Fantastic service! Laura came out right away and dealt with a sudden odorous house ant infestation. She was informative and reassuring. In addition to spraying and leaving bait for the obvious ants in our house, she also took great pains to track down and identify the external source of the ants. This included a long crawl under our large deck to be sure she didn't miss any ants. Nate was extremely kind to add to his long day at 4:30pm to attend to our disturbing maggot invasion. While there was very little that could be done, his reassurance and thoughtful approach were comforting. He sprayed something that we are hopeful will make a difference. Too soon to tell. The woman on the phone, Olive (?) attempted finding a technician able to come and help us at 4pm on a Friday. She called several individuals and Nate was available and willing to investigate. We have had Biobug for over 4 years and no mice have gotten into the garage. It's hard to get in but not impossible. Sarah came about right away when I called her 2-3 weeks ago. I saw a mouse in the garage. She came out right away and added a repeater trap to catch it since it had been spotted 2 times. + the two other existing bait stations. When she came back the repeater trap caught two mice. She knew just what next steps to take to deal with our situation. She is also kind, calm and thoughtful! read more

Outrageously expensive, and I have truly never had worse customer service than when dealing with this company, particularly the owners' daughter and business manager Lucy. First, I was overcharged for a service that they did not provide and never received an invoice. I waited a week to see if I got one before calling, and when I did they confirmed I was overcharged and stated they would refund $100, which means they charged $250 for a single hornets nest. I asked why I was charged at the highest end of their scale for a single hornets nest, and was told I had to wait till tomorrow so that a tech could investigate further and explain the charge. I asked to speak to a manger, who got on the phone already angry with me, it was one of those situations. She told me that higher nests that require a ladder and involve stinging insects cost more. I asked her if it were a non-stinging bug, it would have cost less, to which she replied that they have a different price range for those pests. So, by this logic, they charged me $100 for their tech to use a ladder. I won't get into the unbelievably disrespectful tone and language that she used with me, but she ended up telling me that I am a difficult customer so of course they would charge at the top end of the price range. I could not even believe it. I was simply asking for an invoice for services provided so that I could understand why I was charged the top end of their range for that service. She also asked me if I just wanted to go ahead and make up their service fee menu myself because it seemed like I was trying to. Unreal. I ended up hanging up on the phone call because she yelled into the phone after I asked for the contact information of the owner (her dad). Absolutely do not use this company. Edit: Lucy replied defending herself and blaming me, a common approach I've experienced with them, and also stated that she has emailed me two invoices. I have not received a single email or invoice from this company. read more

In response to Steve's comments: The owner's comments are dishonest. Plain and simple. The home I'm purchasing is new construction, with absolutely zero evidence of wood destroying organisms. The sole purpose of hiring Bio Bug was to perform a pest inspection, as required by my mortgage lender. My realtor requested this exactly, and was quoted $50 by Ashley. That's why I called the office on August 16th (see Phone Call #2 in my review), to offer prepayment for the inspection fee. Steve's remarks about my realtor are unfounded and offensive. My realtor has 5-star ratings from more than 75 reviewers on Yelp, Google, and Zillow. She is VERY experienced with a long history of delighting the client, and her communication skills are superlative. The culpability rests solely with Bio Bug. Furthermore, Steve sent me a private message requesting I remove my review. The message was rude, accusatory, and extremely defensive. His "apologetic" tone in the publicly visible comments is inconsistent with the way he spoke to me both on the phone and in writing. Consumers, please judge for yourselves. The following are direct quotes from other Yelp reviews about Bio Bug - some of these appear in the "not currently recommended" section below (I assume because the posters only had 1 or 2 reviews at the time, which does not meet Yelp's algorithm criteria to be listed as a "recommended review"): "Dishonest company." (August 20, 2013) "The company refuses any liability...I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will probably end up taking them to small claims court." (March 4, 2014) "NOT IMPRESSED with BIO BUG." (April 16, 2014) "I would never use these guys again nor could I recommend them." (September 18, 2014) "The receptionists are rude and talk over you, and they lied in their computer notes." (August 21, 2017) The bottom line is this: The owner of Bio Bug and his employees are severely misguided on how to treat people in this small community. They do not have any listening skills, and are liars. As I mentioned previously, the $50 refund was pretty meaningless. I would have been much happier with no refund but a genuine apology. The repeated discourtesy and improper communication I experienced from Bio Bug was what compelled my review. The owner stopping g by was unacceptable. He was completely rude and to say when he left I was happy is complete bulls**t. I told him I felt ripped off and his methods were totally ineffective. He argued with me and any business owner should never argue then lie online that the encounter was mutually beneficial.
