I called NIRC on a Sunday morning just before we were driving our family member to the hospital for detox. A kind gentleman named Dominic answered the phone and gave us a plan for the immediate future. This was not the only facility we called but it was the only one that stayed in touch as we negotiated the hospital stay and where to go from there. Three weeks later our family member was released with a firm plan for sobriety and tools to use for attaining that goal as he moves back to Chicago. Those of you who have been through situations like this know it is difficult ... to have him safe and HEARD during his stay gave us all time to recover and plan for the future. Our family was at a crossroad and my husband was struggling to find his way back to us. That is until he found NIRC. I am forever grateful he found your program and walked through your doors. He entered broken and came out stronger. You gave him back his clarity and set him down a path with guidance, compassion and the tools that he needed to succeed. Pastor Bill Orris was his beacon and helped lead him through the fog. I am forever grateful that he found your program and ultimately found himself again along the way. He has now been sober one year and counting. There are no words to express the gratitude I have for your program and the impact it has had on our family. I honestly think we would be on a much different path had he not found NIRC and I hope that our story can give hope to others that are navigating through the darkness that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you NIRC and all of the staff that brough my husband back, not only to me, but to our family. We've made so many amazing memories with him this past year and he is able to look back, remember and reflect on everything that we've done together. house it's self is beautiful especially for sober living standards, but when it comes to how it's…read morerun I can't say the same. same rules don't apply to everyone, alot of playing favorites, by staff to the people in the house, somethings that one client would be put on behavioral contracts or blantely not allowed, another client would be allowed. for the price budgets for meals, cleaning supplies, activities are small and don't make sense. also doesn't help the clients when they ask for it or offer support in ways that they should. very much feels like they look at people coming into stay at the house more of dollar signs then people in recovery.

If you are having any sort of problems & need good guidance this is the LAST place i advise you to…read morego to. The employees here are awful and could care less about anybody but themselves. The place looks extremely put together online, the second I showed up I thought it was a different place. Overall horrible experience and not worth your time.

Went for a first visit (assessment). Was told that 1st visit was covered under my insurance, then…read moreafter that you have to follow the insurance policy (deductible etc). Wrong! Like untrained or incompetent. Then was taken in, introduced to a PT student who would do some assessing..I literally knew more about PT than he did. Then after 20 mins of measuring and one "unsupervised" rubber band excessive, we'll they said they were done. Filed a complaint, found out it was 100% on my deductible for the first visit. Was upset and not willing to pay for that BS service. The claim person called back. 3 calls later would still not reduce or cancel the bill. Said that they don't have authority. Wasted my time and money. Avoid this place like the plague. Especially if you need real PT after surgery.

Urgent care visit twice in this month. There was no wait. We were there maybe 4 minutes before we…read morewere called back. Both times they ordered x rays, then gave us the results and stabilized us until we could get into the respective specialist. Very thorough. We also see Dr. Arndt as our PCP. She's unbelievable. She spends time with you, listens to you, orders appropriate tests, explains things and offers suggestions. We have never had a bad experience in the 5 years we've been there. Highly recommeded.

I was there today so I could drive my son home after a procedure. There was a young mother with her…read more2 children, maybe 7 years old & probably around 10 months old. After the young child was taken back, the receptionist told the mother to take her baby out to the hallway because she was too loud. The baby wasn't crying, screaming or anything, she was saying da da. that was it. The receptionist was so rude to the mother. Try telling the couple speaking Spanish so loud you would think they were in a tavern, or the guy playing a movie on his phone with swearing and yelling to turn it down. I was flabbergasted at how this mother was treated because her baby was jabbering. But I'm not surprised, they hire some of the rudest receptionist I have ever met
