I called Sasquatch Pest control and it took several tries to get on top of this. If the nest was outside, the crew would immediately remove it, but the spray they used was safer here cause I'm still living in the house! They came out yesterday all suited up like astronauts and put in a foam-based pesticide, waited for it to work, and finally used a big shop vac. It took a while! Nest was built all around cables and under shelving and even on top of a violin case! The wasps are FINALLY GONE from my home and I highly recommend Sasquatch Pest Control service. Instead of inferring from the sign of infestation (something that looked like termite frass), Ryan looked and poked around until he found a "suspect." It turned out to be pavement ants, not termites (phew). He gave me an option of me treating it myself or him treating it. Ryan was here for about 40 minutes, looking into the problem and treating it. The total I paid was $150 plus tax, which I think is more than reasonable. He also gave me the pricing for maintenance program for me to think about. He has good knowledge of little pests. He looked behind my stove and blocked some of the entrances, looked under my fireplace and found tiny little footsteps where they had been. Turns out in the winter they like the warmth under the fireplace. He set about three or four traps; one in my garage, one by the outside of the fireplace and one in the backyard. Jonas would come every couple of weeks to check them and show me how much they'd eaten. It's been a couple of months now and I haven't seen any little pests around. Hopefully they won't return. Shortly after complaining to the Pro Grass company about their workers urinating behind the garage.. at least that's what it looked like... and the fact that when they turned around it was obvious they were putting Mr Winky back in his hiding place; anyway.. after that complaint they started blowing all the yard debris onto my front porch area. I would not recommend Pro Grass for any business especially if there are young.. and older.. children running around.. which there are and were plenty when the obscene displays were happening. When I bought my house a few years ago, I knew it came with a huge yard, but did not know it came…read morewith an annual mosquito problem that would cause not only lots of itching, but prevent me from using my yard for most of the summer. I got quotes from a few places, and ended up signing up for regular service with TruGreen. They come weekly during the mosquito season, virtually eliminating the problem. They also spray (outside) for spiders which is a great bonus as my house has PLENTY. Their service is reliable, and I always get a text letting me know when the driver is on the way and when they are finished with the job. Their prices are a little high, although they do give discounts if you subscribe for multiple treatments and/or different service levels, or if you pay all in advance rather than monthly. At some point I'd love to sign up for extra services to make my lawn beautiful, but for now I'm very happy with the mosquito spraying so I can enjoy my yard again!
