I was the only donor there with a staff of about 4-5 people; who were very friendly. Honestly, I would recommend the mobile bus any day over visiting here. The wait is longer, which I don't understand, because it's pretty empty. You literally have to make extra time to visit here and then they offer you a t-shirt. I was a little disappointed when I could have went down the street at the Walmart visit the Red Bus instead. My waiting time would be shorter and I would also receive 2 free movie tickets. I guess knowing that my donation helps someone else makes it all worthwhile. Another great benefit of donating is the mini check-up you receive. A great way to encourage people to visit the office location over the bus would be to offer a choice of freebies other than green ugly t-shirts. Just another way to appreciate donors and encourage more visitors

There was no one before me lol they didn't want me to donate or they didn't want to work that's for sure

My name is LD Bryant and I have been a plasma donor for six years. I was introduced to giving…read moreplasma by my nephew. At first, I thought it was just another way to make extra money however when I did my research on how my plasma saves lives it gave me a since of pride and joy that I am helping so many people. I now go there to help other people who needs my plasma to live a better life. The staff at the Longwood branch is awesome. The customer service is amazing, and Cassy and Cat are two of the most amazing ladies that I ever met in my entire life. These two ladies really and truly care about the donors. The complete staff is excellent, and I highly recommend anyone who want to make difference in the lives of other people to visit CSL PLASMA Longwood FL. Thank you CSL PLASMA LONGWOOD L D Bryant

The staff here is…read moregenerally decent--professional and polite, though like with most plasma centers, things can move at their own pace. Be prepared to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours total. Sometimes the check-in process actually takes longer than the donation itself, so a little patience is definitely required. Once you're back in the chair, the actual plasma draw usually goes smoothly. Overall, if you're looking to donate plasma and don't mind carving out a chunk of time from your day, this location gets the job done. Just plan ahead, bring something to read or watch on your phone, a jacket to keep you warm and know that the staff will take care of you. Remember to be patient with them.

Fighting for My Mother This Mother's Day…read more Today is Mother's Day, and I haven't been able to spend it with my mom, Maria. Instead, I've spent it drafting legal appeals to fight a nursing home discharge based on disputed "non-payment" -- even though I have bank proof that the certified check I delivered was never processed by the facility. My mother, who has advanced dementia, was admitted to Island Lake Center in September 2025 after hospitalization. Since then, I've documented: Failure to provide dementia-focused care or arrange neurology consults Premature Medicare termination despite ongoing skilled nursing needs Hygiene neglect -- I found her wearing another resident's clothes A certified check for $1,034.32 that I personally delivered, which the facility never deposited but claims as "non-payment" Refusal to provide basic billing records showing proper Medicare/Medicaid classification Navy Federal Credit Union confirmed my check was never negotiated. I've repeatedly offered to resolve the payment with proper documentation. Instead of reconciling the account, the facility issued a 30-day discharge notice. This isn't just about my mom. It's about: Families being pressured to pay disputed charges Vulnerable seniors with dementia being denied proper care Facilities using billing disputes to force transfers Guardians fighting for basic transparency and accountability I've filed formal complaints with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Long-Term Care Ombudsman. I'm appealing the discharge. And I'm speaking out because this happens to too many families who don't know their rights. If you or someone you love is in long-term care: Document everything in writing Know your appeal rights Report neglect to AHCA and the Ombudsman Don't be afraid to ask for records Praying for resolution and hoping to see my mom soon. #MothersDay #ElderCare #NursingHomeReform #DementiaAwareness #PatientAdvocacy #FloridaElderCare #GuardianshipRights #AHCA #LongTermCare
