I was first treated with care...being a new donor, they practically rolled out the red carpet for me!!! The nurse was very nice and helpful and the process was wonderful!!! The next couple of times I came it slowly got worse...service was awful and they weren't as nice as the first time and these were not the same employees that were there for my first time but I still expect great service. This time I came and a woman named Liberty did my process. She was cold... not warm at all. She also mentioned that she didn't even work there which a professional should never say...she was working then and should have put in care as well!!! She shoved the needle in and I told her it was pinching she barely moved it and said I'd be okay... another woman came who was really nice and said she would help me and then another woman came to help as well as it started bleeding a little they said it was normal until the last sweetheart came and stopped the process for me and I really started bleeding out. So I guess it wasn't okay or normal heh?!? If it wasn't for the two sweethearts who helped me, I would not go back!!! These people aren't just druggies trying to get money for more drugs. Some people have extra bills to pay and families to help with the money they get plus, it helps lives so be nice!!! Everyone deserves nice treatment!!! Look at all these bad reviews! I used to go to the Joliet, IL facility who are very professional, place is clean, employees exceptionally awesome! I moved to Janesville, WI and they have a facility there. A supervisor went through my vein and went swishing around my muscle, gave me a 3 week nasty bruise that my doctor was wayyyy concerned About. He told me to go in and complain, I did. They never fill their beds, staff is unprofessional and 7 employees ganged up to complain about me because I complained about them. Unprofessional to the nth degree. You are not supposed to donate with a bruise because you could throw a blood clot, but they do it here! GO TO CSL PLASMA 144 W. GRAND AVE IN BELOIT, WI!! I have been going to Biolife in Janesville, WI for a couple of years now . I try to attend 2x's per week at the same time of day. The main program is to take care of yourself-plenty of rest, fluids, protein, don't eat fatty foods, iron. The procedure usually goes like clockwork. read more

I made my appointment, came prepared with all the correct paperwork....but what a disaster! The lady working the front desk was very nice. She was being pulled in multiple directions and was a bit flustered - understandable! I had to have a "vein check" since it was my first time donating. The woman that that checked my arms was rough and released the blood pressure cuff so quick it popped open and smacked the side of my face. She was too busy looking around that she didn't even notice, or if she did notice she didn't say anything. That seems to be the general attitude if everyone I see. They are busy - very busy - but the staff seem so annoyed and indifferent to everyone here. If you decide to donate, make sure you add an extra two+ hours on top of the hour their website tells you. First time donor experience was short and unpleasant. We scheduled our donations for 6:15 only to find that we had to be turned away because of a mistake that they made. They didn't bother to tell us beforehand, and behaved in an unprofessional manner towards us. If you're looking to donate plasma somewhere, I would recommend looking some place else. read more

There's always gonna be people you don't like.... They deal with 100s of people a day. (Personally I couldnt do it) as long as YOU are kind to the staff the staff will be kind to you... period lol the lines used to be super long where you would wait for over an hour to get a bed. But also we technically get "free" Monday. If you hate it leave. Everything can't just be handed to you. Patients is key when dealing with a "free Monday" service. I've only had great experiences here. I've been going to the Janesville location for almost a year now. Before that madison and I have nothing bad to say about either location. I'm kind to the staff so the staff is kind to me. Lately (maybe because it's summer) lines have been short. It's been nice. Haven't been able to donate due to low protein... but it's not their fault. It's my OWN responsibility to make sure I'm eating the proper food groups for my health needs. I will continue though going to this bio life. Ignore the bad reviews. I've been donating for just over a year and up until about 6 weeks ago my experience has been positive. The process from walking in the door to leaving use to take about an hour. Now you wait in line then wait to get a bed for over an hour! The management has done nothing to take out appointments so the back log and wait times are not an hour. This place kinda has you due to the fact its instant money and tax free. I am not sure what I'll be doing in the future but this has become a waste of my time! Please biolife do something to correct this and take out half, at least, of the appointments. We as doners are getting fed up! read more

I travel 45 minutes to go to a donation center other than Biolife. The nurses that they have doing physicals are rude and arrogant and do not do their job correctly and try to penalize the donor. The manager is a condescending bitch. Save your time and go to a decent center that appreciates their donors and treats them with respect read more

