Your first visit will take about 2-3 hours because of a short physical. Every visit after that takes just over an hour. The money is nice, they have tvs and WiFi. If you take the time to talk to the employees you will have a good time. read more

Well I'm back after a four month break from donating. They still haven't sped this process up. Front desk is still regularly unattended. Dozens of people waiting in the lobby for close to an hour to only go sit in the rear waiting room for another half hour. Get ready to regularly be here for up to 3 hours just for a simple donation. Make sure to bring a butt pad as you'll be sitting the in the lobby for at least an hour. Kinda surprised they still have people showing up to donate. But I guess that's what happens when you feed off the poor. The place makes way too much money for it to be this terrible. 6 hours a week with a needle in your arm to walk away with 135 dollars... you can tell this place is aimed at people who are willing to do anything for a little bit of extra money. Bare minimum service at best. read more

Some of the staff are nice but they are either criminally understaffed or very slow. Having a dozen people waiting in the lobby for over an hour just for half of them to be deferred is not ok. Side note, the guy sitting next to me was drugged out of his mind, smelled horrible and was really disruptive. Its too bad there was 0 staff in the lobby for over 20 minutes to even say anything. My arm turned blue turning my donation, and while it was likely a cuff issue (way too tight), it took 10 minutes for a staff member to come around and fix it. I don't think I can justify coming back for the base pay of 45 dollars either after the initial 150; they can do better. read more

I'm actually surprised they have an average of even two stars. One of the most unprofessional plasma donation centers I've ever been to. 1st visit: They couldn't look up my information because of a "new system" that no one seemed to know how to work. I say that because I got to hear three different employees complain to each other how confusing the "new system" was. Hearing employees complain is something you have to get used to if you're going to donate here. Eventually they entered me in as a new donor and then the nurse in charge told me twice that my results would be ready in 2-3 days. A week later, I hadn't heard anything, so I called and was told that they didn't have the results back yet but they should be back soon and they would call me. A week later, when they still hadn't called, I called them again. My results were in but nobody had bothered to call me. By they way, despite no one from Interstate calling me, my phone has been ringing off the hook with spam robo-callers ever since I gave these people my phone number. Funny how that happens huh? 2nd visit: Two weeks after my samples were taken, I got to go in on a Sunday morning and watch a bunch of people who apparently hate their jobs talk sh**t about everyone they work with the entire time I was there. Look, I realize no one likes to work on a Sunday morning but these people were just acting vial to customers, each other, whomever. The woman who was acting like she was in charge (aka the loudest) was making fun of customers as soon as they turned their back, I actually saw her make fun of the way a guy was walking. You try to just turn up your headphones and ignore something like that but it was really ugly. 3rd visit: No one could explain why the app, which is meant for no purpose other than collecting your data still doesn't work after multiple visits. When three of the young ladies there couldn't figure it out, I said I wasn't interested in the fourth one giving it a shot and she took that as a declaration of war. There's no way I could recommend that anyone let any of these people put a needle in their arm. read more

It has been a while since I have been there, their machines need to be upgraded. I have donated before until a computer issue got complicated. I was doing fine with the machines I was used to. Their machines are dated back in the early 80's and 90's. The machines took too much time and they kept saying that it was me. The money they are making from the donations should allow them to be able to upgrade these machine. Good money, but they need equipment. I will return when this takes place. read more

They need to seriously retrain their employees to take a temperature correctly. I used my own device and my temperature was 98.2 and then the worker put the thermometer in the wrong spot in my mouth and my temperature was 95.9 and I was turned away, because of his mistake and they do not do retakes. Whatever you do, don't tell them you had a routine colonoscopy. I was fine, nothing was wrong with me, there were no ill effects from it and I got a 6-month deferral just because. I guess honesty will get you nowhere. If I hadn't been honest I could still be donating. (I spoke with my own doctor and she couldn't understand a 6 month deferral either.) Meanwhile I'm in the waiting area sitting next to a guy who smells like he just crawled out out of a dumpster filled with vodka and HE gets to donate. Okay.... read more

