HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME!! I sat in this waiting room for over 3 hrs last week to be told I could not donate due to taking antihistamines. REALLY!? Clearly I had plenty of time to review ALL the REQUIRED info (in triplicate) to continue to the next step of the process. WRONG, I get to the physical and as I go to sign consent for the drug test, he flips over the sheet to reveal the extensive list of meds and OTC drugs that could give a false reading. SERIOUSLY!? YOU SHOW ME THIS NOW? DURING ALLERGY SEASON!? Where was this information in ALL the required paperwork I had to review and sign? He then threatened me with NEVER being able to donate again if i pop "positive." So after Howard assured me that we could resume the exam in a weeks time, I rescheduled. So ALL week no antihistamine during pollen season....MISERABLE!!! I arrive at 7am and I'm asked to sign in and take a seat. 20 min later I walk up and ask if I'm suppose to check in at the quiosk, yes she replies. I go to check in and it tells me to see the front desk. The girl had no clue what she was doing then hands me a clip board with all the paperwork AGAIN! Oh, no! I'm not about to go thru that entire process again so I request to see the manager and here comes Howard the supervisor. He proceeds to roll his eyes, huffing and puffing making a sceen at the front counter with his condescending disrespectful attitude. He then tells me that yes my paperwork was kept but I have to fill out everything AGAIN. What? So I ask to see the policy and again replies with disgusting attitude, "FINE! You really want to see it?!" My time is valuable as is everyone's however, I'm also giving my blood. The most precious gift you could give and I'm received like this...unacceptable. Once unable to produce the SOP policy i requested, he finally asked me to another room where he proceeds to verbally bully me with his superiority complex. I immediately stopped him and demanded that my time be respected and since it most certainly is not in this establishment, I will take my blood where it is appreciated. I regret that this pour excuse for a human being just killed someone that desperately needed my blood. Until I hear from Grifols I will assume that this is how they do business and thus BE WARNED. read more
