Agree with the earlier post about the workers being most college kids, and *some*of the clientele being the thug, swag crap or whatever that is.

Employees have all been very nice and helpful. Don't mind the extra 10 minute drive when it's not taking 3 hours to donate like the previous plasma center I went too.

I have been a longtime blood donor and tried donating plasma in the past. My blood donations were successful, but my plasma donations were hit or miss. This particular location is large, clean and has a familiar and friendly staff on deck. IB&P only takes walk ins, but I have never had to wait. The phlebotomists are again, efficient and patient, seeing to it that even I, a venous "problem child" have successful donations. If you are a first time donor, give yourself approximately 3 hours to get through the health physical, registration and donation (if you qualify.) You can donate plasma twice in a seven day period and (depending on the special) can earn an additional bonus for your first few success donations. I prefer this location as it is further from campus and very spacious. Plus being a difficult stick, I want to keep donating at a location where the staff is familiar (and patient) with me and my veins! Although it will not take the place of a full time job, donating is a win when by helping biologics development and earning some fun money! PS: They have a referral program, so you can earn a bonus if whomever you refer has a successful donation!

CSL promotes itself as "saving lives," but in reality they ruin lives. Long wait times, overcrowded lines, and low compensation are the norm. Donors are treated like numbers, not people, and employees are pushed beyond reasonable limits. This company makes an enormous amount of money--potentially thousands of dollars per bottle--yet pays donors as little as $50. That is greedy and unfair. CSL profits massively off people who are struggling, while giving back the bare minimum. CSL Plasma is one of the most greedy companies I've ever dealt with. They need to change how they treat both donors and employees.

Went through the whole screening process and it took at least an hour and a half, I get into the back office to speak with one the people working there and was told that even though I have been seizure free for 9 years and am on medication for it I would not be allowed to donate. I was beyond pissed, why was I told I could donate just to spend an hour and a half to be told the opposite? They should ask the medical questions in the beginning of appointment to save time. The whole placed also reeked of b.o. the smell was seriously awful, also the security guy was a joke, he was on his phone the entire time -not sure what they are paying him for.