I would NEVER let these people touch me. Ever. My experience with this facility: 1) I was approved during an initial phone call (on issue regarding a previous surgery). 2) I then drove 45 minutes to them only to be "unapproved" for the exact same issue 3) I resolved that issue but was made to go through all the many questions and steps again, even though I was already completely entered into the system the first time. 4) Was asked to (yet again) fill out same questions at a kiosk. I started to when apparently the technician didn't get my attention with a quick comment (I thought I was doing as asked), so after giving a five-minute speech of instructions on how to "choose yes or no" without checking to see if I was hearing her, she actually got mad at me for "not listening" to her. I know this because she actually made a rude comment that I "didn't listen to a thing she said". Now, this in itself is a bit understandable I guess and normally I would've just blown it off because of her obvious immaturity, but she then became extremely rude. She started began facing me and making very loud comments under her breath to an associate just so I could hear. It was so stupid I felt like I was in an inner city movie. I politely let her know I had just been instructed on how to answer the questions and that "I got it". Whoo hoo! That set her OFF! She doubled down and got more rude and her comments continued. 5) I was then shuffled around some more-which really made me realize no one there had a clue as to what they were doing. I started to question whether I wanted them to do any type of procedure on my body. I was then made to wait (on a petty act of the angry Lab tech) and finally, ultimately rejected. Why? For the Original issue I disclosed on the very first call in. It was for being a veteran in Germany-which they never bothered to ask me about even though I'd also disclosed during a surgery I had recently had at the Veterans Hospital. My overall impression of this facility is that it's a group of extremely unprofessional employees basically just trying to cruise through their shift hoping nothing goes wrong. The "nurse" didn't even pronounce Kreutzfeld-Jacob disease correctly. God forbid someone have a medical emergency there. Very bad experience. read more

You would think that a place like this might want employees to be friendlier and show a little compassion even if they have to fake it. But I guess the job is really no different than working on an assembly line so what do they have to smile about? read more

The first hour of my experience was fine, and the staff was friendly. When It was time for my health screening I met the most unfriendly nurse ever. She seemed pretty annoyed by her job and was rude the whole time. Eventually, I found out that I couldn't donate because I lived in Germany for two years when I was a small child. I think maybe that could have been ruled out earlier in the trip to the center. It was just a waste of time really. read more

STAY AWAY. There was a shooting in the bathroom just a few weeks ago. Some of the staff are friendly, some are downright crass and ridiculously rude. I'm disabled, on a fixed income and in trying to do what I can to earn a very small bit more to help my family, wanted to "donate" - let's call it what it is, "sell". It should be noted that I regularly give blood, and my own doctors strongly asserted to Interstate's whiz-bang doctor that there's no issue whatsoever with my giving plasma, and my meds. Their doctor, writing "due to the level of pain this patient is in, it would not be in his best interest" (gee, thanks for looking out for 'my interest") and so they rejected me, my reiterating what my own doctors - 2 of them specialists, all of them knowing and treating me for years - strongly asserted in written notes to the facility, falling on a deaf pair of ears. Namely, THERE'S NO ISSUE. Meanwhile, the "donors" that regularly traffic there are very much, it seems, in the vein of the thug who came in to the building the last part of February - WITH A GUN - (funny how thugs don't really pay a lot of attention to signs that say "this is a gun free zone") and SHOT A WORKER IN THE FOOT. Guess I should have just lied - like the drugged out zombies I saw the day I went in. Yeah, great place. Good luck with all that. read more

Good place to make some quick cash. Staff is friendly and quick! Fifty dollars the first five times and around 30 bucks each time after that. Can easily cover a car payment if you go twice a week. read more

The center now has a computer automated system. The process goes much smoother now. Easy to get in and out in a timely fashion.
