They were quickly handed to me, adjusted and that was it. I had to actually ask for a case, wasn't offered one. Wasn't offered a cleaning cloth or anything for them. These are minor things but would have completed the experience. With the past three purchases I made at other shops -this was the norm. There weren't any other customers in the store at the time so it's not like they were busy. I also mentioned that the line if site (I wear bi-vocals) felt very off. I realize there is an adjustment period. This really didn't feel right. It was quickly dismissed. I asked if I should really give it a week. "Yeah give it a week , that's not unusual". Would have been nice if they asked specifically what was off or looked at my other glasses to compare. Won't be returning.

They tried to gaslight me that seeing double was normal and I just needed to get used to the new prescription - yes, really, they actually said this. Then when I complained again a week later - because I was seeing double! - they tried to blame it in the lenses and not the new prescription they prescribed. Finally, they had a different doctor examine me and she gave a different prescription. Even then, no one ever admitted they were wrong and only offered the meekest of apologies and never offered anything to try to make up for the 4 trips I had to take to their office due to their mistakes. Just plain awful service. And also dangerous to suggest to someone to just suck it up and wear lenses that makes them see double.

My friend recommended Warby Parker and I did have a couple hundred I had planned on spending so I checked them out online and the same pair of glasses were $345 total. After I email the receipt and get reimbursed $250 from insurance my total cost will be $95. Idk about you but if that's not price gouging, what is? That's a 1280% difference in price. I have been a patient and customer at this location for years. Before this winter, I would have…read moregiven then 3-4 stars. However, it is always the crisis that shows the true character of a person or business, and this was true for me. I awoke with changes in vision that were concerning enough that I called them to ask if my upcoming medical eye exam should be moved forward or if I ought to be concerned. I was asked to come in for an immediate exam in 2 hours. This is the busy time of year for Foster vision, with everyone trying to use their insurance before the year runs out, but they got me in and tested my eyes in ways I had never experienced before. They fit me in, amongst all the hustle and bustle, because it was an emergency. And, when they were concerned about the results, they called an eye surgeon for me and I had an appointment there on Tuesday. In other words, they took a medical concern seriously, made space for me in a day crowded with others, advocated for me with another provider, and generally made sure I was okay. And, in the end, that is what I want from Foster Vision. When it really counted, 5 stars.

Dr. Sarah Curtiss is the best. I think I might be the worst person at taking eye exams because I…read moreoverthink them, and it took four visits for us to figure out what my first contact prescription would be, but I was only charged the contact exam and fitting fee the first time. Plus I got to try a few different sample boxes first so I never felt ripped off like I have at other places. Dr. Curtiss really seems to care about getting it right and making you happy, and she's a very sweet person. We need more doctors like her, who treat you like a human and not a number to get through. The rest of the staff is nice too, I think it might be all women (at least that I've seen) which is pretty rad. I didn't try on or buy glasses here so I can't speak to that part but they do seem to have a nice selection and I like the warm wood ambiance instead of the stark white clinic feeling get at some other places. Only advice I'd give is to not arrive too early and don't bring a friend. There's only two small chairs to wait in by the door and it doesn't really feel set up to be a waiting area. But that's a small thing. Two other pros for me: they accept Care Credit, and they follow up with text messages that you can actually respond to. Like many of my generation I can't always get myself to call them, but they were easy to talk to via text as a follow-up.

Holy Guacamole!!! i had been neglecting my vision for quite a bit longer than i should have…read more(yeeears). i waltzed into this lovely establishment, and immediately met with an incredibly mindful and knowledgeable optometrist, who assessed my vision using cutting-edge technology. they didn't even have to blow the air in my eyes! once my eyes were assessed by the pro, i was partnered with Leah Parker, who did an incredible job in helping me find the exact frames that met my very specific requirements. Leah hand-selected several glasses for me to try on, and gave a thorough rationale behind each intentional decision. Leah gave me honest feedback-- if i liked something that didn't work for my face, Leah helped me explore other options.
