We called our usual pest company and they came and sprayed the nest - during the middle of the day. That night I got stung. It was not pleasant. We ended up with our kitchen being off limits for almost 10 days because they KEPT COMING INTO THE HOUSE! After repeated calls to the pest guys (who kept reassuring us that the spray takes time), we finally called Dan! Dan came to first give us an initial consult 5 days into our ordeal. He wasn't convinced that our problem was taken care of then, but we were all in agreement to give it a few more days. Well the few more days didn't help. And here we are...today. We called Dan back and he came with no hesitation and had an action plan already in mind! He made his first cut behind the dishwasher-because we had seen the yellow jackets flying into the house from the sides. Upon moving the dishwasher, he was greeted with about 100 dead yellow jackets. Unfortunately the nest was not there. He then examined outside where we had seen them coming in. He then made a second cut inside through our lath and plaster (about the size of a softball-maybe a bit bigger) and FOUND THE NEST. The spray had only partially damaged it and it was 'still alive and very active' and was about the size of a large honeydew. Dan removed it quickly and patched up all the holes. Dan also gave us recommendations on how to fix it going forward. He also patched up the hole outside with steel wool to prevent any more yellow jackets from coming inside! Dan gave me my life back! Mena has been out to my house to fix my Speed Queen dryer twice, and each time I was able to…read moreschedule an appointment quickly and be up and running with my dryer in a couple of days. The first time Mena took care of my dryer it was under warranty and kept running without shutting off. I was going through Speed Queen for service and the first company they sent out came 2 or 3 times and each time the problem kept happening, they were unable to diagnose and fix it. Thankfully, I was able to get them to send a second company and Mena came out. He examined my dryer, was able to see some sort of short in the dryer, happened to have the part needed for the repair on the truck, and fixed the problem correctly in that first appointment. My dryer if working fine and this was over two years ago. The second time I had Mena come out, there were two metal pieces sticking out of my dryer. He talked with me on the phone, had me send pictures of the area, and was able to determine that the moisture sensor cover was broken and the metal pieces sticking out were the internal metal sensors that were coming out of the open sensor area. He ordered the parts, came out and fixed the sensors in under 30 minutes, and his prices are very reasonable. I am so thankful I have found Mena and will only use him and Be Tech for any appliance repair. Before Mena, I have had so many appliance repair appointments from other companies where they come out over and over again and are unable to fix problems on my dishwasher. Thank you, Mena!

In an hour long appointment I learned about what it means to build on fill on a slope, he evaluated the stability of the house, yard, and front and back retaining walls separately, and gave me best and worst case scenarios for various fixes. He also talked me through both professional and DIY options and the pros and cons of each. He was very knowledgeable about permitting and also gave excellent advice on a sliding deck and what to fix soon because it was pulling on the house siding vs what I could just avoid safely. I felt no pressure to buy or spend money or contract his firm at all, though I did end up asking for recommendations because I was so impressed by his expertise. As someone who likes to do their own research and understand exactly what I'm getting into this approach was perfect for me and he was happy to explain and answer all of my questions without ever making me feel like they were silly or basic.
