The issue and concern we have with Foundation Restoration is a lack of transparency. We had 32 posts replaced under our house and were given a "lump sum" estimate that we signed and agreed to. It was communicated to us that the work would take place from 10/31-11/2 (roughly 3 days). The job wrapped up yesterday and in total it only took them one full day and 3/4 of another. We received our invoice this morning which literally just had a one-sentence description of the work followed by the remaining balance. I appreciated their promptness in getting us an email and requested that we see an itemized breakdown of how our $8k+ job was delineated. All I was looking for was to see how much of the $8K+ was going to labor and how much was going to materials. After three different exchanges, they are still refusing to give any information. Our house was flooded last year and over the course of 8 months repairing our home, we have worked with numerous companies. EVERY company we have worked with has at minimum given us a breakdown of labor and material costs. I'm frustrated because I genuinely believe the cost for our project was estimated significantly higher than the actual cost and Foundation Restoration is unwilling to specify their labor/material costs so they can hide behind a "lump sum" estimate. For these reasons, I would NOT recommend Foundation Restoration.

Dry Guys Restoration and Optimus Property Solutions have left…read moreus physically sick, financially devastated (over $10,000 lost), and displaced from our home -- twice. We moved into our apartment in late October 2024 and almost immediately found severe water damage, black mold, and extreme humidity. The discoveries spiraled into CAT3 mold, major water damage, and rotted sills/studs in the wall, despite property management claiming the apartment to be mold free, leak free, clean, and inspected prior to moving in. Dry Guys "inspected" the unit on November 8, 2024 -- and 170 days later, the repairs are still incomplete. I warned both companies about my autoimmune disease, epilepsy, and health sensitivities to mold -- but they ignored it. I ended up hospitalized during this ordeal. Dry Guys' workmanship was horrific: * Flooring was incorrectly installed with gaps sloppily filled with caulk. * Countertops were installed chipped and left sticky with residue. * Plumbing failed repeatedly -- the garbage disposal didn't work, the sink leaked, the faucet wasn't installed correctly. * They built the countertop too short, then shaved down the support beam to force fit our dishwasher (likely compromising its stability). * Containment was a joke: the barriers failed repeatedly, letting dust and spores spread through our entire apartment. During the restoration process, the subfloor was left exposed, we had no access to our kitchen for months, and temperatures dropped during winter -- yet neither company declared the unit uninhabitable, even when it legally was. Kashia from Optimus Property Solutions told us they couldn't do anymore than refund rent and some cleaning fees, stating, "the owner has put thousands and thousands of dollars into repairs" -- while the owner publicly bragged on Instagram about turning a $400k purchase into a $1 million valuation on our complex. His website bio even highlights how he became a millionaire at 32. Clearly, protecting profits mattered more than protecting tenant safety. After a "alleged" second leak surfaced, the companies ignored us again -- refusing to open walls, ignoring dripping sounds and mold smells, and brushing off standing water beneath the apartment. We were told, there's no leak, not our problem -- while condensation puddled on our windows, the smell once again destroyed our items, our clothing grew wet inside drawers, and puddles gathered under our apartment. In short: * Dry Guys Restoration's work was rushed, unsafe, and incomplete. *Dry Guys left a complete mess behind that I'm still cleaning up to this day, and wouldn't properly fix the work they had poorly executed. They refunded $294, which I had to fight for, it took forever to get the check, and doesn't begin to cover for our time, emotional distress, sickness, or damages. * Optimus Property Solutions protected profits over tenant health and legal responsibilities. * We were left sick, homeless, financially drained, and traumatized while the "alleged" leak is still in our apartment and NO ONE is taking responsibility or trying to fix it. Avoid these companies at all costs if you care about your health, safety, or sanity. *Will update with any changes* *This post reflects my personal experience and opinions*

They were so helpful with identifying the source of the water leak and what needed to be done. We initially dealt with a mitigation company who used scare tactics to pressure us into using them while they were TRIPLE the price. Tim and Gavin came in, gave us clear details about the issue (while also assuring us that it wasn't an emergency), and were patient with our delayed scheduling while we waited to sort out other home issues (we never felt pressured by them). On top of everything, they also gave us a detailed breakdown of how to handle a SEPARATE mold issue in our garage without charging us a dime. Again, a different mitigation company said it would be THOUSANDS of dollars and that we would need to completely cut out dry wall and potentially move our furnace. I really appreciated Cascade Mitigations honesty, VERY fair pricing, and great work with resolving our issue. I HIGHLY recommend them and I won't be using any other mitigation company if future issues should arise. :)

My claims adjuster had to keep checking in with me because my insurance company was not getting any follow up on the process. I felt like the general contracter, as I was the one calling them to make sure they had me on the schedule for the week, let alone I was also asked to let them know of any sheetrock workers because they couldnt find any. I was told at my work via some local contractors that Z Construction is on a lot of contractors Black List to not work with. (now I understand why) If you ever want to get a timely response back from them, good luck. It really sucks to have your home destroyed by a house fire and to hire someone in the dire time whom you trust. Every step on the way was a hassel. My brand new ceilings already have cracks in the drywall. I got the vibe that the subcontractors were the bottom of the barrel and hired out of being desparate. Anywho.... DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. What happened with this guy?…read more A few years back, during the pandemic, Terry was helpful in cleaning my carpet. Yeah, he shared his controversial beliefs without being asked which was odd and uncomfortable, but he did the work. Fast forward to 2026, after thinking he had retired then being referred to him by another business, I tried his services again. After he arrived and talked at me for about 20-minutes, I took my dogs for a 40-minute walk while he was to clean a 3'x10.5' area. Upon my return he was packing up his supplies and said he was done. I believe all he did was spray Odoban, scrape his vacuum over the carpet and call it good. The carpet showed no sign of deep cleaning and these few weeks later the smell has returned... Odoban wears off, which explains why he left me with a bottle. Bottom line, Terry talks your ear off, you have a 50/50 chance he'll do the work needed, then has the audacity to charge $200 regardless. Also, he complained about his clients, and complained about Bellingham PD, then before he left he also managed to make derogatory statements about "illegals" driving up from Seattle and stealing his work. A "professional" spraying Odoban on carpet is not cleaning and certainly not worth the $200 he charged. While I prefer to entrust local businesses, I cannot use or recommend this one. I do NOT recommend this business, and I won't try a 3rd time.
