if she could do the vein check initially but she said she was too busy and proceeded to sit there and do nothing... So when the lady that did my check the first time asked for a second opinion, she came over and maybe looked at my left arm for 10 seconds and rejected me... Now I can't donate for a very long time. I'm between jobs right now because of my internship this summer and I was counting on the continued income from donating plasm (like many college students). So then, I was sitting in the waiting area (as I was there with my wife waiting) with six chairs next to me and the same lady told me I needed to move so there would be room for the other people that came in... It was much more rude than it sounds... The only reason I gave this place second stars because they have been OK in the past. read more
