Prior to this becoming Kedplasma I was a client.
Last week ( about two years later) I went to register as a donor. I was told that my government issues ID with my complete name and address was not acceptable form of ID.
It matched my drivers license. So after being ignored at the counter for the first 10 minutes, I was there I wasn't able to register.
I returned a few days later with a stamped verified letter from social security office that had my current address ( that matches all other documents) and was told that was not acceptable.
I ended up verifying with an electronic electric bill.
Finally made it through that agonizing process of rudeness with the employee and moved on to watch the video. The 20 minute video was over and I sat for another 20 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge that I have completed the video I went and did the login on the machine and have a seat , was called up to the counter where the employee decided to get in a verbal altercation with a client who was signing in to become a donor. Of course the anxiety in the vibe in the room raised everybody's blood pressure including mine so my blood pressure was too high. I proceeded to take a seat for a few minutes and they recheck my blood pressure only after I listen to the other employees talk about me to the first employee, at this point, I didn't even want to be there. Trying to do a good deed has turned into a nightmare because of the way the staff treats clients.
During the process they were carrying on a conversation among themselves about home security systems, and who leaves their kids home alone and how they watch the kids to the monitor while they work night shifts at different jobs and on and on and on .
In the end, I was not able to donate, but I did ask them what the donating fee was for new donors, and I was told I was not a new donor I was a returning donor bc I had been to that location prior to donate when it was a different company, and all my information was in the computer.
Moving forward from that if all my information was in the computer, why did I have to go through the hassle of showing all new documentation?
It had been two years and I never donated with Kedplasma and I never will.
I would highly suggest anybody who is interested in donating at this plasma center to look for another one. read more