I went in to donate the fort time and they turned me away because I ate avocado and tomatoes... why didn't they give me a lunchable they have on hand there or go to Culver's next door since I was 20 minutes early. I went the next day and they turned me away because my iron was too low by 2 points.. why not tell me to go eat something with iron or give me s lunchable there? I went 6 days later and they were so backed up bc half the staff was gone. After being there over 2 hours I was getting anxious bc I have PTSD that is service connected. I told the nurse I have PTSD and she told the nurse. They turned me away. My PTSD is from military sexual trauma if they would if asked. They said I would have to get a doctors clearance to say I was ok to sit in the chair. I asked for a pdf so I could send it to my doctor and I could then print it off. They said they couldn't do that. I wouldn't of got so anxious if they would have not have their patient wait for so long. They overbook appointments and make patients wait which is unfair to people who just want to get in and out in a decent amount of time. I was discriminated against bc I have a military disability. Everything seems to be a problem if your not deemed perfect! Don't go here! read more

I've been going now for six months. Haven't been able to donate because protein was to low, had to give blood to be tested. Came back ok to donate, so now I'm eligible, BUT CAN'T donate because the guy that's suppose to "sign off" on the paper work was on vacation. Nobody else could sign off. In the meantime I keep getting all these emails for all these bonuses that I can't do (but am eligible) because of paper work. Really? I just got one today, 15.00 for the next two donations, expires Sat 12/22. Now - the positive.... they've always been very personable and nice. Love the people there. It's a good gig to do in that you can help save lives and earn a bit of money, but the customer service here is both atrocious and rude. They've sent me back forth 3 times (for me, that's over 3 hours of driving total) on separate occasions because a piece of mail wasn't good enough, or they failed to explain that I needed my social security card and failed to accept it on a tax form. Besides that, some, but not all, of the employees that work there are just rude and unprofessional and fail to use common sense when dealing with trivial problems. Initially, I was really looking forward to donating. When I first walked in, a front desk person welcomed me and took my temperature as well as asked questions pertaining to COVID-19. I was then directed to another desk where I showed my ID, social security card, and answered some questions. It wasn't until I went to get my veins checked that I felt very unwelcome at BioLife. The person checking my veins would not have greeted me if I wouldn't have said "Hello" first. I have a full tattoo sleeve on my right arm, so she immediately pointed out that it's ruled out from donating. I wasn't upset because I still had my left arm. She felt around for about 10 seconds then told me my veins are too small and I won't be able to donate. Then she said, "Ok. You're done." I grabbed my purse and said thanks. I was about to walk out, and at this point, I'm crying because I didn't know what I did wrong or what I could do to have my veins show more. Then I stopped and talked to the kind front desk person again, explaining what just happened. She directed me to the doctor and I went into his office. He told me the exercises I can do and how much protein I should be consuming beforehand. I asked him why the person who checked my veins said I wouldn't be able to donate at all. He literally put his arm up with his palm flat and said, "Don't listen to her. She's relatively new." I appreciate his advice, but this whole situation could've been avoided if she was trained properly. read more

First time donating plasma and the process took a little while but the donation part went really well. All the staff was very friendly. I have no complaints on the staff or the process of getting set up to donate. The only 1 complaint I have was they don't switch there gloves enough. I'm a phlebotomist myself and it's never okay to go from one patient to another without doing some type of hand washing technique weather it be remove the old gloves and use hand sanitizer or actually physically wash with soap and water. I watched the tech prep and remove two different patients needles before coming to me and getting me started without not 1 time changing her gloves. I though it was extremely unsafe. I actually requested her to change her gloves before starting my plasma donation. But I did notice that she didn't touch my skin at all with her gloves after prepping my skin with betadine and she inserted the needle properly to wear I wouldn't have been contaminated. She was a great worker besides that. That was my only complaint. The rest of the process was great. Everyone super friendly super informative and friendly. I felt like the nurses and staff explained each and every step to me. read more

The playroom here has been closed for so long making it impossible to donate for anyone who has young children. Whenever asked they just keep calling it "staffing issues". They need to fix those staffing issues because it's been two months since it started! Ridiculously unprofessional. read more
